HaLow (pronounced halo) is a low-power, long-range version of the IEEE 802.11Wi-Fi standard. HaLow is based on the Wi-Fi Alliance 802.11ah specification and is expected to play an important part in the Internet of Things
(IoT). Wi-Fi CERTIFIED HaLow, the designation for products incorporating IEEE 802.11ah technology, augments Wi-Fi by operating in spectrum below 1 gigahertz (GHz) to offer longer range and lower power connectivity.
