In each case, LCU 6333 is factory mounted in the end product, so there are no special precautions the customer needs to take in terms of installing LCU 6333. Each manual for the different end products where LCU 6333 is applicable will contain the below statements for FCC and Industry Canada. FCC statements Changes or modifications to the equipment not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and

(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This device complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. The antenna used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. FCC ID: Y7V-LCU6333 Application for Limited Modular Approval The LCU 6333 consist of a completely self-contained radiofrequency transmitter device, that is typically incorporated into a door lock or wall reader.

(i)

(ii) The LCU 6333 does not have its own shielding*. The LCU 6333 does not have any modulation inputs, or data inputs that affect radio transmission.

(iii) The LCU 6333 has internal 3,3V and 1.8V voltage regulators for supplying power to the transmitter.

(iv) The LCU 6333 has a permanently attached antenna

(v) The LCU 6333 has been tested in a standalone configuration

(vi) The LCU 6333 is equipped with a permanently affixed label, displaying its own FCC identification number. This label will be visible, also when the LCU 6333 is installed inside a lock. When the LCU 6333 are installed inside a wall reader, this label will not be visible. A separate label will then be added outside the product stating: Contains FCC ID: Y7V-LCU6333.

(vii) No specific rules or operating requirements apply.

(viii) No applicable RF exposure requirements applies

* The LCU 6333 does not have its own shielding, so we are requesting a limited modular approval only to be used in ASSA ABLOY products. To achieve similar condition in all our products, and reduce influence by the surface which it is mounted onto, the LCU 6333 are, always mounted on a metal plate.
