Our company may change this mobile phone without prior written notice and reserves the final right to interpret the performance of this mobile phone. Due to different software and network operators, display on your phone may be different, refer to your phone for details. 1.2 Safety warning and Attentions ROAD SAFETY COMES FIRST Do not use a hand-held phone while driving. Use hands-free fittings when calls are unavoidable while driving. In some countries, dialing or receiving calls while driving is illegal!
SWITCH OFF IN AIRCRAFT Wireless devices can cause interference in aircraft. Using a mobile phone in flight is illegal and risky. Please make sure that your mobile phone is powered off in flight. SWITCH OFF BEFORE ENTERING RISKY AREAS Strictly observe the relevant laws, codes, and regulations on the use of mobile phones in risky areas. Turn off your mobile phone before entering a place susceptible to explosion, such as an oil station, oil tank, chemical plant or 3 a place where a blasting process is under way. OBSERVE ALL SPECIAL REGULATIONS Follow any special regulations in force in any area such as hospitals and always switch off your phone whenever it is forbidden to use it or, when it may cause interference or danger. Properly use your mobile phone near medical apparatuses, such as pacemakers, hearing aids and some other electronic medical devices, as it may cause interference to such apparatuses. INTERFERENCE The conversation quality of any mobile phone may be affected by radio interference. An antenna is built inside the mobile phone and located below the microphone. Do not touch the antenna area during a conversation, lest that the conversation quality deteriorate. QUALIFIED SERVICE Only qualified personnel may install or repair phone equipment. Installing or repairing the mobile phone on your own may bring great danger and violates the warranty rules. ACCESSORIES AND BATTERIES Use only approved accessories and batteries. USE SENSIBLY Use only in a normal and proper manner. EMERGENCY CALLS Ensure the phone is switched on and in service, enter the 4 emergency number, e.g. 112, then press the Dial key. Give your location and state your situation briefly. Do not end the call until told to do so. Note: Just like all other mobile phones, this mobile phone does not necessarily support all the features described in this manual due to network or radio transmission problems. Some networks even do not support the emergency call service. Therefore, do not rely solely on the mobile phone for critical communications such as first aid. Dial key Press it to originate a call by entering the called number or selecting a contact from the phonebook; or press it to receive an incoming call; or press it in standby state to show the latest call records. End key Press it to end a call being dialed or end an ongoing call; or press it to exit the menu and return to the standby state; or hold it for two or three seconds to power on or off the mobile phone. Left and right soft key The bottom line on the screen displays the functions of the Left and Right soft key. Direction key Press them to scroll the options when browsing a function list. In edit state, press direction keys to navigate. OK key Press it to confirm your selection. Delete key Press it to delete a character before cursor. Linefeed This key helps to switch to another line when the interface is in the edit interface. Sym key 6 Press it in the edit interface to input a symbol. Space key Press it in the edit interface to get a blank. Shift key Press this key to switch between input methods. Alt In edit interface, press it to input an alternative symbol or number. Number keys, letters Press number keys or letter keys to in input or edit state to input numbers or letters;
3 Getting started 3.1 Installing the SIM Cards and the Battery An SIM card carries useful information, including your mobile phone number, PIN (Personal Identification Number), PIN2, PUK (PIN Unlocking Key), PUK2 (PIN2 Unlocking Key), IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity), network information, contacts data, and short messages data. Note:
After powering off your mobile phone, wait for a few seconds before removing or inserting an SIM card. Exercise caution when operating an SIM card, as friction or bending will damage the SIM card. Properly keep the mobile phone and its fittings such as the SIM cards beyond children's reach. 7 Installation Hold the End key for a while to power off the mobile phone Push the back cover above the battery and remove it. Pull the left battery buckle outward and then lift the battery away. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot lightly with the corner cutting of the card aligning to the notch of the slot and the gold plate of the card facing download, till the SIM card cannot be further pushed in. With the metallic contacts of the battery facing the metallic contacts in the battery slot, press the battery down until it locks into place. Phone lock code The phone lock code may be set to prevent your mobile phone from being misused. In general, this code is provided along with the mobile phone by the manufacturer. The initial phone lock code is set to 1122 by the manufacturer. If the phone lock code is set, you need to input the phone lock code when powering on the mobile phone. PIN The PIN (Personal identification number, 4 to 8 digits) code prevents your SIM card from being used by unauthorized people. In general, the PIN is supplied with SIM card by the network operator. If PIN check is enabled, 8 you need to input the PIN each time when you power on your mobile phone. The SIM card will be locked if you input wrong PIN code for three times. Unlocking methods as follows:
-Input the correct PUK according to the screen tips to unlock the SIM card.
-Then input the new PIN and press the OK key.
-Input the new PIN again and then press the OK key.
-If the input PUK is correct, the SIM card will be unlocked and the PIN will be reset. Note: The SIM card will be locked if you input wrong PIN code for three times. To unlock the SIM card, you need to input the PUK. In general, the PUK can be obtained from the network operator. PUK The PUK code (Personal Unlocking Key) is required to change a blocked PIN. It is supplied with SIM card. If not, contact your network operator. If you input wrong PUK code for 10 times, SIM card will be invalid. Please contact the network operator to replace the SIM card. Barring code A barring code is required for setting the call barring function. You can obtain this code from the network operator to set the call barring function. 3.2 Installing T-Flash Card The T-Flash card is a pluggable mobile storage card inside 9 the mobile phone. Insert the T-flash card into the T-flash card slot. Note:
1. The mobile phone cannot automatically identify the T-flash card being inserted when the mobile phone is powered on. You must power off the mobile phone and then power it on, so that the phone can identify the T-Flash card. 2. The T-Flash card is a miniature object. Keep it out of the reach of children for fear that children swallow it!
4 Using the Menus 4.1 Phonebook The mobile phone can store up to 1000 telephone numbers. The telephone numbers that an SIM card can store depends on the storage capacity of the SIM card. The telephone numbers stored in the mobile phone and in the SIM cards form a phonebook. 4.2 Call history Through this function, you can view a list of missed calls, dialed call and received calls. 4.3 Calendar Once you enter this menu, there is a monthly-view calendar for you to keep track of important appointments, etc. Days with events entered will be marked. 10 4.4 Multimedia TV:This function enables you watch a TV program you want. TV setup Set Region: Select your region, e.g. If you are in Mexico, you can select Europe and North America, and then select Mexico. Input Channel : Input Channel. Program List: : Show a list of channels. Auto SeanTo search TV channels automatically. Full Screen: Full Screen. Camera: Use this function to capture pictures Image viewer: You can view the pictures or images through this function. Video recorder: Use this function to record video files. Video player: Use this function to play video files. By pressing the direction key can you control the playing process of video player: play/pauseOK key, fast forward
(press right direction key) and rewind (press left direction key). Audio player: Use this function to play audio files. By pressing the direction key can you control the playing process of audio player. Sound recorder: The phone support WAV and AMR. The AMR takes the compression algorithm. So in the same memory condition, it has longer recording time than WAV. FM radio: You can use the application as a traditional FM 11 radio with automatic tuning and saved channels. In FM radio interface, you can press left or right direction key to search channels manually, down direction key to play/pause the playing process of the current channel, up direction key to enable auto search. Melody composer: You can use this function to compose melody. After finishing composing, you can set play speed and select different instrument to play the melody. 4.5 Camera Use this function to capture pictures 4.6 Messages Through this function, you can create, read or send a new message. Write message: Access this menu to create a text message or a multimedia message. Inbox: Received messages are listed in this item. Drafts: Drafts messages are listed in this menu. Outbox: The messages which are sent failed are stored in the Outbox. Sent messages: Sent messages are listed in this menu. Delete messages: You can delete messages stored in Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, etc through this function. Broadcast Message: This network service enables you to receive a variety of text messages, such as broadcast messages about weather forecast or road conditions. At present, few networks provide this service. Please consult the network operator. 12 there this menu, Templates: Ten text templates are embedded in the phone. They can be used to create a new message. Message SettingsThis function enables you to set the default features about the SMS, MMS and service message. 4.7 Application Calendar: Once you enter is a monthly-view calendar for you to keep track of important appointments, etc. Days with events entered will be marked. Tasks: You can create new memos through this function. If you have set the alarm for the memo, alarm will sound when time is up, the content of memo will display at the same time. Alarm: Five alarm clocks are set but deactivated by default. You can activate one, multiple or all of them as needed. For each alarm clock, the ringing date and the ringing time can be set. World clock: Access this menu to view time of main cities in various time zones. Notes: You can record some information in this menu. Calculator: The calculator can add, subtract, multiply and divide. To use the calculator: Press the up, down, left and right key to select , , , , respectively. Press right soft key to delete the figure. Hold down the #key to get the decimal point. Confirm with the OK key or the left soft key. 13 Currency converter: To use this function: First, Input one rate and confirm. Second, input local money amount. Last, confirm get the amount of foreign currency. Stopwatch: Stopwatch is simple application for measuring time with possibility to register several results and suspend/resume measurement. E-book reader: E-book reader enables you to read TXT file. Through the USB connecting line putting files to E-book folder of phone or T-Flash card. Facebook: Log on Facebook through a web. Ebuddy: Log on Ebuddy through a web. MSN: Log on MSN through a web. Yahoo: Log on Yahoo through a web. Twitter: Log on Twitter through a web. Opera mini: Log on Opera mini through a web. Skype Log on Skype through a web. Google: Log on Google through a web. 4.8 File manager The phone provides a certain space for users to manage files and supports the T-Flash card. The capacity of the T-Flash card is selectable. You can use the file manager to conveniently manage various directories and files on the phone and the T-Flash card. You can use this function to format all the data in the memory. 4.9 Manage Connections Bluetooth: With Bluetooth, you can make a wireless connection to other compatible devices, such as mobile 14 phones, computers, headsets and car kits. You can use the Bluetooth to send images, video clips, music, sound clips and notes, and transfer files from your compatible pc. Data account: Access this interface to set Data account related parameters. 4.10 Java Java is a folder where downloaded games and applications are stored. Java settings: You can set the java audio(1-7 or off), Java backlight(on/off), Java vibration(on/off), Select SIM(1/2), Java SIM1 Profile, Java SIM2 Profile, Heap size. Java default security: Set Java default security related parameters as needed. 4.11 User profiles The mobile phone provides multiple user profiles, so that you can customize some settings to adapt to the specific events and environments. 4.12 Settings Dual SIM switch: Manually selected by user and automatically decided by SIM cards are available for you to choose. You can select one of them as per your needs. Dual SIM settings: Dual-SIM refers to two SIM card slots, and the two cards can standby at the same time or set one of them to display on the idle screen. Phone settings: through this function, you can set time, date, language, shortcuts, etc. Note: When flight mode is engaged, it will suspend many of the device's signals 15 transmitting functions thereby disabling the device's capacity to place or receive calls or text messages while still permitting use of other functions that do not require signal transmission (e.g., games, built-in camera, MP3 player.) Display: Users can access this item to set wallpaper, screen saver, power on/off display, etc. Call settings: Through this function, you can set call waiting, call barring, call diverts, etc.\
Network settings: Set Network selection mode to Automatic or Manual. Automatic is recommended. When Network selection mode is set to Automatic, the mobile phone will prefer the network where the SIM card is registered. When Network selection mode is set to Manual, you need to select the network operator's network where the SIM card is registered. Moreover, you can select the preferred networks. By default, the network where the current SIM card is registered will be displayed. Security SettingsYou can use the security settings to ensure the safety of mobile phones and SIM cards to use. Restore factory settings: Use this function to restore factory setting. The initial password is 1122. Sound effects: Access this menu to select audio effects as per your needs. 4.13 Web Internet service: This function enables you to view the internet. Your phone will ask you with existed way. You 16 can start to view only by starting corresponding way. Homepage: indicates the default website of the internet Bookmarks: used to save most commonly-used websites Input Address: input the website to be searched and press finish button to access to the network directly. Last web address: browse the record of the last web address. Recent Pages: browse the record of the recently browsed web pages.-
Settings: set up WAP-related service Note: Consulting the local network operator for related fee and specific setup. STK: STK service is the tool kit of SIM card. This phone supports the service function .The specific items are depended by SIM card and network. 4.14 Games Four games are embedded in this menu. For specific operation, please refer to help option of the game 4.15 FM radio You can use the application as a traditional FM radio with automatic tuning and saved channels. In FM radio interface, you can press left or right direction key to search channels manually, down direction key to play/pause the playing process of the current channel, up direction key to enable auto search. 17 5 Appendix Appendix 1Troubleshooting If you find exceptions when operating the mobile phone, restore the factory settings and then refer to the following table to solve the problem. If the problem persists, contact the distributor or service provider.
