Ericsson AB requests a Grant of Certification (Type Acceptance) for the above mentioned FCC Identifier. The radio operates in the broadband radio service band as per 47 CFR Part 27. This radio (AIR 6468 B41) is designed for use in LTE mobile telephone system. This radio operates in Band 41, the transmitter and the receiver from 2496 MHz to 2690 MHz. It supports channel bandwidths of 15MHz and 20 MHz. The radio supports modulation types of QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM and 256 QAM. The radio unit supports carrier aggregation. The radio has the ability to be used in a RBS system configured for 3GPP FD-MIMO and beamforming technologies as an Advanced Antenna System. This radio will in normal mode operates at a maximum power of 1.875W per port at the transceiver array boundary

(TAB) connector. The radio has 64 TX/RX ports. The Exhibit 8 user manuals submitted with this application is generic and may cover multiple products. This application is only valid for the model specified in the Exhibit 12 circuit description. Ericsson AB requests confidentiality under CFR 0.459 according to attached letter. As we believe that we have implemented groundbreaking solutions and designs into our recent BS/Radio Unit (RU) / Remote Radio Unit (RRU) / Radio DoT (RD) compared to the previous BS/RU/RRU/RD, the listed Exhibits/Items need to be protected from disclosure to our competitors in the industry. As the FCC records have in-depth information and a very wide distribution, we believe that you can understand our concerns. We are strong in our belief that all vendors in the industry need to compete by their own merits. We regard these Exhibits/Items to be our intellectual property and therefore as confidential information. There are advanced technical and design solutions/information in the Exhibits/Items, as mentioned above, that we regard as Ericsson proprietary, with actual and potential patents pending. The information can be advantageous to our competitors as well as sources seeking ways to hack past the built in security functionality.
