This microwave oven is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. A good microwave cookbook is a valuable asset. Check it for microwave cooking principles, techniques, hints and recipes. NEVER use the microwave oven without the turntable and support nor turn the turntable over so that a large dish could be placed in the microwave oven. ALWAYS have food in the microwave oven when it is on to absorb the microwave energy. When using the microwave oven at power levels below 100%, you may hear the magnetron cycling on and off. It is normal for the exterior of the microwave oven to be warm to the touch when cooking or reheating. Condensation is a normal part of microwave cooking. Room humidity and the moisture in food will influence the amount of moisture that condenses in the microwave oven. Generally, covered foods will not cause as much condensation as uncovered ones. Ventilation openings must not be blocked. Your microwave oven is rated 1000 watts by using the IEC Test Procedure. In using recipes or package directions, check food a minute or two before the minimum time and add time accordingly. ABOUT MICROWAVE COOKING Arrange food carefully. Place thickest areas towards outside of dish. Watch cooking time. Cook for the shortest amount of time indicated and add more as needed. Food severely overcooked can smoke or ignite. Cover foods while cooking. Check recipe or cookbook for suggestions: paper towels, wax paper, microwave plastic wrap or a lid. Covers prevent spattering and help foods to cook evenly. Shield with small flat pieces of aluminum foil any thin areas of meat or poultry to prevent overcooking before dense, thick areas are cooked thoroughly. Stir foods from outside to center of dish once or twice during cooking, if possible. Turn foods over once during microwaving to speed cooking of such foods as chicken and hamburgers. Large items like roasts must be turned over at least once. Rearrange foods such as meatballs halfway through cooking both from top to bottom and from the center of the dish to the outside. Add standing time. Remove food from microwave oven and stir, if possible. Cover for standing time which allows the food to finish cooking without overcooking. Check for doneness. Look for signs indicating that cooking temperatures have been reached. Doneness signs include:

- Food steams throughout, not just at edge.

- Center bottom of dish is very hot to the touch.

- Poultry thigh joints move easily.

- Meat and poultry show no pinkness.

Small flat pieces of aluminum foil placed smoothly on the food can be used to shield areas that are either defrosting or cooking too quickly. Foil should not come closer than one inch to any surface of the microwave oven. Should you have questions about utensils or coverings, check a good microwave cookbook or follow recipe suggestions. ACCESSORIES There are many microwave accessories available for purchase. Evaluate carefully before you purchase so that they meet your needs. A microwave-

safe thermometer will assist you in determining correct doneness and assure you that foods have been cooked to safe temperatures. IKEA is not responsible for any damage to the microwave oven when accessories are used. ABOUT CHILDREN AND THE MICROWAVE Children below the age of 7 should use the microwave oven with a supervising person very near to them. Between the ages of 7 and 12, the supervising person should be in the same room. As with any appliance, close supervision by an adult is necessary when used by children. At no time should anyone be allowed to lean or swing on the microwave oven door. Children should be taught all safety precautions: use potholders, remove coverings carefully, pay special attention to packages that crisp food because they may be extra hot. EXTERIOR ODOR REMOVAL The outside surface is precoated steel and plastic. Clean the outside with mild soap and water; rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use any type of household or abrasive cleaner. DOOR Disconnect the power cord or deactivate the oven with setting Child Lock before cleaning to prevent unexpected manipulation. Wipe the window on both sides with a soft cloth to remove any spills or spatters. Metal parts will be easier to maintain if wiped frequently with a soft cloth. Avoid the use of spray and other harsh cleaners as they may stain, streak or dull the door surface. INTERIOR Cleaning is easy because little heat is generated to the interior surfaces; therefore, there is no baking and setting of spills or spattering. Se utilizan toallas de papel reciclado que contienen pequeas piezas de metal en el microondas. Declaracin de interferencia de frecuencia de radio de la Comisin de Comunicaciones Federal

(slo EE.UU.) Este equipo genera y utiliza energa de frecuencia ISM y si no se instala y utiliza correctamente, es decir, en estricta conformidad con las instrucciones del fabricante, puede provocar interferencias en la recepcin de radio y televisin. BISAGRAS E P STILLOS DE LA PUERTA SELLOS Y SUPERFICIES DE SELLADO CAVIDAD DEL HORNO CUBIERTA DE LA GUA DE ONDAS INSTRUCCIONES DE CONEXIN A TIERRA Este electrodomstico debe conectarse a tierra. Este horno microondas est equipado con un cable o cordn provisto de un alambre y enchufe de conexin a tierra. ste debe enchufarse a un tomacorriente de pared el cual debe estar instalado y conectado a tierra adecuadamente de acuerdo con el Cdigo Elctrico Nacional (NEC, por sus siglas en ingls) y los cdigos y regulaciones locales. NUNCA utilice el horno microondas sin la bandeja giratoria y soporte, ni voltee la bandeja giratoria con el fin de colocar un plato grande en el horno microondas. SIEMPRE mantenga alimentos en el horno microondas mientras est encendido para que absorban la energa de las microondas. Al utilizar el horno microondas a niveles de potencia inferiores al 100%, usted puede escuchar al magnetrn encendindose y apagndose. Es normal que el exterior del horno microondas permanezca caliente al tacto cuando se cocina o recalienta alimentos. La condensacin es parte normal de la coccin con microondas. La humedad y el vaho de los alimentos en el rea donde se encuentra el horno microondas influenciarn la cantidad de humedad que se condensa en el horno microondas. Generalmente, los alimentos cubiertos no ocasionarn mucha condensacin en comparacin con los alimentos descubiertos. No se deben bloquear los orificios de ventilacin. ES El horno microondas est diseado para la preparacin de alimentos nicamente. No se debe usar para secar ropa o peridicos. Su horno microondas tiene capacidad de 1000 W de potencia nominal utilizando el procedimiento de prueba segn la Comisin Electrotcnica Internacional (IEC). Al utilizar recetas o las instrucciones indicadas en el paquete, verique los alimentos uno o dos minutos antes del tiempo mnimo y prolongue el tiempo de ser necesario. INFORMACIN SOBRE LA COCCIN CON HORNOS MICROONDAS Arregle los alimentos cuidadosamente. Coloque las reas ms gruesas hacia la parte exterior del plato. Vigile el tiempo de coccin. Cocine durante el perodo ms corto del tiempo indicado y prolongue el tiempo si es necesario. Los alimentos cocinados en exceso pueden quemarse o encenderse. Cubra los alimentos mientras se cocinan. Consulte la receta o el libro de cocina para obtener sugerencias sobre los artculos apropiados como: toallas de papel, papel encerado, envolturas plsticas para microondas o tapas. Cubra con pedazos pequeos de papel aluminio las reas delgadas de carne o pollo para evitar su coccin excesiva antes que las reas gruesas se cocinen completamente. Voltee los alimentos una vez durante la coccin con microondas para acelerar la coccin de alimentos tales como pollo y hamburguesas. Pedazos muy grandes como trozos de carne para asar deben voltearse por lo menos una vez. - El alimento produce vapor por todos lados, no slo en el borde.

- La parte central inferior del plato est muy caliente al tacto.

- La carne y el pollo no estn rosados.

- El pescado est opaco y se desmenuza fcilmente con un tenedor. Exceder el tiempo mximo que indica el paquete de las palomitas de maz. Perforar las yemas del huevo antes de cocinarlo para evitar una explosin. Hacer pequeos agujeros en la piel de las papas, manzanas, zapallos, hot dogs y salchichas para liberar el vapor. Usar palomitas de maz empacadas en una bolsa especial para cocinarlas en el microondas. Escuchar mientras las palomitas revientan para saber si hay una demora de 1 o 2 segundos o use una almohadilla especial para popcorn

(palomitas de maz). 32 ES ALIMENTO LO QUE DEBE HACER LO QUE NO DEBE HACER Alimentos para bebs General Transferir los alimentos del beb a un plato pequeo y calentarlos con cuidado, revolviendo con frecuencia. Toallas de papel son buenas para cubrir alimentos, para recalentar y absorber la grasa mientras se cocina el tocino. Papel encerado que puede ser usado para cocinar o recalentar. ondes ou un couvercle. Couvrir les aliments empche les claboussures et leur permet de cuire de manire uniforme. Protger les parties de viande ou de volaille trs minces par des petits crans en papier d'aluminium pour viter qu'ils ne cuisent trop vite par rapport aux parties plus paisses. Si possible, remuer les aliments de l'extrieur du plat vers le centre une ou deux fois pendant la cuisson. Retourner les aliments comme du poulet et des galettes de viande une fois au cours de la cuisson afin d'acclrer le processus. Il faut retourner les grosses pices comme les rtis au moins une fois. Au milieu de la cuisson, dplacer les aliments comme les boulettes de viande, de l'intrieur du plat vers l'extrieur, et du haut vers le bas. Prvoir du temps de repos. Retirer les aliments du four et, si possible, les remuer. Couvrir les aliments pendant ce temps pour leur permettre de finir de cuire. Vrifier la cuisson. Rechercher les signes qui indiquent que les aliments sont cuits point. Par exemple :

- La vapeur s'lve de toute la surface des aliments, pas seulement des bords.

- Le fond du plat est trs chaud au toucher.

- Les cuisses de poulet se dtachent facilement.

- La viande et la volaille ne prsentent plus de parties roses.
