For shifting to another place after the installation, please strictly follow the steps of dismantling and installation, use the same packing materials with the original to pack the equipment, and choose a quality logistics or transportation company. Otherwise, it may cause damage to the equipment. Risk of electric shock or re Please DO NOT expose the product to rain or water or put containers containing liquid near the product. In the case of any accidental water spatter or leakage into the inside of the machine, please immediately contact KAT customer service center for an inspection before reuse of the product. Please DO NOT expose the product and its accessories to re or heat and try to avoid direct sunlight. Please do not insert any item into the product vents or other openings. Please turn o all the relevant power supply before pulling out the plug and DO NOT randomly cut o the power supply to the product. Please pull out the plug before a thunderstorm. Please plug out by pulling up the plug instead of directly pulling the cable. Please make sure the socket voltage is consistent with the value printed on the back of the product or in the instruction manual before connecting the product to a socket. Otherwise, please do not make the connection. Safety Reminder As the use of the product by players weighing more than 100kg may result in destructive damage to KAT WALK, which in turn leads to potential safety risks. Therefore, those players should not use KAT WALK for the safety of themselves and the service life of KAT WALK. As the height of the product is limited and players of over 190cm tall tend to hit the equipment, those players should not use KAT WALK for their own safety. Caution Failure to follow the above instructions may lead to injury or bad consequences and KAT will not be held responsible for it. 6 Attention Maintenance Maintenance of base plate Once KAT Shoes match the materials of the KAT WALK base plate, there will be a xed friction coecient, which is the balance point for the best experience. Thus, abrasion to the base plate will inuence the product experience and the service life of the base plate. In view of that, please note the following before the use:
Prevent the base plate from contacting with non KAT Shoes or any other object. Make sure the base plate is clean without any dirt before using the machine every day. If necessary, please apply a drop of the complimentary equipment dedicated maintenance oil (only one drop is needed). Check if there is any dirt on the sole sliders and wheels of KAT Shoes. Instructions for regular examination of girdle When a customer weighing beyond the limit (>100kg) or with an overly sized waist, please duly check if the girdle set has deformed. It is advised to conduct a regular examination on the girdle set every other week, mainly checking if the bolt at the connection on the back of the girdle set has loosened, if the washer at the bolt bottom has come o, and if the girdle set has deformed. Any problem of the girdle set may cause safety issues. As it is a component that is prone to wear and tear, the warranty period for it is three months from the issuance of the invoice. Please immediately contact the after sales service by dialing the KAT hotline if any of the above situations occur. Instructions for daily maintenance of three-in-one cable and sensors power supply cable It is necessary to carry out the daily maintenance of the three-in-one cable and the sensors power supply cable to prevent them from being damaged due to entanglement. Check if the three-in-one cable and the sensors power supply cable have any tangling every day by following the steps below:
Step one: entanglement of the three-in-one cable and the sensors power supply cable (tangling): based on the tangling direction, rotate the connecting rod in a reverse direction until the three-in-one cable is separated from the sensors power supply cable. Step two: twisting of the three-in-one cable (twisting, and marked wrinkles can be seen on the outside): take o the head-mounted display, and based on the twisting direction, rotate the display in a reverse direction until the cable returns to the smooth state with no twist. Health Warnings The following health warnings will be updated on an irregular basis for accuracy and completeness Please read the User Manual before using the product and follow the instructions to do the settings. Incorrect settings may increase the risk of discomfort. Pregnant women, the elderly, or those with visual disorder, having a medical history of mental illness or were once aected by serious medical conditions such as heart disease, are advised to consult a doctor before using the product. As dierent people have dierent constitutions, use of the product for a long time is not recommended in case of any discomfort, such as giddiness, dizziness or headache. If you feel any discomfort, please immediately stop using it and do not engage in any activities that may involve danger (such as driving), until all the symptoms are gone. If the symptoms persist, please do not continue to use the product without consulting to a doctor. If the user has a medical history of epilepsy or photosensitive epilepsy, please consult a doctor before watching such VR contents as ashing light sources or fast image sequences. Children should use the product under their parents administration to prevent any of the above mentioned discomfort. As the visual system of children under 13 years old is not fully developed, they are not advised to use the product. It is not advised to use the product for too long for the rst time (limit it within a few minutes). The duration should be increased bit by bit only after the gradual adaption to the virtual reality. A comfortable VR experience requires intact sense of movement and balance. Thus, if users who are tired, need sleep, are aected by alcohol or drugs, are under hangover, nervousness or anxiety, or have a headache or earache, are strictly prohibited from using the product. Otherwise, it will lead to more severe discomfort. 7 Product Introduction KAT WALK Product Introduction KAT WALK is a VR multi-direction mobile platform, which is also called VR treadmill. It breaks the virtual and real-life space limit, enabling users in extremely small space in reality to carry out 360 boundless movements in the virtual world through the combination of dierent components including the VR head-mounted display. Installation Instructions Please carefully read the relevant information provided in this Manual before installing the KAT WALK. As the product is quite heavy, please arrange more than three male adults for the installation. Please keep the power o during the installation to avoid any potential safety risk. Please place a foam pad of more than 20cm thick (included in the packing box) when installing the support pillar to prevent the shell from being damaged. When the product is working, please do not install or dismantle without permission to protect yourself from the current, and do not open the product even when it is not working. Caution As there are quite many cable ports, please prepare at least one three-hole plug and four two-hole plugs, and as the adapter is big, please make sure there is sucient space between plugs. Tool Preparation Open the complimentary KAT WALK dedicated tool box, which contains the following:
One bottle of KAT WALK maintenance oil A set of inner hexagon spanners One open spanner 22-24 One screw box One hook spanner 45-52 11 Starting Installation Installing the KAT WALK Multi-Direction Installing the Mechanical Structure 1. Place the base plate on a at and open oor and use the spanner to adjust the base plate holder to prevent the plate from sliding. 2. Turn the metal hinges on the baste plate towards outside. 3. Unscrew the two bolts on the support pillar. 12 Starting Installation 4. At least two persons lift the support pillar and place it at the location on the base plate as shown in the gure. Turn the hinges to direct the holes on the hinges at the screw holes on the support pillar, and re-install the bolts unscrewed at the last step. 5. One person holds the pillar to prevent it from toppling, while the other one place a 20cm foam pad (included in the packing box) at the location where the pillar lies. 6. Place the pillar down with caution. 7. Insert the girder into the support pillar with the anges closely contacting with each other. 13 Starting Installation 8. One person holds the support pillar, while two other persons turn the girder so that it rotates from a lying position
(position 1) to a 90 angle (position 2). Place the bolt at the connection between the girder and the support pillar in the washer and fasten it. As shown in the gure, insert the telescopic stick into the round hole at the front of the equipment, and slot the spring pallet and the spring into the stick; then screw the safety nut onto the stick and the M5 set screws (two) to the side of the stick; screw the round nut into the stick, and use the hook spanner to tighten it; nally slot the nylon nut into the upper end of the stick and tighten it. As shown in the gure, use the M5 screw to x the cable at the corresponding position at the girder head (note: the top cable hole faces the front). 11. Unscrew the screw on the top cover o the shell. Install the top cover to the front end of the girder and use the unscrewed screw to fasten it, as shown in the gure. 12. Put in the three-in-one cable (the red dotted line in the gure) from the lower end of the telescopic stick and pull it out from the upper end. Put the sticking three-in-one cable and the KATVR-Top Sensor cable through the girder and fasten them with the R-shaped clips (the two clips on the girder have been installed to the square tube). Red - three-in-one cable bundle Blue - KATVR-Top Sensor cable bundle Reserved cable length of 90-100cm Caution The product accessory clips are used to tighten the three-in-one cable and the KATVR-Encoder cable and users need to tighten them on their own. 1 Starting Installation 13. As shown in the gure, install the shell at the girder tail, put the three-in-one cable and the KATVR-Encoder cable through the shell and tighten them with the R-shaped clips. The installation personnel erect the support pillar and one male adult should hold it to prevent it from toppling, while the others install the set screws and make sure they are tightened. Installing the ground plug: as shown in the gure, install the grounding plug onto the support pillar and tighten the screws. Note: The screws have been installed onto the support pillar upon delivery and the grounding plug is included in the accessory box. 16. Installing the support pillar bottom shell: slot the support pillar bottom plastic shell 1 into the pillar and adjust it to the appropriate position. Install the pillar bottom plastic shells as shown in gure 3.1.3 and use the st3.5 screw to tighten. Lock the st3.5 screw when ne adjusting it to the position shown in gure 3.1.4. One person stands below the telescopic stick and pull the stick to the bottom, one person directs the connecting rod at the hole on the connecting panel of the telescopic stick, and another person installs the bolt to x the connecting rod. M10 screw + spring washer + at washer 18. Install the equipment storage hook. Unscrew the screw o the connecting rod, put it through the installation hole on the equipment storage hook and x it onto the connecting rod. KATVR-Relay dedicated power supply cable Unscrew this screw to install the equipment storage hook 19. Loosen the base plate holder, move the KAT WALK to an appropriate position, re-x the holder to prevent the KAT WALK from sliding, and nish the installation. 20. Installing the pedals: As the upper surface of the KAT WALK base plate is concave and to enable users to better use our equipment, pedals that perfectly match the base plate are added under the support of the railings on the upper end of the girder. There is no need to install the pedals, which can be matched directly with the base plate. They are xed onto the plate through their own weight with no connection between them and the plate. 18 Starting Installation Instructions for the Base Plate Holder There is an upper nut and a lower nut on the base plate holder, with the lower one adjusting the holder, while the upper one xing it. Please do tighten the two nuts when xing the KAT WALK. 1. When moving the KAT WALK, turn the upper nut on the base plate holder clockwise to move the nut down, and turn the lower nut counter clockwise to move the nut up. With the base plate holder shortened, the KAT WALK can be moved. 2. When xing the KAT WALK, turn the lower nut on the base plate holder clockwise to move the nut down, and turn the lower nut counter clockwise to move the nut up. Caution 1. The proper and steady installation of the support pillar structure allows the user to have a good experience, and thus, please check if the support pillar is correctly and steadily installed. 2. During the installation, avoid putting any items on the base plate and do not randomly step on the base plate in case of any damage to it, which spoils users experience. 3. After the installation, check if all the bolts and nuts are fastened. 4. Please turn o the power and make sure all the circuits are power o to avoid potential risks before installing the circuits. 5. As the length of the three-in-one cable for the head-mounted display is limited, please watch out for the length of the remaining cable when connecting the circuit on the girder. 6. As there are quite many circuits, please dierentiate the connection at all the interfaces. 7. If a bolt is not fully concentric with its hole during the installation, please slightly turn the component to make them concentric. 19 Starting Installation Installation of KAT WALK Magnetic Side Plates Our product is equipped with the KAT WALK magnetic Side Plates for aesthetics and protection for the mechanical structure. Install the magnets to the installation surface on the left and the right of the base plate. Soft magnet Installation surface As the side plate is magnetic, we only need to put the magnet close to the installation surface as shown in the gure, and it will be attracted towards the surface. Adjust it so that it is in the center of the surface. 20 Starting Installation Connection of KAT SENSORS List of Included Sensors Welcome to use a combination of KAT-SENSORS, and the Sensors you have received consist of the following components:

Pairing of KATVR-Central and KATVR-Back Sensor The KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor are paired when the six-digit dialers are dialed to the same position. Similarly, dialing the dialers to dierent positions can prevent communication interference for the KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor between dierent equipment. Please note the positions of ON and the digits 1-6 as shown in the gure, which are wrong:
Caution Within the same place, all the KATVR-Central dialing values should dier from each other, and so it is for the KATVR-Back Sensor dialing values. Otherwise, the KATVR-Central of one piece of equipment might connect to the KATVR-Back Sensor of another. Within the same place, all the wireless receiver dialing values should dier from each other, and so it is for the KATVR-Foot Sensor dialing values. Otherwise, the KATVR-Foot Sensor of one piece of equipment might connect to the wireless receiver of another. Pairing of the KATVR-Foot Sensor Modules The two KATVR-Foot Sensor and the wireless receiver are paired when the six-digit dialers are dialed to the same position. Dialing the dialers to dierent positions can prevent communication interference for the KATVR-Foot Sensor and the wireless receiver between dierent equipment. Green indicator: when it is on, it means the KATVR-Back Sensor is connected to the KATVR-Central. 26 Starting Installation Connecting Sensors 1. Dial the 6-digit red dialer of KATVR-Back Sensor to match the 6-digit red code of KATVR-Central Sensor. When dialing, note the distinction of the digital direction and the position of ON on the encoder. 2. Dial the six-digit red dialer for the wireless receiver to the same position as that for the two KATVR-Foot Sensor. 3. Connect one end of the USB-A type extension cable for the wireless receiver to the receiver and insert the other end into the USB port of the PC. 4. Insert the other end of the KATVR-Top Sensor connecting cable into the KATVR-Top Sensor port on the side of the KATVR-Central Sensor. 5. Connect one end of the USB-A type extension cable to the KATVR-Central Sensor and insert the other end into the USB port of the PC. USB
. 27 Starting Installation Power Switch Upon conrming the proper installation and connection of the product, press the power button for all the devices a. Check if the handles are fully charged. You may check the control handle battery charge level when not running any program or upon opening the main control panel of the system. When the battery charge level is insucient, the indicator will display a red dot. Use the accessory power adapter and the USB data cable to charge each control handle. When the handles are powered on and fully charged, the status indicator will display green color (powered on) or white color (powered o). b. Connecting base station to power The base station needs continuous power supply when being used and it is advised to install a power socket near the station. c. Power supply to KATVR-Back Sensor 1. Power for the KATVR-Back Sensor is supplied through the USB dedicated power supply cable tied to the back of the connecting rod. Supply power to the head-mounted display before the use. 2. The power for the KATVR-Back Sensor is supplied by the portable power bank. Fix the power bank to the connecting rod and connect the power bank to the KATVR-Back Sensor with the KAT dedicated power cable. Make sure the power bank has sucient power before the use. d. Enter the platform page, where the left side shows the category of games and the QR code of the Company, and the user may choose the game based on his/her preference. The middle area displays all the KAT adaptable games under the selected category, with colored icons indicating that the game has been downloaded while the black-white icons indicating the the game has not been downloaded yet. The upper right part of the interface will show the account name and the remaining K coins, and please watch out for the remaining coins. The right side of the interface shows the popularity of the games. 32 Starting Installation 2. Select the game and click Enter details to view the introduction of the game for more details. If the game is not installed to the computer yet, please click Install on the right side of the interface to install the game. While downloading and installing games is free of charge, a certain number of K coins will be consumed when playing the game. If the game is already installed, the right side of the interface will display the button for setting up the game time and the button for starting the game. 6. Start the game. After selecting the game, enter the game and the right side of the interface will show the button for setting up the game time, which can be done by clicking + or -. Click Start to start the game and the upper left corner of the interface will display the remaining game time, while the upper right corner displays Minimize, Restore and O. 33 Starting Installation Game Settings How to Enter the Game Settings Page On the right side of the main interface, the gears area is the button to access game settings. The administrator may set up the game by entering the page of game settings. KAT will preset the parameters for the game software and please do not change them randomly. If there is any problem, please contact the KAT service center for advice. Then the threshold values for the front inclination and the rear inclination of the KATVR-Magnetic will change accordingly. Calibration: After installing the base station and the KAT WALK, click Calibration when turning them on for the rst time to conrm the orientations for the walking and the head-mounted display. Click Calibration again when moving the base station or the KAT WALK. Restore default: The software will preset the DZ and DM values. If you would like to restore to the factory settings after changing the two values, you may click Restore default and they will be restored to the factory settings. Settings: After changing the DZ value and the DM value, click Settings so that the changes take eect. Caution Please do not randomly change the DZ value and the DM value as they are preset before the delivery. 35 Starting Installation Calibration Settings 1. Place the HTC VIVE head-mounted display (Not included with this version, it needs to be purchased separately) above the girdle set, and make sure the orientations of the display front, the girdle opening and the KAT WALK are consistent. 2. Open the settings page and click Calibration at the bottom. 3. Afterwards click Calibration, the KATVR-Top Sensor value will turn into 0. 4. After nishing the calibration, immediately start setting up the room mode without moving the head-mounted display, the girdle or the KAT WALK. 5. Click the SteamVR at the upper left corner of the testing software Steam and it will display the menu page. Click the Settings for running the room on the top. Ready 36 Starting Installation 6. Choose the Stand only mode. 7. Click Next. 8. Click the Calibrate central point. 37 Starting Installation 9. Click Next after nishing the calibration. 10. Key in the distance between the head-mounted display and the oor: 110cm, and click it to calibrate the oor. 2 11. Click Next after nishing the calibration. 38 Starting Installation 12. The room settings are nished, click Finish. Caution 1. Make sure the orientations of the head-mounted display front, the girdle set and the KAT WALK are consistent during the calibration. 2. Do not randomly move the KAT WALK or the base station after the settings. Please re-do the set-up if you move the KAT WALK or the base station. 39 Starting Installation Static Value Settings 1. The static value needs to be set up upon the successful calibration. 2. A player of 150-180cm tall and weighing no more than 100KG is required to put on the girdle set and stand upright on the WALK. Click the icon of Static and it will show a successful setting of the static status, which will be dened as the static value. Then the threshold values for the front inclination and the rear inclination of the KATVR-Magnetic will change accordingly. Click Settings and exit the page. Caution The static value must be set up before each player plays the game since dierent people have dierent gures and walking styles. 40 Starting Installation Quitting the Game 1.Turing o during Click the Close button at the upper right corner of the page to turn o the game. Click Quit at the upper right corner of the page and it will prompt a box requesting you to conrm whether to quit the game. Click Conrm to quit the game and Cancel to continue the game. 41 Starting Installation 2. Game over When the game is over, the page will pop up a window indicating that the time is up. Click Conrm to end the game and Play again to restart the game, and an equivalent amount of K coins will be deducted. Turning O the Software Click Close at the upper right corner of the page and it will prompt a box requesting the input of the password. Key in the password and click Conrm to turn o the software. 42 Starting Installation Help Center The Help button is located on the upper right part of the page. Click it to enter the self-help repair service page under the technical support on the KAT ocial website. You may view the introduction of the game and the videos and texts for common operations in this page. 43 Starting Installation Click the drop-down box for the Introduction of the game and you will see the list for all the games on the platform. Choose a game and you will be able to view the basic introduction and the instructions of the game. Click the drop-down box for the Videos of Installation and Use and you will see the videos and texts for the installation and daily use. Select an operation and you will be able to view the corresponding video and text. 44 Starting Installation Correct Wearing Putting On the Equipment 1. The player sits on a chair, puts on the KAT SHOES (KAT SHOES COVER) by himself and steps on the pedals;
2. The players holds the safety railings, carefully walks into the base plate of the treadmill and turns around with the back facing the treadmill. The sta member needs to ensure the players safety when he walks in;
3. The sta member helps to tighten the girdle set and leg set. 4. Press the switch button on the side of the KATVR-Foot Sensor, and wait until the KATVR-Foot Sensor red indicator is o and the blue indicator is on. Caution 1. KAT SHOES are designed with a special structure where there are wheels on the rear end of the soles. Thus, the sta member needs to be aside after the player puts them on to prevent him from falling over. 2. Make sure the girdle set and leg set are tightened for the safety of the player. 3. For the best experience during the rst time, it is suggested that the player has a trial walk of 1-2 minutes before the experience. 4. Turn o the switch by pressing the switch button on the side of the KATVR-Foot Sensor when not using them to reduce power consumption. Taking O the Equipment 1. The player takes o the head-mounted display;
2. The sta member dismantles the KATVR-Foot Sensor;
3. The sta member helps to untie the girdle set;
4. The player walks out of the KAT WALK with the sta members help;

Make sure the girdle set and leg set is tighten for the safety of player 45 Starting Installation Installation and Dismantling of KAT SHOES COVER Sensors Fast Replacement of KATVR-Foot Sensor A fast replacement module has been designed in the structure of the IMU sensor for an easier replacement of IMU sensor on the shoes cover. The replacement can be done in fast way through the turning of the IMU main body and the buckle. Dismantling of the Main Body of KATVR-Foot Sensor:
Turn the main body of the IMU counter clockwise to pull out the main body of the KATVR-Foot Sensor. Installation of the Main Body of KATVR-Foot Sensor:
As shown in the gure, t the slot of the main body into that of the buckle and rotate it clockwise to the position shown in the gure. When you hear a click sound, it means the installation has been successfully done. 46 Starting Installation Installation and Dismantling of KAT SHOES Sensors Installation of KATVR-Foot Sensor:
Insert the buckle of the KATVR-Foot Sensor into the external elastic belt of the Shoes and make sure the two sides of the buckle are inserted into the belt respectively, as shown in the gure:
Installation of the Main Body of KATVR-Foot Sensor:
1. Fix the main body of the KATVR-Foot Sensor to the buckle, as shown in the gure:

Turn the KATVR-Foot Sensor counter-clockwise and pull it out. 48 Starting Installation Dismantling and Replacement of KAT WALK VR Omni-directional Treadmill Safety Reminder For safety purpose, please make sure all the power sources are o before the dismantling. Dismantling the Shell 1. Unscrew all the bolts on the metal plate at the bottom of the support pillar to separate the plate. 2. Unscrew all the bolts on the metal plate at the girder tail to separate the plate. Dismantling of Mechanical and Electrical Structure 1. Plug out all the DC cables connected to the power socket. 2. Turn the base plate holder and move the KAT WALK to a at and open eld. 3. Unscrew the bolt on the installation panel of the connecting rod to dismantle the rod. 4. Dismantle the metal plate shells of the KAT WALK one by one. 5. Turn the xing bolt at the bottom of the support pillar, with one person holding the pillar at its back to prevent it from toppling suddenly. 6. Put the support pillar down backwards so that it lies at on the oor. Place a foam pad of at least 20cm thickness down the pillar in advance. 7. Pull out the three-in-one data cable of the head-mounted display on the telescopic stick from the girder, extract the data cable part in the telescopic stick, and take the three-in-one data cable out of the head-mounted display. 8. Unscrew the xing bolt on the ange between the support pillar and the girder and turn the girder so that it is parallel to the oor. 9. Turn the ange between the support pillar and the girder to separate them. 10. Unscrew the bolt between the support pillar and the base plate and turn the hinges to separate the pillar and the plate. 49 Starting Installation Instructions for Replacing KAT SHOES It is advised to replace the wheel at the rear part of the KAT SHOES if it is loose or cannot roll properly. It is advised to replace the sliders on the sole of the KAT SHOES if they are severely abraded. As the slider in the front is more prone to abrasion than the other one, they may be swapped before the replacement. It is suggested to replace the KAT SHOES if the surface is abraded. Steps for Replacing Sliders The sliders and the wheels are designed with a snap-t slot, during the replacement, 1. Hold the two ends of the KAT SHOES and squeeze it inwards with the sole bulging out. 2. As the slot of the slider expands, the old slider can be removed very easily. 50 Starting Installation 3. Take o the old one and insert the new one in the same way. 4. Release the KAT SHOES, and the slot will return to the normal size. The new slider will automatically t into the slot and the replacement is nished. Steps for Replacing Wheels 1. Turn the sole of the KAT SHOES upwards. 2. Pry up the wheel with the accessory wheel replacement tool. 3. Take out the old wheel, insert the new one, and the replacement is nished. 51 Starting Installation Instructions for Replacing KAT SHOES COVER It is advised to replace the slide block at the sole of the KAT SHOES COVER when it is loose or cannot roll properly. Steps of Replacing Slide Blocks 1. One hand holds the Cover, while the other pinches the slide block. Then bend the block outwards with strength. 2. Take the damaged block o the Cover. 3. Take out the new block. 52 Starting Installation 4. One hand holds the Cover, while the other press the block into the block slot. Caution Make sure the orientations of the block upper and lower surface are consistent with those of other blocks when pressing it. 5. Complete the block replacement. 53 Starting Installation Unable to Walk or Walk Slowly in the Game Cause: The DLL les are not installed Solution: Contact the KAT service center to obtain the DLL les and put them under the system32 directory in the C drive. Cause: Incorrect connection of KATVR-Foot Sensor Solution: If the working indicator on the KATVR-Foot Sensor is red, check if its six-digit dialer value is consistent with that of the wireless receiver. If not, please re-dial the dialer. Cause: Inconsistent dialing values of the two KATVR-Foot Sensor Solution: Turn o the two KATVR-Foot Sensors, and make the values of the two KATVR-Foot Sensors consistent with that of the wireless receiver. Cause: KATVR-Foot Sensor error Solution: If the re-dial does not work, then there is an error with the KATVR-Foot Sensor which may need to be replaced with a new one. Cause: The static value is not set; improper operations in the settings of the static value Solution: Re-set the static value by following the steps on page 37 of the User Manual. Make sure the player stands upright on the KAT WALK when setting up the static value. If the player is thin, ask him to slightly lean back. Cause: The player did not stand upright on the KAT WALK as instructed in the settings of the static value Solution: Re-set the static value by following the steps on page 37 of the User Manual. Make sure the player stands upright on the KAT WALK when setting up the static value. If the player is skinny, ask him to slightly lean back. Cause: Inconsistent values of the KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor or multiple equipment with the same dialing value in the same place Solution: Check if the dialing value of the KATVR-Central is consistent with that of the KATVR-Back Sensor. Make them consistent if not and note the position of the ON on the dialer when dialing it.
(If there is more than one KAT WALK within the same room, check if their values are the same. If so, please dial the dialers to make the values dierent.) 54 Starting Installation Inconsistent Walking Orientation Between Figures in the Game and in the Reality Cause: The calibration is not done Solution: Complete the calibration by following the steps on page 33 of the User Manual. Resupply the power to the control center to start it. The Power Indicator of the KATVR-Central Is Not On Cause: No power supply to the KATVR-Central Solution: Check if the USB cable is loose. Plug the cable out and in, replace the USB port on the control center and resupply the power to the KATVR-Central. Cause: KATVR-Central error Solution: Replace the KATVR-Central with a new one 56 Starting Installation The Blue Indicator of the KATVR-Central Is Not On Cause: The KATVR-Back Sensor is not power on Solution: Check if the KATVR-Back Sensor is power on. Plug the cable out of and into the power socket of the KATVR-Back Sensor . Observe if the blue indicator turns on. Cause: Inconsistent values of the KATVR-Central and of the KATVR-Back Sensor or multiple equipment with the same dialing value in the same place Solution: Check if the dialing value of the KATVR-Central is consistent with that of the KATVR-Back Sensor . Please browse our website for the latest information http://www.katvr.com Safety Risk of place selection Please do not place the product in the following places: Outdoor places with direct sunlight Unstable places, or places with slopes or vibrations Exhibition stand with inadequate load bearing or places made of glass Disaster prevention places such as safety exits or places with reghting equipment If it requires changing the place for usage after installation, please do strictly follow the steps of dismantling rst, use packs of the same materials as the original pack and select a high-quality logistics or moving company. Otherwise, the device will be prone to damage. Please be alerted of it Risk of electric shock or re Please do not expose the product or its accessories to rain or water or put any liquid container near the product. If water is accidentally splashed or inltrated into the inside of the device, please plug out the power immediately and contact KAT customer service center for inspection before reusing the product. Please do not place the product or its accessories near re or heat, and avoid exposing it directly under the sunlight. Please do not insert any items in the product vent or other openings. Please plug out after switching o relevant products and do not randomly cut o their power supply. Please plug out the product before a thunder storm. Please pull out the power cable from the plug section and do not directly pull the cable. Please make sure the socket voltage is the same as the value printed on the back of the product or within the guide manual. If they dier, please do not connect the product to the power supply socket. 7 Attention Health Warnings The following health warnings will be updated anytime for accuracy and completeness. Please carefully read the product instructions before using the product and do the setup according to the instructions. Incorrect setup may increase the risk of discomfort. It is advised that pregnant women, the elderly, those with visual disorder or a record of mental illness or those once aected by other serious health conditions such as heart diseases, consult with the doctor before using the product. As dierent people have dierent constitutions, we advise not to use the product for a long time in case of anydiscomfort, such as giddiness, dizziness, headache, etc. If you have any discomfort, please stop using it immediately and stop any potentially dangerous activities (such as driving) for the time being until the symptoms completely disappear. If the symptoms persist, please do not continue to use it without consultation with the doctor. If the user has a medical history of epilepsy or photosensitive epilepsy, then he/she needs to consult with the doctor before watching VR with ashing light source or fast image sequence. Children must use the product with parents aside to make sure that they will not suer from any of the above mentioned discomfort. As the visual system of children under 13 years old has not completely matured, it is not advised for them to use the product. Those who weigh over 100kg are not advised to use the product due to the limited load bearing of the base plate and shoes. The best body height for the product is 150-180cm. Do not use the product for too long (control it within a few minutes) when using it for the rst time. The period of usage can only be lengthened step by step after the gradual adaption to VR. Comfortable VR experience requires undamaged sense of movement and balance. The user is strictly forbidden to use the product when he/she is in fatigue, needs sleep, is aected by alcohol or medicine, or suers from hangover, mental stress or anxiety, headache or earache. Otherwise, the symptoms of discomfort will only be worsened. Please stop using the product immediately if the following symptoms occur Epilepsy seizure and loss of consciousness; eyestrain, eye or muscle cramp, involuntary movement, visual change, blurred eyesight or other visual disorder; dizziness and loss of direction; damaged sense of balance or hand-eye coordination capability; excessive sweating, nausea, dizziness, head or eye discomfort or pain, drowsiness, fatigue or any symptoms similar to motion sickness. Just like the symptoms people feel after getting o boat, the symptoms caused by VR may last and become more obvious hours after the usage. Abrasion to the base plate will result in declined product experience and aect the plate life. Please note the following three points prior to usage:
Do not make contact the base plate with non KAT Shoes or any other objects;
Make sure that the base plate is wiped clean ofany foreign matter before using the device every day. If necessary, you may drop the complimentary maintenance oil specially for the device
(only one drop is needed as the materials are special);
Make sure that there is no foreign matter on the sole sliders and wheels of KAT Shoes every time before using the device. Daily Maintenance of Head-Mounted Display if they are damaged. Please note the following when using the display:
The head-mounted display and handle sensors are highly sensitive, and thus, user experience will be severely aected Please properly store the head-mounted device and keep the lens away from direct sunlight when it is not being used. Otherwise, it might result in the damage of the display screen of the head-mounted device. Please use the cleaning cloth provided in the packing box to clean the lens. Dip the cloth in alcohol or lens detergent, and do the cleaning in circular motions from the center of the lens to the outer edge. When cleaning the face pad, please take it o from the head-mounted device rst. Dip a piece of soft cloth in cold water and gently clean the areas that need cleaning. Please do not dip or soak the pad in water; dry it under room temperature instead of rubbing, wringing or bleaching it; do not tumble dry, iron or expose it under direct sunlight. Instructions for regular examination of girdle When a customer weighs beyond the limit (>100kg) or is with an overly sized waist, please duly check if the girdle set has deformed. It is advised to conduct a regular examination on the girdle set every other week, mainly checking if the bolt at the connection on the back of the girdle set has loosened, if the washer at the bolt bottom has come o, and if the girdle set has deformed. Any problem of the girdle set may cause safety issues. As it is a component that is prone to wear and tear, the warranty period for it is three months from the issuance of the invoice. Please immediately contact the after sales service by dialing the KAT hotline if any of the above situations occur. Instructions for daily maintenance of three-in-one cable and sensors power supply cable It is necessary to carry out the daily maintenance of the three-in-one cable and the sensors power supply cable to prevent them from being damaged due to entanglement. Check if the three-in-one cable and the sensors power supply cable have any tangling every day by following the steps below:
Step one: entanglement of the three-in-one cable and the sensors power supply cable (tangling): based on the tangling direction, rotate the connecting rod in a reverse direction until the three-in-one cable is separated from the sensors power supply cable. Step two: twisting of the three-in-one cable (twisting, and marked wrinkles can be seen on the outside): take o the head-mounted display, and based on the twisting direction, rotate the display in a reverse direction until the cable returns to the smooth state with no twist. 9 Product Introduction KAT WALK Production Introduction KAT WALK is a VR multi-direction mobile platform, which is also called VR treadmill. It breaks the virtual and real-life space limit, enabling users in extremely small space in reality to carry out 360 boundless movements in the virtual world through the combination of dierent components including the VR head-mounted display like HTC Vive or Oculus Rift. Important IndicationsThose with * are optional accessories, which need to be purchased separately. 13 Product Introduction VR Head-Mounted Display Product Introduction Currently the whole set of KAT WALK is equipped with HTC Vive BE commercial head-mounted display, which includes a head-mounted display, two single hand held controllers and one locating system (Lighthouse) that can simultaneously track display and controller in the space. The controller locating system (Lighthouse) conrms the location of moving objects through laser and photosensitive sensor without having to depend on cameras. In other words, HTC Vive allows users to walk within a certain range and is able to simultaneously scan and locate multiple head-mounted displays and handles in its capture range, which is the biggest dierence between it and the other two head-mounted displays - Oculus Rift and PS VR. KAT WALK also supports such mainstream VR head-mounted displays as Oculus Rift. Please make sure to read in details the information provided in this manual prior to the installation of KAT WALK. As the product itself is very heavy, please arrange at least three male adults to do the installation. Keep the power o during installation and avoid potential safety hazards Please place a sponge pad of over 20cm thick (provided in the packing box) on the ground when installing the support pillar to protect the shell from being damaged. To avoid the inuence of electric current, please do not open the girder shell when the product is working. Even when there is no electricity, please do not open it by yourself as doing it without authorization will result in the warranty invalidated. Please do not put KAT WALK PREMIUM in a place where it is dusty, damp, shaky or with drastic temperature changes. Attention Please prepare at least one three-hole socket and four two-hole sockets as there are quite a few cable connections. Note that there must be sucient distance between sockets as the adapter is quite big. Preparation of Tools Open the complimentary KAT WALK special tool box, which contains:
one bottle of KAT WALK PREMIUM maintenance oil a set of inner hexagon spanners one hook spanner 68-72 one open spanner 22-24 one KAT SHOESwheel replacement tool one screw box 1 Starting Installation KAT WALK PREMIUM Installation KAT WALK DELUXE is quite heavy with a use height of 2.8 meters, and thus the indoor installation oor height should be at least three meters. Please strictly follow the steps to do the installation, and the steps are as follows:
Note All the bolt serial numbers in the picture are consistent with those in the bolt box. 1Place the base plate on an open oo, and use a spanner to x the base plate holder to prevent it from sliding. Procedures of Using Base Plate Holder There are two nuts on the upper and lower part of the base plate holder. The lower nut helps the holder to stretch out and draw back while the upper one helps to x it. Please make sure the two nuts are fastened when xing KAT WALK . 1Rotate the upper nut on the base plate holder in clockwise direction to move it down. 2Rotate the lower nut on the base plate holder in counter clockwise direction to move it up. Now the holder is drawing back and you may move KAT WALK . When it is necessary to x KAT WALK. 1Rotate the lower nut on the base plate holder in clockwise direction to move it down. 2Rotate the upper nut on the base plate holder in counter counterclockwise direction to move it up. Now the holder is stretching up and you may x KAT WALK. 2.First turn the metal hinges of the product base plate so that they face outward. 1 Starting Installation 3.Remove the two bolts on the support pillar. 4.At least two persons lift the support pillar and put it on the product base plate. Turn the hinges to buckle the external metal part of the pillar, and make the two holes in the hinges aligned with the holes of the two bolts removed as is stated in the last step. Tighten the bolts removed from the pillar. 5.Place a foam pad of at least 20cm thick under the support pillar. Slowly put the pillar down and make sure it is placed on the pad. .Insert the girder into the support pillar, make the anges t with each other,tighten the screws and shims at the connection of anges. 7.One person holds the support pillar while other two rotate the girder, making it rotate from a lying position to a 90-degree angle. Then place the bolts at the connection between the girder and the support pillar in the washer, and tighten them to nish the xing. 8.Insert the telescopic stick into the round hole at the front of the equipment, and slot the spring ?pallet and the spring into the stick; then screw the safety nut onto thestick and the M5 set screws (two) to the side of ?the stick; screw the round nut into the stick, and use the hook spanner to tighten it; nally slot the nylon nut into the upper end of the stick and tighten it . Always keep the ange on the end of the stick facing this direction The direction of the ange on the end of the telescopic stick The thick side of the ange The thin side of the ange telescopic stick 20 Starting Installation Attention The spring pallet must be installed upwards in a convex shape!
The fastening screw is in the side hole of the upper spring lid and make sure it is fastened tightly, or there will be a risk of toppling!
9.Unpack the HTC VIVE and separately take o the three-in-one data connecting cable for the head-mounted display;
push out the hatch cover of the display in a parallel way, unplug the three-in-one data connecting cable (HDMI, USB and DC cable) for the display and properly keep the earphone cable. 10.Put the HTC Vive three-in-one data connecting cable (the red line in the following picture) from the lower end of the telescopic stick through the stick until it reaches out of the upper end. Put the sticking cable through the white line channel of the girder (the blue area in the following picture) until it reaches out of the back end of the girder xed with the clamps on the end of the girder. 21 Starting Installation Attention A 90cm-long HTC VIVE three-in-one data connecting cable needs to be reserved at the lower end of the telescopic stick (see the mark in the picture) 11.Use the inner hexagon spanner to remove the M616 screw located in the area as shown in the picture; take out the support plate and one M645 screw. Fix the board onto the mechanical structure as shown in the picture. Take out the screw support plate Screw - M645 12.Unscrew the U-shape bolts (two) on the top protection cover, put the three-in-one cable into the slot of the U-shape bolts, and re-fasten the bolts onto the cover. 22 Starting Installation 13.Use screws to x the top protection cover onto the girder shell as shown in the picture. Fix the screw Attention Please note the direction of the protection cover when xing it. 14.The installation sta put the support pillar upright and at least one male adult should hold the pillar to prevent it from suddenly toppling, while the others install the xing bolts at the bottom 23 Starting Installation 15.Installation of the connecting rod. One person stands below the telescopic stick and pulls it to the lowest point, one aligns the holes in the connecting rod with those in the connecting panel of the stick, and another one installs the bolts and xes the rod. Screw-D 16.Install the equipment storage hook (the head-mounted display bracket) to x the head-mounted display. The bolts have already been xed on the back of the cushion of the connecting rod head; after unscrewing the bolts, install the hook at the cushion part of the connecting rod head. 24 Starting Installation 17.Insert the grounding cable on the back of the support pillar one M4 bolt and one M4 inner hexagon spanner.Fix the cable onto the pillar as shown in the picture and make sure the bolt is tightened. Screw M4 Terminal Back of the support pillar 18.Loosen the base plate holder and adjust the bottom of the holder to make it higher than the wheels; move KAT WALK to an appropriate location; re-x the base plate holder to prevent KAT WALK from sliding, and the installation is nished. Attention 1.The proper and stable installation of the support pillar structure serves as guarantee for usersgood experience. Therefore, please make sure the pillar structure is properly installed and that the installation is steady. 2.Avoid placing any objects on the base plate during the installation. Do not randomly step on the plate in case of any damage to it, which spoils users good experience. 3.After the installation, check if all the bolts and nuts are fastened. 4.Please switch o all the power supply when installing circuits. Make sure all the circuits are power o to avoid any potential danger. 5.As the three-in-one cable of the head-mounted display has limited length, please pay attention to the length of the remaining circuit when doing circuit connection on the girder. 6.Please dierentiate the connection conditions of dierent connections since there are comparatively quite a lot of them. 7.If the bolt holes are not completely concentric when installing bolts, you may slightly rotate the parts to make them concentric. 25 Starting Installation Installation of KAT WALK PREMIUM Shell We have equipped the product with KAT WALK PREMIUM shell for the purposes of aesthetics and protecting the mechanical engineering. The shell is made of ABS materials, and if you nd any damage to the shell upon receiving it, please timely contact KAT service center. Installation of Support Pillar Shell The support pillar shell is made up of the right section and the left one connecting with each other. It is divided into four pieces that are located on the upper, lower, right and left side, which are xed with screws. 1.First install the upper part of the shell and tighten it with screws. Two screws along the diagonal line have been installed on the girder, the remaining two screws along the other diagonal line needs to be installed at the connection part between the support pillar shell and the girder, while only one screw needs to be installed at the connection part between the shell and the sheet metal parts. The xing ange plate is to be placed between the shell and the sheet metal parts. Screw-E2 Place the wire inside the housing Fix the ange Screw-E1 2.After nishing the installation of the upper part, start to install the lower part of the shell. Please note that now only half piece of the shell is to be installed rst and only the connection between the shell parts needs to be installed with screws; there is no need to install screws at the screw holes on the lower end of the shell sides No need to x screw No need to x screw 26 Starting Installation 3.Now start to install the base plate shell, and rst please put the shell LED wires through the reserved cable hole at the lower half part of the support pillar When installing the base plate shell, put the shell LED wires through the reserved cable holes 4.Use the screw F to tighten the base plate shell and cover the base plate with the shell. tighten the base plate shell with screw-F 27 Starting Installation 5.After the base plate shell is installed, the remaining half-side support pillar shell needs to be installed back to the pillar. Please note that during the installation, the HTC VIVE three-in-one connecting cable and the grounding cable need to be put through the cable hole. The two LED wires on the bottom, the one LED wire on the top and the top sensor wire need to reach out of the shell at the lower end of the support pillar. The three LED wires are to be connected with the power supply of the logo light controller. cable hole Examination after installation of the mechanical structure Please note the following after the installation:
Check each screw hole and make sure all the screws or bolts are tightened;

Insert the adapter plug into an external power strip telescopic stick Power adapter Adapter Controller Connection of VR Head-Mounted Display and Base Station Install the base stations in diagonals in the surrounding space of the KAT WALK. To obtain the best tracking, the distance between two base stations cannot exceed ve meters, and they should be more than two meters above the ground with an inclination angle of 30~45 around downwards. 30 Starting Installation Pairing Sensor The KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor can only be used after being paired, and the two KATVR-Foot Sensor can only be used after being paired with the wireless receiver. Pairing of KATVR-Central and KATVR-Back Sensor The KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor are paired when the six-digit dialers are dialed to the same position. Similarly, dialing the dialers to dierent positions can prevent communication interference for the KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor between dierent equipment. Please note the positions of ON and the digits 1-6 as shown in t he gure, which are wrong:
Caution Within the same place, all the KATVR-Central dialing values should dier from each other, and so it is for the KATVR-Back Sensor dialing values. You may check the controllers' battery charge level while not running any program or upon opening the main control panel of the system. When the battery charge level is insucient, the indicator will display a red dot. Use the accessory power adapter and the USB data cable to charge each controller. The working sta must accompany the user upon entrance to ensure personal safety. 3.The sta help to fasten the girdle set. 4.The sta help user to wear the. 5.After wearing the head-mounted display, the sta can start the game on the KAT STATION, and the user can experience. Attention 1.As there are wheels at the rear of KAT SHOES, which is a special structure, and thus, the working sta have to be aside after the user puts on KAT SHOES in case of any slipping accident. 2.Please make sure the girdle is tightly fastened to ensure userssafety. 3.In order to ensure a perfect experience, a trial walking of 1~2 minutes is recommended before the formal experience. When you have already met the hard / software requirements for running VR games and KAT platforms. Please refer to the following process to deploy KAT entertainment platform. 42 Starting to Use Login the KAT Game Flat 1.Double click the KAT entertainment platform icon and type in the username and password to log into the platform. 2. Enter the platform page, where the left side shows the category of games and the QR code of the Company, and the user may choose the game based on his/her preference. The middle area displays all the KAT adaptable games under the selected category, with colored icons indicating that the game has been downloaded while the black-white icons indicating the the game has not been downloaded yet. The upper right part of the interface will show the account name and the remaining K coins, and please watch out for the remaining coins. The right side of the interface shows the popularity of the games. 43 Starting to Use 2. Select the game and click Enter details to view the introduction of the game for more details. If the game is not installed to the computer yet, please click Install on the right side of the interface to install the game. While downloading and installing games is free of charge, a certain number of K coins will be consumed when playing the game. If the game is already installed, the right side of the interface will display the button for setting up the game time and the button for starting the game. 6. Start the game. After selecting the game, enter the game and the right side of the interface will show the button for setting up the game time, which can be done by clicking + or -. Calibration: After installing the base station and the KAT WALK, click Calibration when turning them on for the rst time to conrm the orientations for the walking and the head-mounted display. Click Calibration again when moving the base station or the KAT WALK. Restore default: The software will preset the DZ and DM values. If you would like to restore to the factory settings after changing the two values, you may click Restore default and they will be restored to the factory settings. Settings: After changing the DZ value and the DM value, click Settings so that the changes take eect. Caution Please do not randomly change the DZ value and the DM value as they are preset before the delivery. 46 Starting to Use Calibration Settings 1. Place the HTC VIVE head-mounted display (Not included with this version, it needs to be purchased separately) above the girdle set, and make sure the orientations of the display front, the girdle opening and the KAT WALK are consistent. 2. Make sure the letters HTC on the head-mounted display is along the very middle of the girdle set (as shown in the picture), make it horizontal and start the softwarecalibration. 47 Starting to Use 3. You will need to re-calibrate when moving KAT WALK and the base station 50 Starting to Use Setting the Static Value 1.After the calibration, the static value needs to be set up for the user. 2.An user with a height of 150-190cm and a weight of no more than 100KG will need to wear the whole leg and girdle set rst, and then stands upright in the SPACE. Click the icon for static in the software and it will show successful setting of static; the value will be dened as the static value. Both the front and the back inclination values of the KATVR-Magnetic in the software will change accordingly. Click Setting and exit the interface. Attention As dierent people have dierent stances and dierent walking postures, the static value needs to be set up before each experiencer experiences the game. 51 Starting to Use Quitting the Game 1.Turing o during Click the Close button at the upper right corner of the page to turn o the game. Click Quit at the upper right corner of the page and it will prompt a box requesting you to conrm whether to quit the game. You may view the introduction of the game and the videos and texts for common operations in this page. 54 Help Center Click the drop-down box for the Introduction of the game and you will see the list for all the games on the platform. Choose a game and you will be able to view the basic introduction and the instructions of the game. Click the drop-down box for the Videos of Installation and Use and you will see the videos and texts for the installation and daily use. Select an operation and you will be able to view the corresponding video and text. 55 Dismantling and Replacement Dismantling and Replacement of KAT WALK PREMIUM Component For your safety Please make sure all the power is o prior to dismantling. Dismantling Shell 1.Remove the pedals and unscrew all the screws on the base plate shell; carefully dismantle the light source cable of the base plate to separate the shell. 2.Unscrew all the screws on the side and back of the lower part of the support pillar to separate the shell of that part. 3.Unscrew the screws on the side of the upper part of the support pillar. 4.Unscrew the screws on the metal sheet parts of the middle part of the support pillar to separate the metal sheet parts. Attention The shell is made up of special materials, and thus you may easily dismantle it by simply removing the screws. Please do not forcibly dismantle the shell to prevent it from being damaged. Dismantling Mechanical and Electrical Structure:
1.Open the hatch cover of the HTC head-mounted display; unplug the original cable (HDMI, USB and DC cable), and the earphone connecting cable may remain there; properly place the HTC head-mounted display. 2.Unplug the HDMI cable and the USB cable that connect the KAT WALK PREMIUM and the KAT STATION, and the DC cable that connects the KAT WALK PREMIUM and the power socket. 3.Turn the base plate holder to move the KAT WALK PREMIUM to a at and open eld. 4.Unscrew the installing screws on the installing plate of the connecting rod to dismantle the rod. 5.Dismantle the base plate and the support pillar shell one by one for the KAT WALK PREMIUM. 6.Turn the fastening screws on the bottom of the support pillar, and make sure one person holds the pillar on its back to prevent it from suddenly toppling. 7.Put the pillar down backwards so that it lies at down on the ground; a foam pad of over 20cm thick should be placed under the pillar in advance. 8.Dismantle the girder casing cover and turn the screw at the connection between the cover and the girder to take it o. 9.Hold the three-in-one data cable in the HTC head-mounted display on the telescopic stick, pull the cable out of the girder and take out the part of the data cable in the telescopic stick and the three-in-one data cable in the head-mounted display. 10.Remove the fastening screws on the ange between the support pillar and the girder, and turn the girder to make it parallel with the ground. 11.Turn the ange between the support pillar and the girder to separate them. 12.Put the support pillar upright, unscrew the fastening screws on the hinges at the connection between the support pillar and the base plate, turn the hinges, and separate the pillar from the base plate with at least two persons holding up the pillar. 56 Dismantling and Replacement Attention 1.Make sure all the power is o and that all the power connections are cut o prior to the dismantling. 2.As the device is very heavy, it requires at least three male adults to do the dismantling. 3.Please do follow the above procedures to do the dismantling for safety purposes. 4.Please properly keep all the items dismantled, including screws, cotter pins, etc. 5.As the internal wires are fragile, please do not forcibly dismantle. Dismantling and Replacement of KAT STATION Control Center Components KAT STATION is a customized control center for the KAT WALK PREMIUM. To make sure the KAT STATION works properly, please do not randomly open the cabinet or replace the internal components. Please contact KAT service center if there is any problem during the use of the product. Please contact KAT service center before component dismantling in case the warranty for your KAT STATION is aected. KAT SHOES Replacement Instructions You are advised to replace it when the wheel at the rear of the KAT SHOES sole is loose or cannot roll properly You are advised to replace it when the slider on the KAT SHOES sole is seriously abraded. As the rst slider is more prone to abrasion than the second one, you may also swap the two rst before the replacement. You are advised to replace KAT SHOES when the shoe surface is abraded. Procedures of Replacing Sliders The sliders and the wheels are of embedded design, and when replacing them 1.Hold the two ends of KAT SHOES to turn the sole outward while squeezing the SHOES inward. 57 Dismantling and Replacement 2.As the groove that holds the sole slider expands, the old slider can be easily taken o 3. Take o the old slider and use the same method to embed a 4.Relax KAT SHOES and the sole groove will return to normal; then the new slider automatically ts into the groove and the replacement is done.new one 58 Dismantling and Replacement Procedures of Replacing Wheels 1.Turn the sole of KAT SHOES up 2.Use the accessory wheel replacement tools to pry the wheel 3.Take out the old wheel and replace with a new one to nish the replacement Caution 1.As the wheel replacement tools are quite sharp, please do not use too much force when replacing the wheels to ensure the safety of related personnel and the completeness of the groove. 2. Except for your hands, please keep your other body parts a certain distance from the wheel replacement tools when doing the replacement. Complete the block replacement. 61 FAQ Unable to Walk or Walk Slowly in the Game Cause: The DLL les are not installed Solution Choose settings ->add dlls of the game platform login screen.On the pop up window, double click the bat le to install dlls. Cause: Incorrect connection of KATVR-Foot Sensor Solution: If the working indicator on the KATVR-Foot Sensor is red, check if its six-digit dialer value is consistent with that of the wireless receiver. If not, switch o the foot sensor, re-dial it, then switch on. Cause: Inconsistent dialing values of the two KATVR-Foot Sensors Solution: Turn o the two KATVR-Foot Sensors, and make the values of the two KATVR-Foot Sensors consistent with that of the wireless receiver. Cause: KATVR-Foot Sensor error Solution: If the re-dial does not work, then there is an error with the KATVR-Foot Sensor which may need to be replaced with a new one. Cause: The static value is not set; improper operations in the settings of the static value Solution: Re-set the static value by following the steps on page 47 of the User Manual. Make sure the player stands upright on the KAT WALK when setting up the static value. If the player is thin, ask him to slightly lean back. Cause: The player did not stand upright on the KAT WALK as instructed in the settings of the static value Solution: Re-set the static value by following the steps on page 47 of the User Manual. Make sure the player stands upright on the KAT WALK when setting up the static value. If the player is skinny, ask him to slightly lean back. Cause: Inconsistent values of the KATVR-Central and the KATVR-Back Sensor or multiple equipment with the same dialing value in the same place Solution: Check if the dialing value of the KATVR-Central is consistent with that of the KATVR-Back Sensor. Make them consistent if not and note the position of the ON on the dialer when dialing it.
