Enjoy new freedom This Quick Start Guide will help you set up and activate Libris. Please read this entire guide before using Libris to ensure it is set up correctly and ready for use. Whats in the Box CONTENTS Step 1:
Activate Libris 1. Insert the Power Cord into the Charger. Plug the large end of the Power Cord into a standard wall outlet. 2. Place Libris in the Charger. 3. Libris will automatically turn on and begin activation. 4. Follow the voice prompts until directed to connect to your response team. Step 2:
Call to Set Up 1. Press and hold the Call Button. 2. Your response team will answer shortly to customize Libris and complete set up. 3. After the call, charge Libris in the Charger for 4 hours. Then it is ready for use. IMPORTANT:

Adding Pendants The Libris Charger can be programmed to recognize optional Pendant Calling Devices. To add a Pendant Calling Device:
1. Be sure the Libris is in the Charger and the Charger is powered on. 2. Press and release the Program button on the rear of the Charger. The Program indicator will light amber. 3. Within 20 seconds, activate a Pendant Calling Device. 4. The Program indicator should light green when the Pendant is recognized. 5. Repeat steps for additional Pendants. 1 4 3 2 Step 4:
Testing Pendants If optional Pendant Calling Devices are added, they must be tested. To test Pendant Calling Devices:
1. Be sure the Libris is in the Charger and the Charger is powered on. 2. Activate a Pendant Calling Device by pressing the button on the Pendant. 3. Your response team will answer shortly to verify your testing. IMPORTANT:
Pendant Calling Devices can only place an emergency call if the Libris is resting in the Charger and the Charger Power Cord is plugged into AC power. Pendant Calling Devices do not have a speaker or microphone, talk to the response team through the Libris unit. Step 5:
Wearing Libris Libris can be worn on a belt using the Belt Clip, or as a pendant around your neck using the Lanyard/Clip. If worn with the Lanyard, Libris should be worn under clothing to prevent excess movement of the device. To attach the Belt Clip or Lanyard/Clip:
1. Align the notched side of Clip with the notched area on the back. 2. Press inward until the Clip notches are nested within the Libris notches. 3. Firmly push the Clip toward the top of Libris. It is secure when you hear a click or you can no longer see the notches on the Clip.
