User Manual Model:NT-TPC7 1 Introduction 1.1 Package content Tablet PC Power Adapter Micro USB Cable OTG Cable Instruction Manual 1.2 Getting started Before operating your Tablet PC for the first time, please read this manual carefully and follow the instructions as below. The instructions and screenshots shown in this manual refer to a generic Android 5.x system and may slightly differ from those of the system installed on your product. 1.3 Battery charging The tablet is equipped with a built-in rechargeable Lithium battery. It is suggested to fully charge the battery before use. To charge the proceed as follows:
1. Connect the micro USB cable to the AC power adapter. 2. Plug the AC power adapter to a power outlet. 3. Connect the micro USB cable to your tablet. Important We strongly recommend to use only the power adapter and micro USB cable included in the packaging, using other adapter or cable may damage the tablet and void the warranty. You can use the tablet while charging. 2 2 Appearance and buttons 3 Use this port to recharge the tablet. Connect to PC for file transfer or connection with external USB devices. Speaker Turn ON/OFF Tablet 8. 9. 3 Turn the tablet On After the battery has been fully charged, press and hold the power button for around 3 seconds to turn on the device. Screen lock will be showed after starting up. Turn the tablet Off When the tablet is ON, press and hold the power button for around 3 seconds and the system will popup out power off option, tap on Power off to turn the tablet off. Remarks:
When battery is fully discharged, the tablet will shut down itself automatically. If you turn off the device improperly, at restart the system will scan and restore the disk, and it may take longer time to enter into system. 4 4 Starting for the first time When you turn your Tablet on for the first time, Setup Wizard will guide you through the setup process. Select your language and follow the onscreen instructions to configure Wi-Fi network, account, etc. If you have backup of another Android device on your Google account, you can use it to restore data and system settings on the new device. 5 5 Locking and Unlocking the Tablet Locking the tablet (Stand-by) To lock the tablet, quickly press power button and release. In this way the tablet is locked and the display is turned off. Wake up your tablet and unlock the screen To wake up the tablet from stand-by and turn on display do as follows. 1. Press and release the power button. 2. Slide the lock icon upward to unlock the screen and go to maininterface. Interface operation 6 After starting up, you will enter into below main screen interface also know as Home screen. Through the Home screen, you can view information about the device status, access the settings and use the App (software applications). You can customize the main screen by changing the arrangement of app icons, adding new apps or deleting the unused one. Status bar The status bar is located on the top of the screen. On the left side are shown the notifications for apps, updates and the progress of downloads. On the right side are displayed the icons related to Wi-Fi and mobile network signal, Bluetooth interface, battery power level and time. Quick settings To immediately open your Quick settings window, swipe down from the top of your screen using two fingers. The "Quick settings" screen allows you to quickly access frequently used settings, such as the Bluetooth activation. To change a setting, simply tap on its icon. From this screen you can also access the full screen of the device settings by tapping the gear icon in the upper right shown in the picture. Navigation buttons In the bottom of the screen it is always visible the navigation bar with the three navigation buttons and the volume control buttons. The operation of the three buttons is described in the following table. Back button It goes back to the previous screen. Home button Press the Home button to return to the main screen from any window. Recent apps Opens a list of thumbnail of apps youve worked with recently. To open an app, tap on its thumbnail. To remove an app from the list, tap on the X on the top right of the thumbnail or swipe it left or right. Favorites tray At the bottom of the screen you can also find the favorites tray. It is another quick way to get to your apps. At the center of the favorites tray you can find the All Apps icon, touch it to open the screen that shows all the apps installed on the device. To drag an app in or out of the favorites tray, touch & hold it, then move it with your finger into position. Note: In some devices the favorites tray can be arranged vertically on the right side of the screen when the display is oriented horizontally. 7 Organize the Home screen The home screen can be customized by adding icons of favorite apps and widgets, the small dynamic applications that allow you to quickly view information such as weather forecast, calendar events or the latest news. To add an app icon to a Home screen 1. Touch the All Apps icon. 2. Touch & hold the app until the Home screen appears, then slide it into place and lift your finger. To remove an app icon from the Home screen Touch & hold the app you want to remove, then slide it over the X symbol on the top left of the screen and lift your finger. Add a widget to the Home screen 1. Touch the All Apps icon then touch on the Widgets tab on the top left of the screen to view the list of available widgets. 2. Touch & hold the thumbnail of the desired widget then drag it into an available area of the Home screen. 8 Change the background image 1. Touch & hold the background of the screen for a few seconds until the below screen appears. 2. Touch Wallpapers item to view the available background images. 3. Touch the thumbnail of the desired image and then touch Setwallpaper item on the top left of the screen to apply the new wallpaper.Connecting to a Computer You can use the USB cable provided to connect the tablet to a computer and transfer files. To connect the tablet to your computer, proceed as follows. 1. Connect the micro USB cable to your tablet then plug it into a free USB port on your computer. a multimedia device. 2. The tablet is automatically recognized by the computer and connected as By sliding down the status bar to expand the notification area, you can access the USB connection options to change the connection mode to the computer. The different options of connecting to computers are available in the USB computer connection" window shown below. 9 Settings Touch the Settings icon to open the window that contains all of the device settings. The settings screen is organized into four sections, each containing settings related to similar topics. To open the setting that you want to change, simply tap on the corresponding item in the list. 9.1 WIRELESS & NETWORKS l Wi-Fi The Wi-Fi window allows you to enable and disable the wireless interface and shows a list of all available Wi-Fi networks. Tap on the name of your Wi-Fi network to connect. If the Wi-Fi network does not require a password, tap Connect to start the connection. If the Wi-Fi network requires a password, then input the password and tap Connect to establish the connection. If the connection to the Wi-Fi network is completed successfully, the connection information is saved in order to connect automatically whenever necessary. When the tablet is connected to the wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon appears on the status bar at the top right of the screen. l Bluetooth Select this option to turn on/off Bluetooth function. The tablet will automatically scan all available Bluetooth devices and list them. l Data usage Select this setting to view information about data usage. This section displays a graph of total data usage and data usage information for each app. l More Enter this screen to turn on/off airplane mode, setup tethering/hotspot function and VPN connection. 9.2 DEVICE l Manage display settings such as brightness, background wallpaper, sleep time, font size and content auto-rotation. Display Sound & notification l Use this screen to manage settings of volume, vibrate and apps notifications. You can also check or uncheck the options for dial pad touch tones, touch sounds, screen lock sound and vibrate on touch. Storage l This section displays information about internal storage, Micro SD card or external USB devices connected to the tablet. NB: The actual storage space available to the user is less than the total internal storage because the operating system and default applications take a portion of the internal memory l Battery Access this setting to know the battery usage information. L Apps Allow you to manage the applications installed on the device. Tap on the app icon to view detailed information of the application such as used storage, permissions and so on. From the App info screen you can also remove the app from the tablet by tapping on the Uninstall button. l Users You can use this section to manage users settings. 9.3 PERSONAL Location l In this section you can enable the location service and its operation mode. Security l Use this section to manage settings for security options such as screen lock, encryption, SIM card lock, passwords visibility and so on. l Accounts It allows you to configure and manage accounts. Tap the name of the account to view account details or tap Add account to enter a new account. Language & input l Change settings for language, spell checker, personal dictionary, keyboard, text-to-speech output, voice control and pointer speed. Backup & reset l Option of for backup & restore, erase personal data. Warning: once you perform the Factory data reset, it will erase all personal data in tablet, make sure to back up your personal data before performing this function. 9.4 SYSTEM l Date & time You can use network-provided time and time zone, or you can manually setup date, time, select time zone and also select 24 hour time format. Accessibility l This section is useful for users with impaired hearing and low vision. Accessibility options allow you to increase the size and contrast of the text, the pronunciation of the password, manage the options of text-to-speech output and much more. Printing l Android allows you to print the contents of some screens (such as web pages) with a printer connected to the same Wi-Fi network of the tablet. In order to use this function, you still need to install a printing service that is normally provided by the printer manufacturer. To check the services available touch "Add service" from the option menu on the top right of the window. l About tablet Displays additional information about the tablet. 10 AppsInstallation You can download the Apps from online markets and install them online, or you can install the Apps from your Micro SD card or USB devices. Just tap on the App and run the installation, you can finish the installation and run that App right away. 11 Introductions of TypicalApplications The following pages describe some applications commonly installed on devices with Android operating system. The App installed in your device, the version and features may differ from those shown here and change without notice. l Browser After connecting your tablet to Wi-Fi network, tap the Browser icon in the favorites tray on the screen to open the web browser and start Internet surfing. The menu icon located at the right top corner of the browser screen allows you to access different options among which:
Refresh: to refresh the current page. Stop: stop the loading of the page. Close: close the current page. Request desktop site: in the case of web site optimized for mobile devices asks the server to send the version for desktop computers. New tab: to open up new tab of web browser. Settings: open the settings page of the browser. l l l Calculator The tablet includes a built-in calculator, tap on the Calculator icon to carry out your calculations. Calendar Users can use the Calendar app to check date, time and memorandum or add memorandum etc. But before doing this, you have to sign in the Google Account. Camera Tap on the Camera icon to run the application. The camera is located at the top right angle of tablet, aim at it when you take photo or video. Tap on the camera icon to take photo or on the camcorder icon to record a movie. To switch from camera to video shooting, slide your finger to the inside of the screen on the left and then select the desired function. In this screen, the gear icon that appears at the top right allows access to the settings window. Photos and videos will be saved automatically into DCIM > Camera folder of internal storage. To view the saved pictures and videos, use the Gallery. This application also allows you to organize your images and make small editing operations like clippings and effects. l l Clock Tap on the Clock icon to run the application. After running the clock application, you can setup alarm, use it as a timer or also as stopwatch. Email Tap on Email icon in the All Apps screen to setup your email account according to the procedures. You can enter one or more personal email addresses which you would like to access through the tablet. l File Manager/Explorer Tap on ES File Explorer icon to browse the files saved in the internal storage, on the micro SD card or external USB memory. Tap & hold a file for few seconds to select it (the item become highlighted), then use the menu on the bottom for Copy, Paste, Delete etc. actions. l l Gallery Tap on the Gallery icon to browse for image or videos files. This application collects all images and video files stored in your device. Sound Recorder To start the sound recorder, open the All Apps screen and tap on the Sound Recorder icon. Tap on the circle icon to start recording. Tap on the white square icon to stop recording. Once you stopped the recording, system will prompt: Discard and Done. Tap on Discard to discard the recording; tap on Done to save the recording. 12 Forced shutdown In case of your tablet was down and you are unable to turn it off according to standard procedures, press the power switch and hold it for 7 seconds, the tablet will be turned off. Using the Reset button In case your tablet interface was freezed, you can reset it using the Reset button located on the side of the tablet next to the volume control. Use a small clip or pin to trigger the reset button, the tablet will be turned off once you trigger the reset button. 13 Factory Reset To restore the tablet to original factory settings and erase all personal information, tap on Settings Backup & reset Factory data reset. Warning: After resetting the device, Google account, data, system settings, and downloaded applications will be removed from your tablet. 14 Battery Management The battery is not fully charged from factory, so it is recommended that you charge the battery for at least 6 hours before you start to use thedevice. The rechargeable battery is designed and manufactured to be used and recharged frequently. As same with all of lithium batteries, the capacity of the battery reduces each time it is charged. However, you can still try to prolong the batterys lifetime by following the suggestions below:
Use your Tablet at least once a week. Fully charge the battery regularly. Never leave the battery fully discharged for a long period of time. Always keep the device and the battery away from heat and moisture. Battery charging Plug the power adapter into an electrical wall outlet and then connect to the device to fully charge the battery before use. When fully charged, the battery icon appears completely full. A fully discharged battery will take you approximately 6 hours, but you can use the device while it is being charged. Do not use other adapters than the one provided in your packaging, it may cause damage to the Lithium battery inside. Do not attempt to open the tablet to replace the battery inside, this will damage the tablet and void the warranty. 15 Important Safety Precautions Always follow these basic safety precautions when using your Tablet. This reduces the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. Do not expose this product to rain or moisture. Keep the device out of direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not place other objects on LCD screen, as it may crush and damage the LCD screen. Do not use any sharp objects to touch the LCD screen, as this will scratch the screen. Only use the AC adapter included with the device. Using any other power adapters will damage your tablet and void the warranty. Do not attempt to dismantle the tablet by yourself to do any repair, this will damage the tablet and void the warranty. FCC Caution. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Any Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirement. The device can be used in portable exposure condition without restriction.
