Download the Orpyx LogR application from the App Store on your Apple device (iPhone 4S or newer, iPod 5th generation or newer, iPad 3rd generation or newer or iPad mini). To find the app, enter Orpyx into the search bar. 2. Ensure that all shoe pods are charged. A completely charged shoe pod is indicated by a solid green light displayed in the shoe pod. Charging is indicated by a flashing red light. 3. Fit the inserts into the shoes, following the fitting instruction guide. 4. Connect your Orpyx LogR system (see below). Connecting for the first time When you open the Orpyx LogR app for the first time, you will be prompted to setup your device. Select the appropriate right and left shoe pods (by shoe pod number, labeled on the shoe pod) and press CONNECT. You will be taken to the foot map screen and will see both feet connected. Green circles displayed at each sensor position indicate connection and the shoe pods will flash green lights twice per second. Subsequent Connections For subsequent connections, the Orpyx LogR app will attempt to automatically connect to previously paired shoe pods. To change the shoe pod(s) that are connected to the Orpyx LogR app:
1. Swipe left to get to the Settings page 2. Press Setup Devices 3. Select the appropriate right and left shoe pods (identified by the unique shoe pod number) by tapping on the right or left foot shown on the app screen 4. Once the shoe pods are selected, press CONNECT in the top left corner 5. Swipe right to the foot map screen. When the shoe pods have connected, you will see green circles appear at the positions of the pressure sensors, and the shoe pods will flash a green light twice per second. Starting a logging session To collect data with the Orpyx LogR system, you will need to start a new logging session:
1. On the foot map screen, press New Session 2. An activity information page will pop up where you will be required to enter the activity and description for the data session. To enter an activity, select from the activity options, or enter a new activity in other 3. Once you have entered activity information, press Start. This will return you to the foot map screen, where you will now see a Stop and Pause button beneath the feet. 4. To stop a logging session, press the Stop button on the foot map screen. Viewing data on the Orpyx LogR Cloud To view your data, you will need to go to the Orpyx LogR Cloud (www.logr.orpyx.com) and log in with your account credentials. Once you are logged in, you will be directed to the Data Download page. 1. Select a logging session by pressing on the session so that it is highlighted 2. You will be able to download the session data in either pressure (psi) or raw measurements. Select either Create pressure CSV or Create ADC csv buttons above the data table 3. A zipped file will start to download 4. Open the zipped file you will see a separate csv file for each foot Using the Orpyx LogR App FOOT MAP PAGE The foot map page displays the real-time plantar pressure that is occurring under foot. The foot map page will vary in display depending on the shoe pod condition (not connected blank foot map, connected green pressure circles with new session button below feet, logging green pressure circles showing and stop/pause buttons below foot map) SETTINGS PAGE You can swipe left from the foot map page to access the settings page. The settings page allows you to adjust the app settings, connect to shoe pods, and manage log files. SENSOR READINGS PAGE You can swipe right from the foot map page to access the sensor readings page. The sensor readings page shows real-time raw measurement values for each of the sensors on the right and left inserts. A: Shoe pods can take up to 60 seconds to connect. If shoe pod(s) do not connect after 60 seconds, navigate to the Settings page and go into Setup Devices to ensure that you are connected to the correct right and left shoe pods. If the shoe pod(s) are still not connecting, go back into Setup Devices and deselect all shoe pods, then press CONNECT. Go back into Setup Devices and select the appropriate right and left shoe pods. If shoe pod(s) still do not connect, turn the iOS device Bluetooth off and then back on. Q: What if I cannot find my data session on Orpyx LogR Cloud?
A: Check to see if the data log files have been uploaded to the LogR Cloud by navigating to the Settings page, and pressing Manage Log Files. If there are files present on the device, they will be shown here. If there are log files on the device, check to make sure that the Wi-Fi is turned on and connected. Press the Sync Log Files Now button on the Settings page to attempt log file uploads. Check Manage Log Files again to see if log files are disappearing from the list.
