PL-6453 Bluetooth Headset User Manual Thank you for purchasing the Bluetooth Headset PL-6453, we hope you will enjoy all its benefits. Please read this user's guide to get start, and to make the best usage of the headset's many features. CAUTION:
The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized modification to this equipment. Such modifications could void the user authority to operate equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

Driving safety 1. Keeping your eyes on the road, driving is your foremost responsibility. 2. Obey traffic laws at all times: Make sure that using a Bluetooth wireless headset while driving is permitted by your local law. BEFORE USING YOUR HEADSET Checking phone compatibility Ensure that your phone has Bluetooth capability by visiting your phone manufacturer's website. Your headset overview K1 Button: Turn on/ Turn off/ Pairing/ Answer/ End/ Voice Dial/ Reject/ Transferring a call/ Redial K2 Button: Increase Volume K3 Button: Decrease Volume Checking the accessories Make sure that you have the following items with your headset: USB Charging cable, Manual, Ear-hook. Charging the headset Your headset uses a rechargeable battery. You must charge the battery fully before using the headset for the first time. 1. Plug the USB Charging cable into an USB socket of PC. 2. Connect the USB Charging cable with headset as it shown on the picture. The red indicator of headset will turn on when charging. 3. When the battery is fully charged, the red indicator will change to blue. 1) When the headset is in low battery, the headset will flash red instead of blue. 2) The headset will be fully charged in approximately 1-2 hours. 3) Remove the USB Charging cable from the USB socket. WARNING: Do not attempt to charge the headset with anything other than the USB Charging Cable provided. Using unauthorized USB Charging Cable may damage the headset. IMPORTANT: The headset cannot be used while charging. BASIC OPERATIONS 2 Turning the headset on/off 1. To turn the headset on Press and hold K1 Button for about 3 seconds, the blue indicator of the headset will flash 3 times rapidly. The headset is now turned on. 2. To turn the headset off Press and hold K1 Button for about 3 seconds, the red indicator of the headset will flash red 5 times rapidly. The headset will be turned off. 3. When the blue indicator flashes red during standby mode, it means the headset is on low battery, please charge the headset. Pairing Before using your headset for the first time, you must pair it with your Bluetooth enabled phone. 1. Ensure that the headset is off (see To turn the headset off section).And the mobile phone Bluetooth setting is activated. 2. Press and hold the K1 Button for about 4 seconds until the indicator light alternately flashes blue and redyou headset is under pairing mode. Your PL-6453 Bluetooth headset adopts Proximity Pairing Technology to simplify the Bluetooth setup process. For more details, please kindly check (Xa) item. 3(a) Once your headset is under pairing mode, it will search the nearest Bluetooth devices, like your Bluetooth mobile phone automatically. 4(a) Your Bluetooth mobile phone will indicate PL-6453 headset and ask if you want to pair with it. Confirm this by pressing the Yes or OK key. 5(a) Enter a passkey or PIN code 0000 (4 zeros), then press the Yes or OK key. Once the blue indicator flashes twice instead of blue and read indicator flashing, your headset has been connected with your Bluetooth mobile phone. Note: If the Bluetooth version of your Bluetooth mobile phone is V2.1, you will not need to enter a Passkey (Pin code) during above pairing process. You can also pair our PL-6453 headset with your Bluetooth mobile phone in the normal way, for more details please kindly check (Xb) item:
3 3(b). Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the headset by following your phone's guide. Typically, the steps involve going to a Setup, 'Connect', or Bluetooth menu on your phone and then selecting the option to discover Bluetooth devices. 4(b). Your phone will find the PL-6453 headset and ask if you want to pair with it. Confirm this by pressing the Yes or OK key. 5(b). Enter a passkey or PIN code 0000 (4 zeros), then press the Yes or OK key. Once the blue indicator flashes twice instead of blue and read indicator flashing, your headset has been connected with your Bluetooth mobile phone. Pairing Your Headset with Two Mobile Phones ( Multipoint connecting) PL-6453 supports a Multipoint function to allow simultaneous pairing of the headset with two mobile phones. 1. Follow the pairing procedure as instructed in Pairing section to pair the headset with the first mobile phone. 2. Turn off the headset. 3. Repeat the same pairing procedure on the second mobile phone. 4. On the first mobile phones menu, activate its Bluetooth connection with the headset. Wearing the headset Wear the headset on your ear. In general, you will get better performance when there are no obstructions (including parts of your body) between the headset and the phone. Depending on which ear you are going to wear the headset, simply adjust the ear-hook accordingly. Making a call Using the phones keypad 1. Dial number on the keypad or select the contact name from the contact list of your mobile phone. 2. Press phones send/call key. Voice Dialing Please ensure your mobile phone supports voice dialing function and the voice tag assigned for this feature. 1. Short press K1 Button once. 2. Youll then hear the voice-activation tone, say the name of the person you wish to call. 3. Shortly press K1 Button to stop the voice dialing. Note: 1.For the mobile phone which dont support voice dialing function, shortly press the K1 4 button once will redial the last number;
2. Depend on your phone type, the actual operation may vary. Ending a call 1. Shortly press K1 Button once during a call. 2. End a call from phones keypad. Answering a call 1. Press the K1 button briefly, when you receiving an incoming call. 2. Answer the call via your phones keypad. You may then need to transfer the call to the headset by pressing the K1 Button for 2 seconds (depending on your phone setting). Last number redialing Press K1 button for twice rapidly to make the last number redial. Connected with two mobile phones: Shortly press K1 Button twice to make the last number redial. This feature will be available on only one mobile phone which it first connected with the headset. Note: Depend on your phone type, the actual operation may vary. Rejecting an incoming call Press and hold K1 Button for 2 seconds to reject a call. Adjusting the volume Press K2 Button to increase the volume level and press K3 Button to decrease the volume level. Transferring a call Headset to phone: Press and hold K1 Button for 2 seconds Phone to Headset: Press and hold K1 Button for 2 seconds Note: For different mobile phone setting, you could only transfer a call by press the mobile phones keypad. Depend on your phone type, the actual operation may vary. Muting the Microphone You can put a call on hold by muting the microphone. To turn off the Muting Microphone: Press the K2 Button & K3 Button at the same time. Simultaneously, you will hear 1 mute. 5 To turn on the Muting Microphone: Press and hold the K2 Button & K3 Button at the same time. Simultaneously, you will hear 1 mute. Storage of the headset 1. Always store the headset with the power off and make sure it is safely protected. 2. Avoid storage at high temperatures (above 60) such as in a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight.
(Storage at high temperatures can damage performance and reduces battery life). 3. Do not expose the headset or any of its supplied parts to rain or other liquids.
