Please review this manual thoroughly before operating your device. Operation Guide Power on/off Short press the Power/Set button to turn on the device. Long press the Power/Set button to shut down. Connect the probe to the device Plug the connector of the probe into the probe jack off the device. And the screen will display the current temperature of the probe. Switch the measurement unit You can use the App to switch the temperature unit(C/F). Notes:
1. When the measured temperature reaches the alert value you set, the temperature alarm will start beeping and the value display will keep flashing. Press button one the device to stop the beeping. 2. The temperature alarm is on by default. You can turn off the temperature alarm by APP. Using App App Installation You can use the device with Newxton BBQ APP, please download it from the APP store or Google Play store. You can scan the QR code here: (Or search for "Newxton BBQ") Android iPhone Pair the Device with Your Phone Press the Power/Set button to turn on the device. Enable the Bluetooth of your smartphone. Turn on the Newxton BBQ App on your phone. Follow the App prompts to pair devices. Notes:
When the device has a pairing record with the app, turn on the device and open the app on the phone, the device will reconnect to your phone. If you still fail to pair the device with your phone, please kill the App process and reopen the App for pairing. And disconnect the Bluetooth connection between the mobile phone and other devices. The App is only compatible with smartphones (Android or iPhone), not tablets or PCs. Using Tips Before using the device, clean the probe with a soapy sponge or cloth, the rinse and dry it. Always take your reading in the thickest part of the meat. Thin parts of the meat are difficult to measure because they tend to cook fast. Avoid touching the bone. If the tip touches the bone or heavy fat of the meat or the probe tip is not inserted deep enough, take a second reading to ensure accuracy. When measuring different foods or meats, it may be desirable to cool the probe first by rinsing the tip with cold water. It is recommended that you wipe the probe tip between readings. This is especially important when taking temperature readings form different foods or meat. After using the device, turn it off to reduce unnecessary power consumption. Warnings Do not put the device in the oven while cooking.
