Circuitswitched(dialup)data,usingtheearlierCDMA IS95specification,supportsdataconnectionstoanydial inserviceatratesupto14.4 Kbps.
QNC (QuickNetConnect)providesasimplifiedwayto dialintoanInternetconnection(usingcircuitswitched data)where3G(1xEVDOor1X)highspeedpacket serviceisnotavailable. SMS (ShortMessageService)allowsyoutosendand receiveshorttextmessagesusingtheCompassUSB modem.
