Please check if Interruptions/Do not disturb mode is activated on your device. If it is activated you can see a Star symbol icon (for Android OS 6.X version) displayed on notification panel. In this case you need deactivate Interruptions/Do not disturb mode. To do it just press volume up or down key and select All (on Android 5.X) or modify it in Settings > Sound & notifications
