Red when battery polarity is reversed. Reset Button There are two methods to reset the SMSP40 to factory defaults:

Runtime reset (recommended) The SMSP40 should be running after bootup is complete. Press the Reset button and the LED will turn off as the SMSP40 reboots. Factory reset Press and hold the Reset button for eight seconds to restore factory default settings to the SMSP40. Battery Terminal Fourpin terminal block for NTC and battery Power Terminal Twopin terminal block for power (24VDC out) Supports 10/100 Fast Ethernet connections and passive 24V, 2pair PoE output. Steady green when power is enabled. Ethernet Ports Output LED Hardware Installation Pole Mounting 1. Open the Metal Strap and feed it through the mounting slots on the back of the SolarPoint. 2. Wrap the Metal Strap around the pole. Use a 7 mm socket wrench to turn the screw clockwise and securely fasten the strap to the pole. Opening the Port Cover 1. Press down and slide the port cover forward. 2. Lift the port cover up. 3. Remove the fourpin connector from the terminal block using the special tool attached to the underside of the port cover. 4. Place a crimp connector on one end of the wire. 5. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to crimp the connector onto the end of the wire. 6. Insert the crimped wire into one of the open slots on the fourpin connector. Using a phillips screwdriver, secure the wire to the connector by tightening the screw until it stops. 7. Repeat steps four through six until the connector is fully occupied with all four wires. 8. Attach the NTC and battery cable. Connecting Ethernet 1. Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet ports. Note: PoE is disabled by default. 2. When you are finished, close the port cover.
