Type accepted as an emergency locator transmitter (ELT) as defined by Section 87.5 of the FCC Rules and Regulations. This unit meets the modulation requirements of Sections 87.141(g) and (i). Type acceptance is limited to use when authorized under Part 87 as an ELT or as equipment in survival craft stations or otherwise used for survival purposes under Part 87. (See Section 87.187(k).) No determination has been made by the FCC as to the capability of this equipment to meet other than FCC requirements.
