Does not have capability for readily reducing carrier power to 1 watt or less. (See Part 83, Section 83.134(f)). Has capability for less than 3 channels and therefore must be used with additional transmit-ters in ship stations under Part 83 to make up the required frequency complement. Not acceptable for initial installation in ship stations after January 1, 1970.
