This guide introduces your system's functions and explains how to use them. 1 Safety warnings For safety, follow the instructions below. Failure to do so may increase the risk of a traffic accident, which may result in death or personal injury. About driving Do not operate the system while driving. Driving while distracted may result in a loss of vehicle control, potentially leading to an accident, severe personal injury, or death. The drivers primary responsibility is the safe and legal operation of a vehicle, and any handheld devices, equipment, or vehicle systems which divert the drivers attention from this responsibility should never be used during operation of the vehicle. Avoid watching the screen while driving. Driving while distracted may lead to a traffic accident. Stop your vehicle in a safe location before using functions that require multiple operations. Stop your vehicle first before using your mobile phone. Using a mobile phone while driving may lead to a traffic accident. Keep the volume low enough to hear external sounds. Driving without the ability to hear external sounds may lead to a traffic accident. Listening to a loud volume for a long time may cause hearing damage. Doing so may result in an accident, fire, or electric shock. Do not allow liquids or foreign substances to enter the system. Liquids or foreign substances may cause noxious fumes, a fire, or a system malfunction. Stop using the system if it malfunctions, such as no audio output or display. If you continue using the system when it is malfunctioning, it may lead to a fire, electric shock, or system failure. Note If you experience any problems with the system, contact your place of purchase or dealer. Note Do not apply excessive force to the system. Excessive pressure on the screen may damage the LCD panel or the touch panel. When cleaning the screen or button panel, make sure to stop the engine and use a soft, dry cloth. Wiping the screen or buttons with a rough cloth or using solvents (alcohol, benzene, paint thinner, etc.) may scratch or chemically damage the surface. If you attach a liquid-type air freshener to the fan louver, the surface of the louver may become deformed due to the flowing air. Using the system for a long time when the engine is stopped may discharge the battery. Do not install unapproved products. Using unapproved products may cause an error while using the system. ) When a call comes in, reject the call. During a call, end the call. 1-4 Turning the system on or off The following explains how to turn the system on or off. Turning on the system 1 To turn on the system, start the engine. 2 When the safety warning appears, read it and press Confirm. To change the system language, press Language. Warning Driving while distracted can result in a loss of vehicle control that may lead to an accident, severe bodily injury, or death. The drivers primary responsibility is the safe and legal operation of the vehicle, and the use of any vehicle systems, including the touch screen and steering wheel controls, which take the drivers eyes, attention, and focus away from the safe operation of the vehicle, or which are not permissible by law, should never be used during the operation of the vehicle. Some functions may be disabled for safety reasons while the vehicle is moving. They work only when the vehicle stops. Park your vehicle in a safe location before using any of them. In a manual transmission vehicle, apply the parking brake to use the functions. In an automatic transmission vehicle, shift to P (Park) or apply the parking brake. Stop using the system if it malfunctions, such as no audio output or display. If you continue using the system when it is malfunctioning, it may lead to a fire, electric shock, or system failure. 1-5 Caution Turning off the system You can turn on the system when the key ignition switch is placed in the "ACC"

or "ON" position. Using the system for an extended period without the engine running drains the battery. If you plan on using the system for a long time, start the engine. If you turn on your system without starting the engine, a battery warning will appear. Once the engine starts, the battery warning will disappear. Note To avoid having audio play at an excessive volume when you start the engine, adjust the volume level before stopping the engine. You can also set the system to decrease the volume level automatically. On the Home screen, press All Menus >

Setup > Sound > Priority and activate the Start-up Volume Limit option. If you do not want to use the system while driving, press and hold the Power button on the control panel. The screen and the sound will turn off. To use the system again, press the Power button. After you have turned off the engine, the system will automatically turn off after a while or as soon as you open the driver's door. Depending on the vehicle model or specifications, the system may turn off as soon as you turn off the engine. Using the touch screen Your system is equipped with a touch screen. You can perform various functions via touch inputs. Warning Do not use the touch screen while driving as this will divert your attention away from the safe operation of the vehicle. You may lose your steering control which could cause an accident and severe bodily injuries. 1-6 Caution Press and hold Press an object and hold it for at least one second without lifting your finger. You can rewind or fast forward media by pressing and holding an appropriate button. Do not apply excessive pressure to the touch screen or press it with a pointed object. Doing so may damage the touch screen. Do not let any electrically conductive material contact the touch screen. A shock from static electricity may cause the system or the touch screen to malfunction. Note If you wear regular gloves, you will not be able to control the touch screen. Remove your gloves or wear gloves designed for use with a touch screen. Press Press an object lightly and lift your finger. You can perform a function or select an option. Drag Press an object, drag it, and then drop it on a new location. 1-7 Slide You can change the playback position during media playback. On a playback screen, press and hold the progress bar, slide your finger along the progress bar, and then lift it at a desired location. Changing the Home screen widgets You can change the types of widgets displayed on the Home screen. 1 On the Home screen, press Menu > Edit Left Widget or Edit Right Widget. Alternatively, press and hold the widget you want to change. 2 Select a desired function. Note You cannot set the same function for the left and right widgets. Press Reset to restore the default Changing the Home screen menu icons You can change the types and locations of menus on the Home screen. 1 On the Home screen, press Menu > Edit Home Icons. You can only change its location. Press Reset to restore the default settings for menus. Once you change the menus displayed on the Home screen, it may affect how to access or perform some functions. If you cannot find a function you want from the Home screen, press All Menus to access or perform it. 1-10 Rearranging the All Menus screen Rearrange the menus on the All Menus screen. 1 On the Home screen, press All Menus. 2 Press Menu > Reorder Icons. Alternatively, press and hold anywhere on the All Menus screen. 3 Drag a menu to the desired location. Note Press Reset to restore the default settings for the menu order. 1-11 Useful functions Using phone projection Getting to know the driving assistance screen Viewing driving information (if equipped) Viewing Blue Link notices (if equipped) Caution Using an approved USB cable provided by your smartphone manufacturer is recommended. Using unapproved USB cables may cause a phone projection error or a system malfunction. Use only applications that are compatible with phone projection. Using incompatible applications may cause problems for your system or smartphone. Only compatible applications will be displayed on the phone projection screen. You can also check compatible applications by visiting the following websites:

- Android Auto: https://www.android. com/ios/carplay com/auto Using phone projection Phone projection enables you to connect your Android smartphone or iPhone to your system and use their functions via the system. You can perform and control your smartphone applications by using the larger screen and enhance your use of the system. Warning Driving while distracted can result in a loss of vehicle control that may lead to an accident, severe bodily injury, or death. The drivers primary responsibility is the safe and legal operation of the vehicle, and the use of any vehicle systems, including the touch screen and steering wheel controls, which take the drivers eyes, attention, and focus away from the safe operation of the vehicle, or which are not permissible by law, should never be used during the operation of the vehicle. Do not adjust or set up any phone settings while driving. You may lose your steering control which could cause an accident and severe bodily injuries. 2-2 Connecting your Android smartphone via Android Auto You can connect your Android smartphone and system via Android Auto and control your smartphone applications on the systems screen. Before using Android Auto, be sure to check the following:

Android Auto support on your smartphone Visit the Android homepage (https://

www.android.com/auto) and check the regions, device types, and models that support Android Auto. Android Auto installed on your smartphone Download and install the Android Auto application from Google Play. If you are in a region where Android Auto is not supported, you cannot install the application. Start Android Auto by following the steps below:

1 On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup > Device Connections > Android Auto

> Enable Android Auto. 2 Connect your smartphone to the USB port in your vehicle via the cable supplied with the smartphone. If you are connecting the device for phone projection for the first time, read the message on the notification pop-up window and press Next >

OK. Caution Do not connect and disconnect a USB connector repeatedly in a short time. Doing so may cause an error in the device or a system malfunction. 2-3 3 If your smartphone is locked, Note unlock it and agree to use phone projection. When the smartphone is recognized successfully, the Android Auto menu is activated on the All Menus screen. 4 On the Home screen, press All Menus > Android Auto. 5 Use your smartphone's functions, such as calling and messaging, on your system. Press an icon on the screen to run an application or perform a function. Press the Voice recognition button on the steering wheel to start Google voice recognition. Press the Call/Answer button on the steering wheel to start using Bluetooth call functions. 6 To end Android Auto, remove the USB cable from your system. When phone projection is active, you cannot change the phone projection settings. To change the settings, remove the USB cable from your system. Depending on Google's policies, the icons on the main screen of Android Auto may change. Depending on Google's policies, applications or functions that are compatible with Android Auto may change. To check compatible applications, visit the Android homepage (https://www.android.com/

auto). To use phone projection in optimized environments, update your smartphone's operating system to the latest version. Depending on the connected device's hardware, firmware, and operating system versions, the recognition time may vary. Using phone projection may result in mobile communication charges. Depending on the network signal status, some functions may not work correctly. Avoid controlling your smartphone while phone projection is in use. While you are using Android Auto, the following functions are unavailable:

- USB mode

- Searches using the Search knob

- Apple CarPlay 2-4 Connecting your iPhone via Apple CarPlay You can connect your iPhone and system via Apple CarPlay and control your smartphone applications on the systems screen. Before using Apple CarPlay, be sure to check the following:

Apple CarPlay support on your iPhone Visit the Apple homepage (https://

www.apple.com/ios/carplay) and check the iPhone models that support Apple CarPlay. Apple CarPlay and Siri activated or updated on your iPhone On your iPhone, ensure that Apple CarPlay and Siri are activated. If your iPhone does not have the functions, update the iPhone's operating system to the latest version. Start Apple CarPlay by following the steps below:

1 On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup > Device Connections > Apple CarPlay

> Enable Apple CarPlay. 2 Connect your iPhone to the USB port in your vehicle via the cable supplied with the iPhone. If you are connecting the device for phone projection for the first time, read the message on the notification pop-up window and press Next >

- Android Auto 2-6 Getting to know the driving assistance screen You can view the outside of your vehicle on the system screen. Depending on the vehicle model, the displayed screens and available functions may vary. Caution The distance shown in the rear view screen may differ from the actual distance. For safety, be sure to visually check the rear, left, and right sides of your vehicle. Rear view screen When you shift to "R" (Reverse) while the engine is running, the system screen will automatically display the rear view and the parking guides. c b a d Driving direction lines (yellow) ab These lines show the directions of the vehicle according to the steering angle. Neutral direction lines (blue) c These lines indicate your vehicles expected path with the steering wheel in the neutral position. It can help you determine whether the vehicle is in the correct position in a parking space and prevent you from parking too close to the next vehicle. Crash warning lines (red) d These lines are to help prevent a collision. 2-7 Steering-interactive camera (if equipped)

[ Checking the rear top view (if equipped) With the rear top view feature, you can look down at what is behind you. On the rear view screen, press

. The parking guides are displayed on the rear top view screen.

- The parking guides indicate the space necessary to open the tailgate of your vehicle. It can help you see if there is enough space to open the tailgate after parking and if there is any obstacle to opening it.

- An extension of your vehicles center appears. It shows the path of your vehicles center according to the steering angle. Warning When backing up, make sure to follow the guidelines below:

Before entering your vehicle, always check the area behind your vehicle. Do not solely rely on the rear view camera when backing up. Always ensure that it is safe to back up by checking behind you and looking in the rearview mirrors. Always back up slowly and stop immediately if you suspect that a person, especially a child, might be behind you. Note You can change the operation setting for the rear view camera. On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup >

Advanced > Extend Rear Camera Use and activate the Extend Rear Camera Use option. The rear view screen will remain active even if you shift to any position other than R (Reverse) after backing up. >See Extend Rear Camera Use. If an object comes too close to your vehicle as you are parking the vehicle, a warning beep will sound. To prevent an accident that might result if you do not hear the beep, you can set the system to decrease the volume level of any media playing automatically when you are parking the vehicle. On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup >

Sound > Priority > Proximity Warning. 2-8 Surround view monitor (if equipped) Press one of the icons at the bottom of the screen to check the corresponding direction. The surround view monitor feature enables you to view the surroundings of your vehicle by using multiple cameras installed in the vehicle.

Rearranging the preset list 1 On the radio screen, press Menu > Reorder Presets. 2 Press next to the radio station you want to move and drag it to a desired location. Your changes will be applied to the preset list immediately. 3 Press to finish. 3-4 Deleting saved radio stations 1 On the radio screen, press Menu > Delete Presets. 2 Select the radio station you want to delete and press Delete > Yes. The selected radio station will be deleted from the preset list. When you download your contacts, any old data will be deleted. You cannot edit or delete your contacts on the system. Accepting or rejecting a call When a call comes in, a notification pop-

up window of the incoming call appears on the system screen. To answer the call, press Accept. Alternatively, press the Call/Answer button on the steering wheel. To reject the call, press Reject. Alternatively, press the Call end button on the steering wheel. Warning Park your vehicle in a safe location before connecting any Bluetooth devices. Distracted driving can cause a traffic accident and lead to personal injury or death. Never pick up your mobile phone while driving. Use of a mobile phone may distract your attention, making it difficult to recognize external conditions and reducing the ability to cope with unexpected situations, which may lead to an accident. If necessary, use the Bluetooth Handsfree feature to make a call and keep the call as short as possible. Note Depending on the mobile phone type, call rejection may not be supported. Once your mobile phone is connected to the system, the call sound may be output through the vehicles speakers even after you exit the vehicle if the phone is within the connection range. To end the connection, disconnect the device from the system or deactivate Bluetooth on the device. You can activate privacy mode by pressing Privacy Mode on the incoming call pop-up window. In privacy mode, contact information will not be displayed. To deactivate privacy mode, press Menu > Privacy Mode on the Bluetooth phone screen. 5-12 Using functions during a call Note During a call, you will see the call screen shown below. If you set the microphone volume too high, the other party may have a difficulty understanding you due to noise or echoing, depending on their mobile phone and surroundings. Setting the volume to 30 or lower is recommended. If the caller information is saved in your contacts list, the caller's name and phone number will be displayed. If the caller information is not saved in your contacts list, only the caller's phone number will be displayed. You cannot switch to any other screen, such as the radio, media, or settings screen, during a Bluetooth call. Depending on the mobile phone type, call quality may vary. Checking maintenance service intervals You can view the service intervals between your last and next scheduled maintenance. Use this information to decide when your vehicle needs its next maintenance service. Auto Crash Notification This feature provides you with immediate assistance in the event of an accident or when any airbag is deployed. If an accident occurs, an Auto Crash Notification signal including your location and customer information, will be automatically transmitted to the response center. [ Vehicle slowdown This feature enables law enforcement to gradually reduce the engine power of the vehicle, thus slowing it down to safe levels. A warning will be sent to the driver prior to the slowdown procedure.

[ Vehicle immobilization This feature enables law enforcement to send a signal to the vehicle that immobilizes the engine management system, thus preventing startup. This feature is only valid when the vehicle ignition is off. - SPORT: This drive mode configures the suspension for a steady and dynamic ride. 8-2 AWD: Select a four-wheel drive mode.

- SMART: This drive mode enables the vehicle to automatically adjust the four-wheel drive mode based on the driving activity.

- ECO: This drive mode is for optimum fuel efficiency.

- COMFORT: This drive mode is optimized for a comfortable ride.

- SPORT: This drive mode is optimized for dynamic driving.

[ Drive Mode Change Alert (if equipped) You can set to display a notification when you change your vehicles drive mode. Detailed Alert: When you change the drive mode, a detailed notification will be displayed with the vehicle image. Simple Alert: When you change the drive mode, a brief notification will be displayed at the top of the screen. Off: When you change the drive mode, no notification will be displayed. Note Depending on the model or specifications of your vehicle, this function may not be supported. Active Sound Design (if equipped) You can select an engine sound mode. The set engine sound is a virtual sound that is output through the system speaker. It does not affect the engines actual operation and performance. Caution For your safety, park your vehicle at a safe location and shift to P (Park) before setting the engine sound effect. Note If you replace the vehicles amplifier or speaker arbitrarily, this function may not work correctly. 8-3 Coasting (if equipped) You can set the vehicle to disengage the engine from the transmission while coasting in ECO mode to save fuel. Heated/Ventilated Features (if equipped) You can set the steering wheel heater and the driver seat heater or ventilation to be controlled automatically. The auto control mode will be deactivated if you operate the heater or ventilation controls manually. Selecting this option again or restarting the vehicle will reactivate the auto control mode. Seat Position Change Alert

(if equipped) You can set the system to display a notification when you change the position, height, or angle of the drivers seat. 8-4 Climate (if equipped)

Carbon Dioxide Auto Vent: Set to expel air from the vehicle automatically when the carbon dioxide density in the vehicle increases. Note Depending on the climate control specifications, some functions may not be supported.

[ Recirculate Air (if equipped) You can set the system to cut off the inflow of outdoor air to maintain a comfortable environment. Activate upon Washer Fluid Use: Set to activate air recirculation to decrease the inflow of the washer fluid smell while spraying washer fluid. 8-5 Configuring the device connection settings You can manage Bluetooth devices or customize your Bluetooth settings. You can also enable phone projection to control your smartphone applications via the system screen. On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup > Device Connections and select an option to change.

[ Defog/Defrost Options (if equipped) You can change the defog/defrost settings. Defog/Defrost: Set to activate air ventilation or operate the air conditioner automatically to defog or defrost the windshield. Auto Defog: Set to operate the climate control system automatically to prevent fog from forming on the front windshield.

[ Climate Features (if equipped) Lock Rear Climate Controls: Set to prevent operation of the climate control system from the rear seats. Rear Climate Controls: Set to check the current status and control the rear seat climate control system via the system screen. You can change the settings for the climate control features. [ Reset You can delete all paired Bluetooth devices and reset your Bluetooth settings to default values. All data related to Bluetooth devices will also be deleted. 8-7 Configuring the advanced system settings You can customize the advanced system settings, such as notifications or button functions. On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup > Advanced and select an option to change. Custom Button You can assign a function to the Custom button on your control panel. Steering Wheel MODE Button You can switch between different radio/

media functions when pressing the Mode button on your steering wheel. Home Screen You can change the widgets and menus displayed on the Home screen. Personalize the Home screen by adding your favorite menus. >See "Changing the Home screen widgets" or "Changing the Home screen menu icons."

8-8 Media Change Notifications You can set to briefly display media information at the top of the screen when not on the main media screen. If you change the media item by using any controls on the control panel or steering wheel, media information will appear regardless of this setting. Extend Rear Camera Use You can set the rear view screen to remain active even if you shift to any position other than "R" (Reverse) after backing up. When you shift to "P" (Park) or drive at a predetermined speed or faster, the rear view screen will be deactivated and the system will display the previous screen automatically. Configuring the general system settings You can customize your system settings, such as the time and date, the system language, and more. On the Home screen, press All Menus > Setup > General and select an option to change. Date/Time You can set the current time and date or change the time display format.

[ GPS Time You can set the system to receive time information from the GPS. When you deactivate this option, you can set the time and date manually. 8-9

[ Time Zone Keyboard You can select your time zone. You can customize your keyboard settings.

[ Daylight Saving Time You can apply daylight saving time.

[ 24 Hours You can set the time in the 24 hour format. Language You can change the system language. Note Your keyboard settings will be applied throughout the system when inputting text.

[ English Keyboard You can select an English keyboard.

[ Default Keyboard You can select a default keyboard. Note It may take a while for the system to apply the selected language. When the change is completed, a pop-up window will appear telling you the system language has changed. Press outside the pop-up window area on the screen to close the window, or wait for a few seconds. This setting will not affect user data, such as MP3 file names. 8-10 Screen Saver

[ SW Info/Update You can select a screen saver option after turning off your screen by pressing and holding the Power button on the control panel. You can view your system's version information or update it to the latest version. To update your system, visit your local dealership. Caution Depending on data size, an update may take several minutes. Do not turn off the system or remove the storage device while the update is in progress. If the power supply is cut off or the storage device is removed from the system, it may corrupt the data or cause a system malfunction.
