FFoorr LLCCDD TTVV If the TV feels cold to the touch, there may be a small flicker when it is turned on. This is normal, there is nothing wrong with TV. Some minute dot defects may be visible on the screen, appearing as tiny red, green, or blue spots. However, they have no adverse effect on the monitor's performance. Avoid touching the LCD screen or holding your finger(s) against it for long periods of time. Doing so may produce some temporary dis-

When attaching to other building materials, please contact your nearest installer. If installed on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe personal injury. We recommend that you use an LG brand wall mount when mounting the TV to a wall. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer. P R E P A R A T O N I 14 CABLE MANAGEMENT I Image shown may differ from your TV. 1 Connect the cables as necessary. To connect additional equipment, see the EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT SETUP section. Secure the power cable with the PROTECTIVE BRACKET and SCREW as shown. It will help prevent the power cable from being removed by accident. 2 Install the CABLE MANAGEMENT CLIP as shown. 3 Put the cables inside the CABLE MANAGEMENT CLIP and snap it closed. NOTE
GG Do not hold the CABLE MANAGEMENT CLIP when moving the TV.
- If the TV is dropped, you may be injured or the product may be broken. Tipping, shaking, or rocking the machine may cause injury. 17 PREPARATION SECURING THE TV TO THE WALL TO PREVENT FALLING WHEN THE TV IS USED ON A STAND I You should purchase necessary components to prevent the TV from tipping over (when not using a wall mount). I Image shown may differ from your TV. We recommend that you set up the TV close to a wall so it cannot fall over if pushed backwards. Additionally, we recommend that the TV be attached to a wall so it cannot be pulled in a forward direction, potentially causing injury or damaging the product. Caution: Please make sure that children dont climb on or hang from the TV. P R E P A R A T O N I I Insert the eye-bolts (or TV brackets and bolts) to tighten the product to the wall as shown in the picture.
* If your product has the bolts in the eye-bolts position before inserting the eye-bolts, loosen the bolts.
* Insert the eye-bolts or TV brackets/bolts and tighten them securely in the upper holes. Secure the wall brackets with the bolts (sold separately) to the wall. Match the height of the bracket that is mounted on the wall to the holes in the product. Ensure the eye-bolts or brackets are tightened securely. I Use a sturdy rope (sold separately) to tie the product. It is safer to tie the rope so it becomes horizontal between the wall and the product. NOTE

The product meets the requirements for the TCO99 scheme which provides for international and environmental labelling of personal computers and/or displays. The labelling scheme was developed as a joint effort by the TCO (The Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees), Svenska Naturskyddsforeningen
(The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation) and Statens Energimyndighet (The Swedish National Energy Administration). Approval requirements cover a wide range of issues:
ecology, ergonomics, emission of electrical and magnetical fields, energy consumption and electrical safety. Ecological criteria impose restrictions on the presence and use of heavy metals, brominated and chlorinated flame retardants, and other substances. The product must be prepared for recycling and the manufacturing site(s) shall be certified according to ISO14001 or EMAS registered. Energy requirements include a demand that the system unit and/or display, after a certain period of inactivity, shall reduce its power consumption to a lower level in one or more stages. The length of time to reactivate the system unit shall be reasonable for the user. Cadmium is present in rechargeable batteries and in the colour-generating layers of certain computer displays. TCO99 requires that batteries, the colour-generating layers of display screens, and the electrical or electronics components shall not contain any cadmium. Mercury**
Mercury is sometimes found in batteries, relays and switches. TCO99 requires that batteries shall not contain any mercury. It also demands that mercury is not present in any of the electrical or electronics components associated with the labelled unit. There is however one 02 Regulatory Information cont. exception. Mercury is, for the time being, permitted in the back light system of flat panel monitors as there today is no commercially available alternative. TCO aims on removing this exception when a mercury free alternative is available. Lead**
