Base station Setup 14 12 Connect power cord to the AC power adaptor. Plug the cord into the base station first and then the other end into a power outlet, 2. Load Battery 24 22. Make sure the power switch at lower-left comer of your 100WT10P is in the OFF position. Install the Battery 2.2.1. Place 100WT10P on your desk with its face down 2.2.2. Place the battery in the battery slot then press it down to fit in 2.2.3. Push the battery latch 1 to the locked position 2.2.4. For the first time use, it requires 5 hours to full charged , and the full charged battery will last up to 4 hours 3, Get Ready To operate the pad with AC connection, 3.1. Place 100WT10P into its base station 3.2. Power on 100WT10P 4, WLAN Setup 4.1, Click Start Menu 4.2, Choose Settings 4.3. Choose Network and Dial-up Connections 4.4, Choose PRISMNDSI-PCI 4.5. Acdialog box pops up. Click the Wireless Networks tab. In Available Networks panel click Fresh button. In a few seconds it comes up a list of available networks 46. Select a network that you wish to connect to 4.7. Click Configure 48, Click OK 5. Restart 5.1. Occasionally user might need to restart the pad operation right in the middle of an application. 5.2. Software restart. This is to restart the OS without suspending the pad operation. Place the pad with its face down, slide the Restart switch so you can see the Software Reset button. Push the button with the tip 0, and the OS will restart. 5.3. Hardware restart. Slide the Restart switch to show the Hardware Reset button. Push the button with a tip of a pencil to hardware restart. Be noted the content of memory will be deleted with a hardware reset, Step 2.Software Setup MS Windows CE.NET is used as the operation system. It's embedded in the hardware when the product shipped. To use the pad as the first time, there are some setup processes that might be of use. 1 2, Input Panel 4.1. Input panel is the virtual keyboard that can be turn on by pushing the hot button on the far right bottom of the pad. It can be turn off by another push 4.2 Input panel has the size of large or small to choose to, Go to Settings>Control panel>Input panel to select the size of keyboard Stylus recalibration 1.1 User will rely on stylus tapping to operate the pad. The tapping pattern is varied among users. Therefore there is a setup process for the system to learn the tapping pattern of a new user. Go to Settings>Control panel>Stylus then follow the instruction on the screen to go through the process for the stylus tapping recalibration Page 4 3.
