The charging light will turn on during charging and turn off once it is fully charged. Charging takes approximately 2 hours. Charge the keyboard after opening the package and before initial use. Once fully charged, the keyboard has a battery life of 68 hours when in continuous use. The battery life is 45 days if left on standby. The low battery indicator light will flash slowly when the battery is low. Note: The keyboard and iPad must be charged separately. Connecting your keyboard 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Turn on Bluetooth on your iPad 2. Select Settings > General > Bluetooth > On Turn on the Bluetooth keyboard by sliding the power switch. You will hear 2 beeps. Press and hold the Connect button for 3 seconds. You will hear 3 beeps. Archetype will show on screen as an available bluetooth device. Select Archetype and a four-digit code will show. Type the four-digit code using the Bluetooth keyboard and press . Return Your keyboard and iPad 2 should automatically connect. Note:

I want to unpair the keyboard from my iPad 2. Go to iPad 2:
Select Settings > General > Bluetooth > Archetype > Forget this Device. I want to pair the keyboard with another device. You have to first unpair the keyboard from your iPad 2. Establish pairing with other devices separately following the steps provided. Note: The keyboard will work with all Apple products that have Bluetooth. 1. Insert a screwdriver between the top of the keyboard and the metal case at the top or bottom. 2. Pry up the top of the keyboard and remove it completely. 3. Turn the top over and remove the battery. 4. Separate the battery from the circuit board. 5. Dispose of the battery in a safe manner in accordance with local laws.
