Voice recognition is breaking new ground every day and is being used in more and more everyday appliances and devices. We ask you to keep just one limitation in mind when using Vocca Pro: The machine cannot hear better than us, and like any other loved one, sometimes you just have to say things twice. With this in mind, we are confident that you will use Vocca Pro successfully!
Please Note: The maximum bulb power (wattage) to be used with Vocca Pro is 30W. Using a higher wattage bulb may result in permanent damage to Vocca Pro!
Installing Vocca Pro To use Vocca Pro, install it by following these three steps:
A. Select which bulb in the house do you wish to install Vocca Pro and then make sure its light switch is turned off. B. Unscrew the bulb from its socket (counter clock wise rotations) and then screw Vocca Pro to that socket. C. Screw the bulb to Vocca Pro and then turn the light switch on. The light should come on. Thats It! Vocca Pro is now ready to be used. Using Vocca Pro standalone operation Vocca Pro is transparent to the switch and bulb - this means that when you turn the light switch on, the bulb will turn on and when you turn it off, the bulb will also turn off. This enables you to use the light switch as usual. However, it is very important to understand that Vocca Pro will only work when the light switch is turned on. When the light switch is turned off, no power will arrive to Vocca Pro making it inactive. Voice activating Vocca Pro is easy: when in the same room, just say the trigger phrase Go Vocca Light and the light will toggle its state (from on to off or from off to on). Using Vocca Pro working with a smart phone/tablet. Install the Vocca Pro App and activate it. The App should recognize Vocca Pro and connect to it. Now, you can use the App to do one of the following:
1. Turn the bulb light on and off with a press of a button 2. Record your own trigger and download it to the Vocca Pro. 3. Return the Vocca pro back to its default trigger. 4. Set a time for the Vocca to turn its light on or off. 5. Set the silence time after which the light will turn off. 6. Set the noise time after which the light will turn on. More details can be found on the Apps help menu. Frequently Asked Questions The following is a list of the most common questions and problems encountered when using Vocca Pro. If you cannot find a solution to your problem here, please do contact us. Question: I have connected the unit as described in this manual; but, when I turn the light switch on, the light does not turn on. What can be wrong?
Answer: Please make sure that the light bulb you are using is working. You can do that by testing it at a different location. If you find it to be working, make sure that Vocca Pro is securely screwed to its socket and that the bulb is securely screwed to Vocca Pro. Question: When I say the trigger phrase, Vocca Pro will not react to my voice. What am I doing wrong?
Answer: This symptom usually has two main causes:
1. You are trying to activate Vocca Pro while loud background noise is present. This can be any noise coming from people talking in the same room with you or a TV/Radio set working nearby. 2. Vocca Pro is tuned to work best with an American accent, spoken by an adult (not a child).
