WeC1029 is a portable WiFi Storage with WiFi AP/Router functions. It supports SD, microSD and USB storage of files sharing and multimedia playback with your friends and family via your smartphone or iPhone/iPad. Wireless mode can be easily switched by Firmware Setting. There are two modes. One is gateway router and the other is WiFi Repeater. The default network mode is wireless gateway router. WeC1029 can be powered from either AC/DC 5V 1000mA adapter or a computer/Notebook with USB port. 1.2 Package contents

Follow the below setup to setup the WeC1029:
1. For firstly usage, put the slider switch to PWR OFF. Connect the micro USB power cord to the WeC1029 micro USB port for charging . 2. Connect the AC/DC adapter to the wall or power extension cord. 3. After charging fully, put the slider switch to PWR ON. Searching a SSID ES-XXXXXX from your smartphone or iPone/iPad and starting to enjoy your WeC1029. Please use a qualify 5V power adapter for charging the WeC1029.
(IMPORTANT: Use of a different power adapter could damage the WeC1029.) Whenever charging WeC1029, make sure the slider switch to PWR OFF position. >=10s: Reload the factory default and reboot system Ver 0.1 Page 10 WeC1029 Chapter 3 Wireless Firmware Setup This chapter is to describe how to configure WeC1029 to setup different modes: Wireless Router and WiFi Repeater mode. Each mode has AP capability. Operation Mode:
Router(Gateway):
In this mode, WeC1029 is supposed to connect to internet with a ADSL/Cable modem. A RJ45 cable from WAN such as ADSL/Cable modem to WeC1029s RJ45 port and WeC1029 supports DCHP, Static IP and PPPoE.
WiFi Repeater:
In this mode,WeC1029 can be bridged together to another existed Gateway/Router through WiFi interface. Power up to WeC1029. Make sure the WiFi LED flash before connecting to the WeC1029 2. Turn on WiFi of your smart phone and find the SSID of WeC1029. Default SSID of WeC1029 is ES-XXXXXX. 3. Open any Browser 4. Enter: http://10.10.1.1 There are two modes for Internet access (Router/WiFi Repeater) as below. Ver 0.1 Page 14 WeC1029 3.2.1 Status This page is to give general information of the WeC1029. Ver 0.1 Page 15 WeC1029 3.2.2 Setup Wizard The Setup Wizard will guide you step by step thru the setting. Follow the Setup Wizard instruction and select the options. There are 2 options: Router (default) and WiFi Repeater. Router: The WiFi data will be routed to RJ45 Ethernet cable. [Default Mode]
WiFi Repeater: The WiFi data will be routed to WAN (or another existed WiFi Router/Gateway) thru WiFi. It can also be used as a WiFi extend range. Note: At this mode the RJ45 is served as LAN Ver 0.1 Page 16 WeC1029 3.2.2.1 Setup Wizard Router
Connect the RJ45 (Ethernet cable) from the Gateway/Router to the WeC1029s RJ45 Port.
Turn on WiFi of your smart phone and find the SSID of WeC1029. Default SSID of WeC1029 is ES-XXXXXX.
Open any browser and enter: 10.10.1.1
Select Router:
Click Next Ver 0.1 Page 17 WeC1029 There are three WAN access types and you can select one of them depend on your WAN network. o DHCP Client [Default] recommended. o Static IP o PPPoE (Most of the home ADSL modem is using PPPoE). If PPPoE is selected, than an username and password must be enter. The username and password can be obtained from the ADSLs provider.
Click Next Ver 0.1 Page 18 WeC1029 You can input a SSID of WeCl029 and give a encryption to WeC1029 as below. WPA2 (AES) is recommended and input a key what you want. None is free encryption and it is unsafe network.
Click Next Ver 0.1 Page 19 WeC1029 Please wait until appear a screen which count down 20seconds. Below screen is counting down. After count down finished, you should re-connect your WeC1029 through your smart phone. Ver 0.1 Page 20 WeC1029 3.2.2.1 Setup Wizard WIFI Repeater
Turn on WiFi of your smart phone and find the SSID of WeC1029. Default SSID of WeC1029 is ES-XXXXXX.
Open any browser and enter: 10.10.1.1

Click Next Ver 0.1 Page 23 WeC1029 You should find your WiFi router existed at home as below and select the SSID which your existed WiFi router . For example, select SZ_Evan.
Click Next Ver 0.1 Page 24 WeC1029 If you have a encryption for your existed WiFi router, you should input a key to pass.
Click Finished Ver 0.1 Page 25 WeC1029 Please wait until appear a screen which count down 20seconds. Below screen is counting down. After count down finished, you should re-connect your WeC1029 through your smart phone. Ver 0.1 Page 26 WeC1029 Noteyou can go to Setting again and click Status to review the status of WeC1029 as below. DCHP is enable and it is successful that got a dynamic IP address from your WiFi router existed. If WeC1029 can not get a dynamic IP address , please wait about 20~40 seconds or check setting of WiFi Repeater again. SSID: Enter a new preferred SSID
Encryption: Select an encryption method. Suggest: WPA2(AES)
Pre-Shared Key Format: Select Passphrase

Click Finished Ver 0.1 Page 28 WeC1029 3.3.1 Manual Setting Site Survey Ver 0.1 Page 29 WeC1029 3.3.1 Manual Setting LAN Interface This section show how to alter the TCP/IP. NOTE: DONT ALTERNATE ANY VALUE. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE SETTING. SETTING THE WRONG VALUE, MAY CAUSE THE DEVICE FAIL TO OPERATE.
IP Address: 10.10.1.1[Default].
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 [Default]. This field is depending on the IP Address value.
Default Gateway: 10.10.1.1[Default]. It should be the same as IP Addres.
DHCP: Server[Default]. It will generate IP Address. If select Client, than the device wont generate IP Address
DHCP Client Range: The range of IP address Ver 0.1 Page 30 WeC1029 which are generate by DHCP server.
DHCP Client Range: 480[Default]. The IP leasing time.
Click Apply Changes to save the setting. Ver 0.1 Page 31 WeC1029 3.4 Management This section describe how to maintenance the WeC1029 Firmware. 3.4.1 Management Upgrade Firmware
Firmware Version: Record down the firmware version before you upgrade to a new version.
Select File: Click Upload Box to select the Firmware to upgrade.
Upload: After computer successfully load the file, click Upload button
The WeC1029 will reboot itself after successfully upgrade the firmware. NOTE: DONT TURN OFF THE POWER DURING THE UPLOAD FIRMWARE. FAILURE TO DO WILL DAMAGE THE WeC1029. Ver 0.1 Page 32 WeC1029 3.4.2 Management Save/Reload Settings
Save Settings to File: The configuration can be saved into a file and save in current computer.
Load Settings from File: A previous saved configuration file can be loaded back.
Reset Settings to Default: Click Reset to load the manufacture default setting value.
The WeC1029 will reboot itself after successfully upgrade/change. Ver 0.1 Page 33 WeC1029 3.4.3 Management Password Setup This section describe how to apply password to protect the configuration of Setting.
User Name: Enter any preferable name or word. NOTE: YOU SHOULD WRITE DOWN AND KEEP IN A SAVE PLACE. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO RECOVER THE USER NAME IF YOU FORGET OR LOST IT.
New Password: Enter any preferable name or word. NOTE: YOU SHOULD WRITE DOWN AND KEEP IN A SAVE PLACE. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO RECOVER THE PASSWORD IF YOU FORGET OR LOST IT.
Confirmed Password: Enter the same password as above
Click Apply Changes Ver 0.1 Page 34 WeC1029 Chapter 4 Using WeCloud Software 4.1 Using WeCloud APP/APK This software can be downloaded from GooglePlay or App store. WeCloud is a user friendly file manager software for iOS and Andriod system. Ver 0.1 Page 35 WeC1029 Chapter 5 Using Browser This Chapter is to guide you how to use a browser from any device(s) to view, delete, upload file and play multimedia on smart phones, PC and MAC. 5.1 Connect to WiFi Router/Gateway Follow the device WiFi connection instruction to connect to the WeC1029. Once the WiFi connection is link. Follow the instruction on next section. 5.2 Bring up Browser

Delete: Select a file you want to delete and press the delete from keyboard

Play MultiMedia file: Double Click the multi-media file you want to play. Ver 0.1 Page 37 WeC1029 Chapter 6 Q & A Q: WiFi does not stable. A: Check the power supply. Make sure the AC adapter be able to provide stable 5V/1A. If the battery is used, than make sure the battery has enough power. Ver 0.1 Page 38 FCC Caution. 15.19 Labelling requirements.
