TSI PRISMTM PASS3G Users Guide INTRODUCTION 1 The PASS3G (Personal Active Secured Sensor, 3rd Generation) is part of Alanco Technologies TSI PrismTM System which is the premier safety technology for corrections environments, providing real time, continuous monitoring of inmates. The PASS3G is worn on the wrist and is used for location and identification of the individual wearing the unit. 2 OPERATION 2.1 PASS3G INSTALLATION The PASS3G is attached to the wearer with a strap. The PASS3G is shipped in a deactivated mode to prevent transmissions during transport and does not begin to transmit until the unit is activated. Tamper Clip PASS3G Unit Strap 1 Bottom Clip 1/8/2008 1:33:00 PM To install the PASS3G, first insert the two tamper clips (one on each side) into the main PASS3G unit housing as shown above. Next place the bottom clip partially onto the main housing until there is approximately a 1/8 inch gap (resistance will be felt). Place the unit on the wrist of the wearer and push the strap through the housing until it is snug. Snap the bottom clip onto the top housing so it is completely closed as shown below. The PASS3G is activated via a wireless interface. This is done using the AeroScout Tag Manager application and the AeroScout Tag Activator. After the unit is installed on an individuals wrist and activated, the PASS3G calibrates the Body Sense circuitry and is ready for operation. 2 PASS3G - Users Guide.doc 2.2 PASS3G REMOVAL The PASS3G is deactivated using the AeroScout Tag Manager application and the AeroScout Tag Activator. The unit is removed using a special removal tool. The removal tool fits over the top of the PASS3G unit.
