Leave the handset located on the base unit (for DP01 model) or battery charger (for DP01S model) for 16 hours before using the DP01 handset for the first time. After that time, the batteries will be fully charged and the handset can be used to make and receive phone calls. Next charging cycles will take around 8 hours (from full discharge). Keep batteries out of reach of children. When the batteries charging level gets low, the handset beeps and shows a low battery alert; recharge the batteries. Rechargeable Battery Warning This equipment contains 2 rechargeable Nickel-Metal-Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries. Nickel is a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer. Do not short-circuit the batteries. The batteries in this equipment may explode if disposed of in a fire. Do not charge the batteries in any charger other than the original DP01(DP01S) handsets itself. Using another charger may damage the battery or cause it to explode. CAUTION! Switch off the handset and remove the batteries immediately. Allow the liquid to drain from the handset. Pat all parts dry, then place the handset with the battery compartment open and the keypad facing down in a dry, warm place for at least 72 hours (not in microwave, oven, etc). Do not switch on the handset again its completely dry. Once fully dried out, in many cases it will be possible to use the handset again even if some problems could show up. In order to avoid any detachment of the phone from its base and consequent crash on the floor, please make sure that the handset is well located
(stable) on the base station before leaving your hand from the handset. Crashes and/or broken parts due to users negligence in this phase are not covered under warranty conditions. Compliance Information FCC Part 68 Information (valid for DP01 model only) NOTE: The base unit of the DP01S model (slave unit) should be connected ONLY to the electrical mains, by using the power adaptor provided in its original package. The base unit of the DP01S model (slave unit) acts only as a battery charger for the DP01 Handset units. For this reason, it should NOT be connected to the PSTN (analogue telephone line) network!

To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact the telephone provider. For products approved after July 23rd, 2001 (including this product), the REN value is part of the product identifier that has the format US:A2TW401BDP01. For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label. 5) If this equipment (DP01 model only) causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. But if advance notice isn't practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible. If you have questions about what will disable alarm equipment, contact your telephone company or a qualified installer. CAUTION/WARNING:
Any changes or modifications to this product not expressly approved by the manufacturer or other party responsible for compliance could void not only your authority to operate this product, but also the limited warranty.
