Make sure you carefully read and understand operator's manual and all other safety instructions before using this product. Before you begin, make sure that the circuit breaker of the gate or garage door is switched off and there is no power in the system. Installation of Remootio 2 requires technical skills. https://www.remootio.com/blogs/tutorials/remootio-2-installation-manual Step 1 - Unboxing Open the box and remove the Remootio device. The wires, double-sided adhesives and the sensor can be found under the removable paper insert. Step 2 - Read the instruction manual carefully and follow the instructions The printed instruction manual can be found on the back side of the paper insert. Step 3 - Remove the plastic cover Use a cross head screwdriver to remove the screw from the Remootio unit and remove the plastic cover. Step 4 - Connect the control output of the Remootio unit to the appropriate input terminals of your gate or garage door. Based on the type of required control input, there are two types of gates and garage doors:
A single signal (impulse) can open, stop and close the gate or garage door Two separate signals (impulses) needed:
o One signal for opening o and another signal for closing. Single input type:
Different manufacturers name their control inputs differently. The most common terms are as follows:
"CYC", "IMPULSE", "IMP", "KBUTT", "OPERATE", "OSC", "PB", "PP", "SBS", "SS",
"START", "STRT", "SW", "TRG", "WALL BUTTON", "WALL CONTROL". Connect Remootio's control output to the appropriate input terminal of your garage door / gate control board. Please visit https://www.remootio.com/pages/compatibility and enter the make and model of your gate or garage door to search for the correct wiring diagram. Dual input type (separate input for opening and closing):
Connect Remootio's output #1 to the "open" input terminal of your gate or garage door control unit and connect Remootio's output #2 to the "close" input terminal of your gate or garage door control unit. Step 5 - Sensor installation Connect the sensor to terminal 4 of the Remootio 2 unit and use the included adhesives to mount the wireless part of the sensor on the moving part of the gate or garage door in such a way that it is not further than 30mm from the wired part of the sensor when the gate or garage door is closed. Step 6 - Connecting an accessory You can connect a push button or a doorbell button to terminal 5 of the Remootio board. Step 7 - Assemble the Remootio unit back together Use a screwdriver to assemble the Remootio unit. Make sure that you do not damage the wires during the assembly. Apply the double sided tape on the back side of Remootio as shown below:
Step 8 - Powering Remootio To power the Remootio 2 unit, simply use the included 5V USB power adapter with the plug type suitable for your country. Step 9 - Download the Remootio app Download the Remootio app from the App Store or from Google Play. Step 10 - Set up the Remootio unit Launch the Remootio app and make sure your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled. Tap on "Set up new device" and wait until the Remootio app finds the Remootio unit and sets it up. Your new Remootio 2 is now ready to use. Safety instructions Always keep the gate or garage door in sight and far away from people and objects until it is completely closed. NO ONE SHOULD CROSS THE PATH OR STAND IN THE PATH OF THE MOVING GATE OR GARAGE DOOR. The product must only be used with gate or door openers that are equipped with photoelectric sensors. FCC Warning This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Radiation Exposure Statement This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator and your body.
