BEKEY Installation Guide Entrance Door Unit BEKEY4.0 DE2 Wire for supply and relay Cable eye LEDs Location of serial number Mechanical Installation The Entrance Door Unit may only be installed by certified electricians and must fulfill all requirements given by this installation guide. The door unit must be enclosed in a way, where attempts to gain access to the door unit are prevented and where a spacing of at least 0.5 cm from the unit to the user is ensured at all times. The Orange Box can be mounted with double sided tape or using a cable tie through the cable eye on the box. The cable eye might be removed with a cutter if there is no need for it. When making a visible assembly of the door unit, place it indoor, in a membrane can, or a similar box which prevents direct access to the door unit using either screws, glue or similar. Electrical installation The door unit is mounted with 50 cm ( 1.64 ft.) cable with four leads. Two leads (red and black) to supply and two leads (orange and brown) to activate the door lock. The door lock is activated via a potential free normally open contact (RL 1 and RL 2). Due to the risk of lightning, the door unit should not be connected to a wire longer than 30 m ( 98 ft.). The door unit must be connected to a central power supply. The door lock is supplied through the relay. BEKEY during operation When the Door Unit is connected to the power supply, a red LED will flash, indicating that the CPU is running. A flashing yellow LED indicates Bluetooth1 communication, and the green LED indicates that the relay is being pulled. The LEDs should be turned off using the Install App when the unit is found to function correctly.
