VOL+: increase the volume 30. 31. 32. 3.4 Charge Unit Before your first use of this product, please use Power Cord to charge the unit at least 12 hours. You will see a full battery mark on screen to show the battery is fully charged. When the battery power is too low to support the usage, the unit will be turned off automatically. So you need to charge it for next use. Or you could use AC adapter to get power from Wall Outlet when it is available for your enjoy on this player. Operation Instructions 4 4.1 Start Menu Use POWER SWITCH to turn the unit on. When the main unit is on, user will be brought to the main menu as below. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT buttons and select options. Press ENTER to go to the menu you want. 4.2 Connect internet through Wi-Fi You may need a Wi-Fi wireless router, together with password key if set. 1: Select Setting > Network Setup > Wi-Fi Setup > Auto Scan. (The > indicates options leading to further menus.) The Auto Scan system will automatically search all available Wi-Fi networks within reach. Once the available networks are found, these will be listed as below for your selection. Two types of network:
Encrypted network: Show a lock icon and password is required for accessing to the network. Unencrypted network: Theres no lock icon and password is not required for connecting. Use remote control to select a particular network and press ENTER to connect. System will automatically start to connect if unencrypted network is selected. If encrypted network is selected, you will be brought to another screen to enter the password (assigned by the administrator of the network). Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, and ENTER on the remote control or the main unit to enter the password and follow by selecting OK to connect. If the system is successfully connected to the selected network, a notification will show Wi-Fi Connected Successfully; otherwise Wi-Fi password Invalid will appear. Please re-enter the correct password. Remark: This item supports 3 protocols: Static IP, DHCP and PPoE. DHCP is the default protocol to be used by the system automatically. Please check the network setting and review which protocol is being set you will need to manually connect the unit to the network if Static IP or PPoE is in use. 4.3 Internet TV When you select Internet TV menu, it connects to the Internet portal and provides a list of TV channels, organized into different categories such as Region, Genres, and Language. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, and ENTER on the remote control or the main unit to choose different channels. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, and ENTER on the remote control or the main unit to choose different stations. The operation is the same as Internet TV. 4.5 SHOUTcast Internet Radio Program SHOUTcast Internet Radio Program offer thousands Internet Radio Stations through the internet. The programs and playing lists are continuously updated and refreshed. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, and ENTER on the remote control or the main unit to choose different stations. 4.6 Podcast You can watch programs stored by the publishers and sort by Genres, Search and add to my favourites. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT, and ENTER on the remote control or the main unit to choose different stations. Please refer to Internet TV mode instruction. 4.7 Media Player 1) Playing Video/Music/Picture Files from Local Disk (Built-in Memory) 4: Go to Main Menu > Media Player > Disk (As the figure below) Press ENTER to select Local Disk and then there are three folders: Video, Music and Picture. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT on the remote control or the main unit to select and press ENTER for more options. Here is the example to show the Music playing list. Press UP/DOWN to select the songs and press ENTER to play. Other instructions:
LEFT/RIGHT: Select the next and previous song VOL-/VOL+: Adjust the volume EXIT: Exit from the current Music playing Mode. Once its selected, a warning Turn Off Music pops up. Press YES to exit and stop playing music or NO to exit to leave music on as background music. STOP: Quit music playing mode including background music. 2) Playing Video/Music/Picture Files from SD Card Insert the SD card into the SD card slot at the rear of the main unit. Go to Main Menu > Media Player > SD Card to play stored Video/Music/Picture files. 3. Click the InternetRadio icon and click Allow button to activate the sharing function. Press OK to confirm the settings. 4. Go to Library > Add to Library and then Select My folders and those of others that I can access. Click Advanced Options to choose the sharing folders. 6. Click Close when the adding process is complete. 7. Go to Main Menu Select UPnP and press ENTER to search all available UPnP devices. Press UP/DOWN on the remote control or the main unit to select the UPnP device on the list and press ENTER. 8. Once youre in UPnP mode, all sharing files are organized in different categories such as Music, video, picture etc. Press UP/DOWN on the remote control to select and play video/Music/picture. 4-9 Setting Digital Photo Frame 1. Select Photo menu and press ENTER. 2. Select Disk or SD to browse the files stored. 3. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT on the remote control or the main unit to select the folder or file to browse, and press ENTER. If you want to enjoy a picture slideshow with background music:
please go to Media Player, Internet Radio or FM Radio to choose the music you like and exit with music on, and then come here to choose slideshow. Previous Next Enlarge Shrink Rotate 4.10 Setting Time, Date, Calendar and Alarm Before Set Time and Date, please go to Settings to choose and confirm your Time Zone first. And then go to Date & Time in Settings or Clock in main Menu, and press ENTER. Slideshow Clock Display: shows current date, time and week. Calendar: Full Calendar display Alarm: Two sets Alarm are available . Clock Setting: allows you to set clock and time manually. Alarm On/Off: Turn on/off the alarm. Alarm Time: Press UP/Down/Left/Right on the remote control or the main unit to set the alarm. After finish the digitals setting, press Enter to confirm. Snooze: Snooze time options: 5, 7, 10 and 15 minutes. The system will automatically switch to Time & Date screen saving when no command is given in the period of time set by the user. Set Alarm Tone: Particular alarm tone can be set from: Default Ring, radio, Music from local built-in memory and SD card. Alarm Date: Alarm set to be in effective in 4 options: once, daily, working day.
(Monday Friday or Monday Saturday) 4.11 FM Radio Setup 1. Connect the FM antenna to the YPbPr jack at the main unit. 2. Go to Setting menu > FM setting > Region Setting and select from the available regions:
America, Europe and Japan. 3. Auto Scan: Go to Setting menu > FM setting > Auto Scan. Press ENTER on the remote control or the main unit, and a message on LCD to remind you to connect FM antenna. And then press ENTER again to search FM stations. After Searching, a FM Stations list available will show up. You could test listening every station here. 4. Listen to FM station: Select FM menu to play FM stations your unit found during last Auto Scan. 4.12 TV / LCD Output This product supports two types of video and audio output:
1. LCD output from the main unit: 4.3 TFT high resolution 480 X 272 pixels, 16:9 LCD 2. TV output: Signal received from the main unit will be output to TV via CVBS or YPbPr. Before switching TV output, follow the steps below to connect the main unit and TV:
1. Connect the 3.5mm plug of the CVBS cable (included in the package) to the CVBS slot at the main unit, and connect the other plugs (Yellow plug for composite video, Red and White for audio) to the AV jacks of a TV. 2. Turn on the TV and switch to AV channel or other particular channel depending on the TV 3. Make sure the main unit is powered on. model. Two ways to initiate the TV output after the connection is complete:
1. Go to TV OUT menu and select either LCD Out or TV Out. 2. Press LCD/TV on the remote control to switch between LCD (main unit) and TV output. Now you can enjoy the video, audio and picture files from the main unit projected on your TV screen!
Other Settings 5 Select Settings menu and choose the following options. 5.1 Language: Press UP/DOWN on the remote control to choose, and press ENTER to save the change. The change will take effect immediately after going back to the Main Menu or other interfaces. 5.2 Network Setup: (Also see section 4.2) 5.2.1 Wi-Fi Setup: Scan for available Wi-Fi connection. 5.2.2 Network Type: 1) Static IP 2) DHCP 3) PPoE 5.2.3 Network Status: Information contains IP address, Mark, Route and DNS to determine if the system is Wi-Fi connected. 5.3 Alarm: Please refer to the information provided in section 4.10 5.4 Key Tone Setting: Tone On Press ENTER to Turn on, and then you will see 5 Key tone sound options; Tone Off Turn off. 5.5 Slideshow Setting: Set picture slideshow mode and change display periods (5, 10, 15 and 30 seconds) for each image. 5.6 FM Setting:
Region Setting: Choose your FM Region. Auto Scan: Search FM stations automatically. Please refer to 4.11 FM setup for more info. 5.7 Screensaver Time: Switch to Clock Display Mode automatically if no command given within a period of time set by users. System will return to the previous interface after click EXIT or return to main menu after click MENU. 5.8 Time Zone: Choose and confirm your time zone first before Set Date & Time. 5.9 Date & Time: Press UP/DOWN to adjust the time and date. Press LEFT/RIGHT to change setting, and press ENTER to save the change. (Time Format: 12/24 hours) 5.10 Firmware Update: Please check Firmware Update from time to time to improve your product with more functionality and stability. Update methods:
Online System will check online, download and install the latest firmware automatically Local Disk Update the firmware manually from local disk or SD card. 5.11 Auto Power-Off: The unit will shut down automatically if no command given within a period of time set by users. Select Close to disable Auto Power-Off function to use Screensaver function (Clock Display). For this portable product, Auto Power-Off function is recommended to save the rechargeable battery power. 5.12 Restore Default Factory Setting: Restores the system to manufacturers default settings. 5.13 About: Firmware version, Model number and Wi-Fi Mac address. TV-Out Troubleshooting Guide 6 6.1 No Screen Display
- Check the connections between the main unit and TV. The AC plug may not be connected properly.
- Check if the Main Unit is powered on.
- Check if the TV is tuned to AV channel. 6.2 No Sound
- Check if the audio plugs and jacks are connected properly and correctly.
- Check if it is in Mute mode. 6.3 Remote control is not working
- Use the remote control within the effective range (6 meters).
- Press the correct button again. 6.4 Cannot connect to Wi-Fi Network
- Check if the Wi-Fi connection is available.
- Check if unit is connected to Wi-Fi connection correctly. Please refer to 4.2 instructions for connecting to a network.
