V1.3 Datasheet PROACTIVE TRANSMITTER BEST-7611 Technical Description:
Transmitter BEST-7611 is equipped with a large button for transmitting alarms and an integrated red/green LED to indicate the status. In the patient/resident design the unit is also equipped with a battery saver function & battery alarm. BEST-7611 is available in several different designs. BEST-7611C Proactive Transmitter with Clip BEST-7611W Proactive Transmitter with Armband BEST-7611N Proactive Transmitter with Necklace Function:
Alarm:
Activate the unit by pressing the red button. A red LED flashes on the transmitter while alarm transmissions are in progress. A green LED flashes on the transmitter for approx. 3 seconds
(acknowledgement) when the receiver confirms alarm reception. Battery saver function:
If the unit is set for the patient/resident function the battery saver function is activated after the receiver has accepted an alarm. This means a transmitter cannot be activated repeatedly unnecessarily. The transmitter must be unactuated for 8 seconds to be able to transmit again. Note that this function is only activated when an alarm has truly reached a receiver. This is to fulfill the highest possible security. Battery alarm:
The condition of the battery is checked in connection with alarm transmissions. If the battery starts to run down this is indicated on the transmitter by the LED (red) flashing rapidly for 10 seconds. A poor battery is also indicated on the receiver BEST-9616/9816 through the red LED flashing rapidly until the alarm is reset on the room panel. Battery replacement:
Replace the battery as soon as the transmitter flashes battery alarm. Replace the battery once a year irrespective of whether the battery alarm has been indicated or not, this is to guarantee good functionality. 1. Remove the 3 screws at the rear of the transmitter (Torx TX5), and lift off the bottom section. 2. Remove the transmitters circuit card with its integrated battery holder. 3. Slide out the battery using e.g. a small screwdriver. 4. Replace the battery with a new (CR2032). Exercise care with the battery polarity. 5. Reassemble the transmitter in the same way as it was dismantled. The battery's positive (+) terminal must face upward. Slide in/out the battery here. The battery is marked with a (+) on the positive terminal.
