............................................................................................ 72 3 CP880+CR650 CHAPTER 1: Introduction 1 Introduction to Outdoor CPE with Router Congratulations on your purchase of the CP880+CR650 (Outdoor 4G/LTE Router). It includes two parts, an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. ODU can provide strong accessibility to the LTE network, and has been designed to meet industrial-grade IP67 dustproof and waterproof standard. Router is a wireless device which can provide ODU power supply. ODU with Router in combination is the ideal solution for residential LTE network. In addition to outdoor, it can be installed in environments such as: manufacturing plants, industrial automation, stadiums, convention halls, stadium facilities, school campuses or virtually any venue requiring a robust wireless solution. 2 Application Diagram 4 CP880+CR650 CHAPTER 2: Product Overview 1 Important Note for Using This Router 1, Do not remove, open or repair the case yourself. Contact with your Internet Service Provider or have it repaired at a qualified service center. 2, Do not plug and unplug SIM card when device is power on. 3, It is mandatory to earth ground the CP880+CR650. Improper grounding not only could damage the unit but also all equipments connected to it. 2 Packing List 5 3 Device Description 3.1 Panel of router CP880+CR650 Router LED indicator operation 3.2 Panel of ODU ODU LED indicator operation 6 CP880+CR650 7 CP880+CR650 CHAPTER 3: Hardware Installation Please make sure that you are familiar with all accident prevention and Safety procedures necessary for working at height and with electricity before start to install the device. DO NOT install the ODU during a lightning storm. 1 Install SIM Cards Step1 Use a cross screwdriver to remove the SIM card cover. Step2 Slide the SIM cards into the SIM card slots until they click into place. When the device is powered on or reboots, it automatically connects to the network. Step3 Re-attach the cover. i Make sure the ODU is turned off before you insert your SIM card. It is recommended to NOT connect the PoE cable when you do this step. Otherwise, the SIM card may be damaged. 2 Connect the Router to ODU Place a CAT5e Ethernet cable from the location of your intended Router to the desired ODU location. The maximum distance of the CAT5e cable is limited to 50 meters. If you use cable extenders to cover a greater distance, signal attenuation may occur. If you intend to use cable clamps or other methods to secure the cable, do not tighten them until you nish installing the Router and ODU. 8 CP880+CR650 Step 1 CAT5e cable to thread through the cable glands. Step 2 Connect the end of the CAT5e Ethernet cable to the PoE port of the ODU. Step 3 Wring the cable glands into ODU and seal tightly. Make sure you have inserted the SIM card into the ODU. 3 Mount the ODU See the installation instructions to mount the ODU correctly 3.1 Cable glands Connection Cable glands are tools which are vital when terminating cables in harsh or hazardous settings. Its role is to safely pass a tube, wire, or cable through an enclosure. They also act as a seal, stopping exterior impurities from causing any damage to the electrical system and the cable. Below will help you make sure that the installation of your cable gland guarantees a reliable and safe connection. Step 1 Assemble M25 cable gland Step 2 Unscrew the LAN (PoE) port and insert the supplied outdoor Ethernet cable (RJ-45) through material A-C, and then connect the RJ-45 Ethernet cable into the LAN (PoE) port. 9 CP880+CR650 Step 3:
3.1: Insert B at the back end of C 3.2: keep B close to C 3.3: then tighten A 1, Care must be taken to prevent damage to the entry threads when organizing and installing cable glands 2, Dont install cable glands while the circuits are live. 3, Cable gland parts arent well-matched with those of any other manufacturer of cable gland. 4, Take note that a cable gland isnt a user-serviceable item. 5, Cable gland sealing rings are added in the cable gland if dispatched from the factory. 3.2 Attach the Stainless-steel clamp to the Enclosure Using a screwdriver to loosen the metal hose clampsthrough the terminal equipment mounting hole, the metal hose clamps and the pole is fixed;

(The built-in antenna is not recommended for wall hanging type, preferred to use Pole mounting method, it can be convenient to adjust the direction of the antenna.) When the ODU terminal is hanging on the wall, the specific mounting as follows:
When install ODU on the wall, fixed four screws spacing is 68mm on wall, then the terminal equipment aligns the screws. Hang up and complete the installation. Mounting on a Pole Attach the Stainless-steel clamp to the pole which is smaller than 57mm. 11 CP880+CR650 4 Choose Location The ODU can be mounted on an antenna pole or mast or on a wall using the supplied mounting bracket. Choose a mounting point that is sturdy enough to hold the ODU, even during high winds. When choosing a location to install the ODU, please be noted that the ODUs front panel should point towards your service providers nearest base station. You do not need to be able to see the base station from the ODUs position. However, if you experience difficulties with signal reception, a Line of Sight (LoS) connection may produce better results. It is suggested that you transport the ODU to its intended installation location in its original protective package. To obtain the best radio signal level and connection quality, the CPE antenna should be aimed towards the best eNB or BS directly. To search for the best eNB direction, the user can rotate the CPE slowly and tilte CPE slightly to the best signal direction. The CPE radio signal strength level can be observed from the RF LEDs mounted on the lower panel as shown below. The more LEDs on, the better the signal strength. 12 CP880+CR650 5 Connect the Router Place a CAT5e Ethernet cable (not included) from the location of your intended Router to the desired PC location. If you intend to use cable clamps or other methods to secure the cable, do not tighten them until you nish installing the Router and ODU. 13 CP880+CR650 CHAPTER 4: Software Features 1 Getting Started 1.1 Welcome to the CPE In this document, the LTE (Long Term Evolution) CPE (customer premises equipment) will be replaced by the CPE. Carefully read the following safety symbols to help you use your CPE safely and correctly:

The following procedure describes how to use a computer running Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7.0 to log in to the web management page of the CPE. Connect the CPE properly. 1. 2. shown in Figure 1-1. Launch Internet Explorer, enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar, and press Enter. As Enter the user name and password, and click Log In. Figure 0-1 3. 4. 1-2. You can log in to the web management page after the password is verified. As shown in Figure Figure 0-2 The default user name and password are both admin. If you want to view or configure the CPE more, you should use the super account to log in to the web management page. The default super user name is superadmin, and the password is admin. To protect your CPE from unauthorized access, change the password after your first login. The CPE supports diagnostic function. If you encounter problems, please contact customer service for the specific using method. 15 To ensure your data safety, it is recommended that you turn on the firewall, and conserve your login and FTP password carefully. CP880+CR650 16 CP880+CR650 2 Overview 2.1 Viewing Current Connection To view the current connection, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Overview;
2. In the Current Connection area, view the connection status, such as DL/UL Data Rate and Online time. As shown in Figure 2-1. Figure 0-3 2.2 Viewing WLAN Status To view the WLAN status, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Overview;
2. In the WLAN Status area, view the information about WLAN status, Band, Chanel NO. and Mode. As shown in Figure 2-2. Figure 0-2 17 CP880+CR650 2.3 Viewing LTE Status To view the LTE network status, perform the following steps:

2. In the WAN Status area, view the information about Connect Mode, IP, Subnet Mask, DNS Server and so on. As shown in Figure 2-4. Figure 2-4 18 CP880+CR650 3 Statistics 3.1 Viewing CPU Usage To view the CPU usage, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Statistics;
2. In the CPU Usage area, view the CPU usage information, such as Current CPU usage, Max CPU usage, Min CPU usage. As shown in Figure 3-1. Figure 3-1 3.2 Viewing Memory Usage To view the memory usage, perform the following steps:

CP880+CR650 3.3 Viewing APN List To view the APN list, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Statistics;
2. In the APN List, view the information about APN information. As shown in Figure 3-3. Figure 3-3 3.4 Viewing Throughput Statistics To view the Throughput Statistics, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Statistics;
2. In the Throughput Statistics area, view the throughput statistics, such as APN throughput and LAN throughput. In this area, also you can choose and click the button Reset to empty the throughput statistics. As shown in Figure 3-4. 3. Figure 3-4 3.5 Viewing Device List To view the device list, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Statistics;
2. In the Device List area, view the device information which connect to the CPE, such as Device name, Mac address, IP address and Lease time. As shown in Figure 3-5. Figure 3-5 20 CP880+CR650 4 Update 4.1 Version Manager This function enables you to upgrade the software version of the CPE to a new version. Viewing Version Info To view the version info, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Update>Version Manager. 2. In the Version Info area, you can view the product name and software version. As shown in Figure 4-1. Figure 4-1 Version Upgrade To perform an upgrade successfully, connect the CPE to your computer through a network cable, save the upgrade file on the computer, and make sure the CPE is not connected to anything other than a power adapter and the computer. To perform an upgrade, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Update>Version Manager. 2. In the Version Upgrade area, click Browser. In the displayed dialog box, select the target software version file. 3. Click Open. The dialog box choses. The save path and name of the target software version 21 CP880+CR650 file are displayed in the Update file field. 4. Click Submit. 5. The software upgrade starts. After the upgrade, the CPE automatically restarts and runs the new software version. As shown in Figure 4-2. During an upgrade, do not power off the CPE or disconnect it from the computer. Figure 4-2 4.2 Auto upgrade To perform a ftp auto upgrade successfully, make sure the CPE is connected to the Internet. To perform a ftp auto upgrade, perform the following steps:
Choose Update>Auto upgrade. Enable auto upgrade. Check new firmware after connect to Internet. Set the ftp server address to the Upgrade folder box. Set Version file. //This contain the new FW name Set User name and Password. Set the Interval of checking new firmware. //Check upgrade periodic Set Start time. // The time of upgrade begin Set Random time. // Out of this time, UE will not upgrade. 10. Click Submit. As shown in Figure 4-3. If you want to check new firmware after connect to Internet, you need to enable the item of 1, The CPE will automatically upgrade according to the setting. During an upgrade, do not disconnect the power supply or operate the CPE. 2, If set interval of checking new FW, the start time and random time will shouldnt be set. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 22 CP880+CR650 Figure 4-3 23 CP880+CR650 5 Settings 5.1 Viewing the Device Information To view the System Information, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Settings;
2. In the System Information area, view the system status, such as Running time. As shown in Figure 5-1. Figure 5-4 Viewing the Version Information To view the Version Information, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Settings;
2. In the Device Information area, view the device information, such as Product name, Product Model, Hardware Version, Software version, UBoot version and CPE SN . As shown in Figure 5-2. Viewing LAN Status Figure 5-5 24 To view the LAN status, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Settings;
2. In the LAN Status area, view the LAN status, such as Mac address, IP address and Subnet mask. As shown in Figure 5-4. CP880+CR650 Figure 5-3 5.2 Viewing Network 5.2.1 Network Mode 1. To set the network mode, perform the following steps:

2. 3. In the Settings area, you can set the configuration of LTE network;
In the Status area, you can view the LTE network connect status, such as Frequency, RSSI, RSRP, RSRQ, CINR, SINR, Cell ID and so on. As shown in Figure 5-5. 25 CP880+CR650 Figure 5-5 Connect Method Setting To set the connect method, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network > LTE Settings;
2. In the Setting area, select a connect method between Auto and Manual. As shown in Figure 5-6. Figure 5-6 Auto Connect LTE Network To set the CPE automatically connect to the internet, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network > LTE Settings;
2. In the Setting area, set the connect method as Auto. When the LTE network is ready, the CPE will be connected automaticity. As shown in Figure 5-7. 26 CP880+CR650 Figure 5-7 Manual Connect Mobile Network To set the mobile network manual connect to the internet, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network > LTE Settings;
2. In the Setting area, set the connect method as Manual, when the LTE network is ready, you can set the CPE connect to the LTE network or disconnect from the LTE network. As shown in Figure 5-8. 27 CP880+CR650 Figure 5-8 5.2.3 Scan Mode This function is used to config UE mode of scan network. The default scan mode is fullband. To set the LTE network scan mode, perform the following steps:
1. 2. choose Network>Scan mode;
If select Bandlock, UE will only connect to the checked bands. Others will not be scanned. 3. Click Submit. 28 CP880+CR650 Figure 5-9 Setting Frequency (Earfcn) To set the frequency, perform the following steps:
1 Choose Network>Scan Mode. 2 In the Scan Mode area, choose EARFCN Lock. 3 In the EARFCN Lock area, you can set an EARFCN, then click Add to add it to the EARFCN lock list. 4 Click Submit. As shown in Figure 5-10. Figure 5-10 Setting PCI LOCK To set the pci lock perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network>Scan Mode. 2. In the Scan Mode area, choose PCI Lock. 29 3. In the PCI Lock area, you can set EARFCN and PCI of the cell, then click Add to add it to the PCI lock list. 4. Click Submit. As shown in Figure 5-11. CP880+CR650 Figure 5-11 5.2.4 APN Management To set and manage APN, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network>APN Management. 2. 3. Choose an APN number which you want to set, there are 4 APNs selected. 4. In the APN Management area, you can set the APN. In the APN Setting area you can set the APN parameters, such as enable or disable the APN, APN name, profile name. Set the authentication type (chap or pap or none) and the username, password of it. Set the PDN type: IPv4 or IPv6 or IPv4/v6 dual stack. 5. 6. 7. Click Submit. As shown in Figure 5-12. If you want set an APN as default gateway, you should check that is enabled. And we can also set the APN apply to SNMP or TR069. Figure 5-12 30 CP880+CR650 5.2.5 PIN Management To manage the PIN, you can perform the following operations on the PIN Management page:
Enable or disable the PIN verification. Verify the PIN. Change the PIN. Set automatic verification of the PIN. As shown in Figure 5-13 Figure 5-13 Viewing the Status of the USIM Card To view the status of the USIM card, perform the following steps:
1 Choose Network >PIN Management. 2 View the status of the USIM card in the USIM card status field. Enabling PIN Verification To enable PIN verification, perform the following steps:
1 Choose Network >PIN Management. 2 Set PIN verification to Enable. 3 Enter the PIN (4 to 8 digits) in the Enter PIN box. 4 Click Submit. Disabling PIN Verification To disable PIN verification, perform the following steps:
1 Choose Network >PIN Management. 2 Set PIN verification to Disable. 3 Enter the PIN (4 to 8 digits) in the Enter PIN box. 4 Click Submit. Verifying the PIN If PIN verification is enabled but the PIN is not verified, the verification is required. To verify the PIN, perform the following steps:
1 Choose Network >PIN Management. 31 CP880+CR650 2 Enter the PIN (4 to 8 digits) in the PIN box. 3 Click Submit. Changing the PIN The PIN can be changed only when PIN verification is enabled and the PIN is verified. To change the PIN, perform the following steps:
1 Choose Network>PIN Management. 2 Set PIN verification to Enable. 3 Set Change PIN to Enable. 4 Enter the current PIN (4 to 8 digits) in the PIN box. 5 Enter a new PIN (4 to 8 digits) in the New PIN box. 6 Repeat the new PIN in the Confirm PIN box. 7 Click Submit. Setting Automatic Verification of the PIN You can enable or disable automatic verification of the PIN. If automatic verification is enabled, the CPE automatically verifies the PIN after restarting. This function can be enabled only when PIN verification is enabled and the PIN is verified. 1 To enable automatic verification of the PIN, perform the following steps:
2 Choose Network > PIN Management. 3 Set Pin verification to Enable. 4 Set Remember my PIN to Enable. 5 Click Submit. Verifying the PUK If PIN verification is enabled and the PIN fails to be verified for three consecutive times, the PIN will be locked. In this case, you need to verify the PUK and change the PIN to unlock it. To verify the PUK, perform the following steps:
Choose Network> PIN Management. Enter the PUK in the PUK box. Enter a new PIN in the New PIN box. 4. Repeat the new PIN in the Confirm PIN box. Click Submit. 1. 2. 3. 5.2.6 Dual SIM If you have insert two SIM card in device, and want to exchange them. Please click here to switch them. As shown in Figure 5-14 32 CP880+CR650 Figure 5-14 5.2.7 SIM Lock If you want to connect a specify network, and the CPE cant connect other network, you can set a SIM lock. To set the SIM lock, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network>SIM Lock. 2. 3. Click add to add the PLMN in the lock list. 4. Click Submit. As shown in Figure 5-15. Input the PLMN you want to lock in the PLMN box. 5.2.8 LAN Setting Figure 5-15 Setting LAN Host Parameters By default, the IP address is 192.168.0.1 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. You can change the host IP address to another individual IP address that is easy to remember. Make sure that IP address is unique on your network. If you change the IP address of the CPE, you need to access the web management page with the new IP address. To change the IP address of the CPE, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Network>LAN Settings. 2. In the LAN Host Settings area, set IP address and subnet mask. 33 In the DHCP Setting area, set the DHCP server to Enable. 3. 4. Click Submit. As shown in Figure 5-16. CP880+CR650 Configuration the DHCP Server Figure 5-16 DHCP enables individual clients to automatically obtain TCP/IP configuration when the server powers on. You can configure the CPE as a DHCP server or disable it. When configured as a DHCP server, the CPE automatically provides the TCP/IP configuration for the LAN clients that support DHCP client capabilities. If DHCP server services are disabled, you must have another DHCP server on your LAN, or each client must be manually configured. To configure DHCP settings, perform the following steps:
1. 2. 3. Choose Network Setting > LAN Settings. Set the DHCP server to Enable. Set Start IP address. they must be on the same network segment. 4. Set End IP address. they must be on the same network segment. 5. Set Lease time. value. 6. Click Submit. As shown in Figure 5-17. This IP address must be different from the IP address set on the LAN Host Settings area, but This IP address must be different from the IP address set on the LAN Host Settings area, but Lease time can be set to 1 to 10,080 minutes. If Security is set to NONE (not recommended), Wi-Fi clients directly connect to the CPE. This Firewall level is low. If Security is set to WEP, Wi-Fi clients connect to the CPE in web-based encryption mode. If Security is set to WPA-PSK, Wi-Fi clients connect to the CPE in WPA-PSK encryption mode. If Security is set to WPA2-PSK, Wi-Fi clients connect to the CPE in WPA2-PSK encryption mode. This mode is recommended because it has a high Firewall level. If Security is set to WPA-PSK & WPA2-PSK, Wi-Fi clients connect to the CPE in WPA-PSK&WPA2-PSK encryption mode. 7. Set the encryption mode. To configure Wi-Fi MAC control settings, perform the following steps:
1. Choose Wi-Fi > Access Management. 2. In the WLAN Access List Settings area, set Access Policy. 3. The access policy can be set to Disable, Blacklist or Whitelist. If SSID's MAC Access is set to Disable, access restrictions do not take effect. If SSID's MAC Access is set to Blacklist, only the devices that are not in the blacklist can connect to the CPE. If SSID's MAC Access is set to Whitelist, only the devices in the whitelist can connect to the CPE. 4. Click Submit. 1. Choose System>Account. 2. Select the user name, if you want to change the password of normal user, you need to set Enable User enable. 3. Make sure that the power cable is connected properly and the CPE is powered on. Make sure that the power adapter is compatible with the CPE. Fails to Log in to the web management page. Make sure that the CPE is started. Verify that the CPE is correctly connected to the computer through a network cable. If the problem persists, contact authorized local service suppliers. The CPE fails to search for the wireless network. Check that the power adapter is connected properly. Check that the CPE is placed in an open area that is far away from obstructions, such as concrete or wooden walls. Check that the CPE is placed far away from household electrical appliances that generate strong electromagnetic field, such as microwave ovens, refrigerators, and satellite dishes. If the problem persists, contact authorized local service suppliers. The power adapter of the CPE is overheated. The CPE will be overheated after being used for a long time. Therefore, power off the CPE when you are not using it. Check that the CPE is properly ventilated and shielded from direct sunlight. The parameters are restored to default values. If the CPE powers off unexpectedly while being configured, the parameters may be restored to the default settings. After configuring the parameters, download the configuration file to quickly restore the CPE to the desired settings. 71 CP880+CR650 FCC Regulations:
