Replace the battery by gently pushing out the old battery from the battery slot and replacing it with a new battery. NOTE. Using CR2023 and BR2023 batteries for the best controller performance. Passcode ON or OFF By default, the CarHome Button Remote is set to passcode OFF. If you want to turn the passcode ON, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the button (about 6 seconds) until the LED blinks quickly. Then release the button the LED turns off. 2. Enter your password. If this is the first time passcode is turned ON the default factory password is 222 ( press the button 3 times ) 3. Press the button to confirm. The LED will blink 1 time if your password is correct and the LED will blink 3 times if your password is incorrect. To turn OFF the passcode, repeat the steps above. Change passcode Only change the passcode while the HB-318 has passcode ON. 1. Press and hold the button (about 10 seconds) until the LED blinks slowly. Then release the button the LED will turn off. 2. Enter your old password (Ex. 222), then press the button to confirm. If the entered passcode is correct the LED will blink 1 time then you enter your new passcode and press button to confirm. The LED will blink 1 time if the password was changed successfully. If the entered passcode is incorrect the LED will blink 3 times and exit the setup program. The passcode can be 2 to 8 digits. Number 1 is button. Number 2 is button.
