Welcome to TransPhone. This Quick Start guide tells you how to set up your TransPhone and use its key features. Once youre up and calling, you can learn even more about TransPhone at http://www.transphone.cn. TransPhone Overview Front Camera Receiver Distance/ Light sensor Touch Screen Menu Button Search Button Volume Up/Down Button Microphone Basics On/Off Button To turn the TransPhone on, press and hold the On/Off Button for 3 seconds. To turn the TransPhone off, press and hold the On/Off Button for 3 seconds until the popup menu appears. Select Power off. Then select OK. To lock the TransPhone, press the On/Off Button. Using apps Add app icons to the home screen Multitasking Making a call Send messages Input method Tap the Home Button to go to the home screen to see your apps, then tap an app icon. Or, open the Applications List by tapping at the bottom of home screen. Swipe up and down to scroll in Smartphone Mode, or swipe left and right to scroll in Tablet Mode. Search for your desired app, then tap the app icon to open it. Customize each modes home screen to your liking. In Smartphone Mode, tap at the bottom of the home screen to open the Applications List. Press and hold the app icon for 2 seconds until the home screen appears, then drag the app icon to the desired location. In Tablet Mode, tap at the bottom of the home screen to open the applications list. Press and hold the app icon and drag it to the Move to Screen bar, then drag the app icon to the desired location. While calling, you can access email, documents or other applications, and even surf the web (Wifi or mobile data network connection needed.) To switch apps, go to the home screen, then tap the app you want to open. Or press and hold the Home Button for 2 seconds and switch to recently used apps. Tap phone . Manually dial the number to make a call. You may also tap a contact name or number in your contacts or search, then tap to call that contact. Tap End to end the call. To receive a call in Tablet Mode, you can use the speaker-
phone, earphones or a Bluetooth headset. Or, undock the TransPhone from the tablet to answer the call directly. Note:
When the TransPhone is in Tablet Mode, you can undock the phone to continue your previous task at any time. Or press the On/Off Button to hang up and transform to Smartphone Mode. Tap the Messaging >New message. Type a name or phone number in the To field or select someone from your contacts and write your message, then tap Send. Or tap Back Button to save as a draft. To send photos, tap the Menu Button and select Attach in the popup menu. To delete or forward a message, press and hold your finger on the text, then tap Delete message or Forward. To change the input method, press and hold the text box on the screen, then tap Input method to show all possible input methods. (To enable an installed input method, go to Settings>Language & keyboard, then tap the input method you wish to select.) Dock the TransPhone into the tablet. Tap Select word to select part of the text or tap Select all to select the entire text. To set up an email account directly on your TransPhone, use Email. In the initial setup, just follow the system instructions to add email account. Note: If you are unable to setup your email properly, please try changing your email port settings. You might want to disable the data connection to conserve battery life or restrict data access. When turning off your data connection, you might not receive emails and other messages that require data. Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks. Tap Data enabled to enable data access over Mobile network. Tap to view your photos and videos. When viewing photos, webpages, email, or maps, you can zoom in and out by pinching your fingers together or apart. You can also set a photo as wallpaper or a portrait of certain contact. If you want to play a video file (not in mp4 format,) please use the ES File Explorer application to setup MoboPlayer, which is stored in the SD card. Tap to browse, download or setup over 100,000 applications, including games, e-books, videos, traffic navigation, and more. In order to use the TransPhone easily, we recommend the following apps and store them in the SD card. You can use ES File Explorer application to search for the installation file (.apk) and setup the program. Cut, copy and paste Press and hold the selected text, and a menu will pop up. Tap Cut or Copy, the selected text is copied to the clipboard. Press and hold the insertion point and tap Paste. The last text that you cut or copied is inserted. Or select text and tap Paste to replace the text. Connecting to Wi-Fi WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) Go to Settings > Wireless & networks> WLAN settings. The available wireless hotspots will be listed. Tap the wireless hotspot you wish to connect to and tap Connect. If the wireless hotspot requires a password, please follow the system instructions to enter the password. Taking photos Tap to take a photo and capture the beauty in your life!

Surfing the web To surf the web, tap . Enter a web address in the title bar, then tap -> to start surfing the web. When viewing photos, webpages, email, or maps, you can zoom in and out by pinching your fingers together or apart. Rotate the TransPhone and the display rotates to match your orientation. Your screen will also automatically adjust to fit the new orientation. Dock the TransPhone into the tablet to instantly quadruple your TransPhones screen size and surf the web with amazing clarity!
Themes Bigger screen, more interesting! In Tablet Mode, tap Theme setting on the home screen menu, and you can switch between different themes. keyboard Accessibility Date & time About Phone Transforming between modes When transforming from Smartphone Mode to Tablet Mode, push out the Phone Sliding Dock, then put the phone into it to dock the TransPhone . Note: insert the male data connector of the tablet into the female data connector of the TransPhone with a slight push. Do not undock the TransPhone while transforming. When transforming from Tablet Mode to Smartphone Mode, pull out the Phone Sliding Dock and undock the TransPhone. The TransPhone will automatically transform to Smartphone Mode. Do not dock the TransPhone again while transforming. Note: if your tablet battery is low, the TransPhone will vibrate when docked into the tablet and will not transform into Tablet Mode. Please charge the tablet beforehand. Charging your TransPhone The TransPhone and the tablet can be connected to a power outlet and charged using the Dock Connector to USB Cable and USB power adapter. You may also dock the TransPhone into the tablet and turn on the charge phone battery switch. The tablet will then charge the phone. At the same time, the tablet can also be connected and charged to a power outlet. To charge the Phone battery: connect the Phone to your computer using the Dock Connector to USB Cable. The tablet cannot be charged by USB through the computer. Note: Switch the Charge Phone Battery switch logo off when unused for battery saving. The following times is needed to be fully charged.
