Introduction The 2.4 Ghz Wireless PoE Gateway is utilized in installations using 2.4 Ghz Wireless Active RFID Tag Devices and Network Manager System Software. Each Gateway is provided power over Ethernet and installed in fixed locations within a facility where inventory tracking is desired. The Gateway uses proprietary communication protocols and can operate in the presence of WiFi without interference to the WiFi or Gateway device. Gateway Installation Gatewaysare intended for installation on exposed spider beams within a commercial warehouse, consult factory for other installation applications. Gateways are distributed on a grid type distribution in Warehouse ceiling at spacings of 30 to 50 feet in each direction. Beam Clamp 3048T61 and -13 Bolt are user supplied. Locate the Gateway Mounting Bracket with Mounting Hole. a) b) Affix a Beam Clamp (McMaster: 3048T61 or eq.)to Gateway using a -13 Bolt or threaded rod, thread locker is recommended on threads entering the Beam Clamp. (Beam Clamp, -13 Bolt and Thread locker sold separately) c) Affix Beam Clamp to exposed spider beam and tighten clamp on beam. d) Connect facility PoE Cat 5e Ethernet Cable to rear of Gateway port shown below. Gateways will have to be configured through the Network Manager Software. Full details for Gateway Activation are found in the Network Manager Software User Manual.
