2. Connecting the Access Point Connect your hardware and boot up
* Connect the Ethernet cable to the AP's Ethernet port. Then connect the Ethernet cable to a switch, instead of a hub, for optimum performance
* Connect the power adapter to the AP's power port and plug the other end into a power outlet. The red power LED will illuminate as soon as the power adapter is connected.
* Check the Ethernet LED. The LED will be illuminated if the Ethernet is ready.
* Press the reset button on the back of the AP to restore the default settings into Bridging Mode or Routing Mode (see pages 3 & 4).
* Awireless connection now can be used to access the AP. Factory Default Settings Bridging Mode
* Bluetooth Client's IP: From DHCP server on your local LAN
* Configure IP: 192.168.0.99 / 255.255.255.0. You can configure the AP from your local LAN area. Routing Mode
* Ethernet IP: Enable DHCP client; if there are no DHCP servers, it will set to 192.168.0.99 / 255.255.255.0 after the DHCP request times out (about 90 seconds).
* Bluetooth Client's IP: From DHCP server on AP DHCP server assigns IP's range: 192.168.2.100~200 / 255,255.255.0
* Configure IP: 192.168.2.1. You can configure the AP from the Bluetooth client only. AP's user login name & password After you restore to the default settings, the administrator's name of this AP is:

Configuring the Access Point This section will show you how to configure the Bluetooth PAN Access Point to function in your network. Make sure your PC's IP is on the same segment as the AP's configure IP. Open your web browser, and enter 192.168.0.99 (Bridging Mode) or 192.168.2.1 (Routing Mode) into the web browser's address field, as shown in Figure 3-1. In case you forget to leave the web configuration, the system will automatically cancel the login process after 3 minutes. You will have to login to the page again to finish any uncompleted tasks. Change User & Password In order for you to access the web configuration and prevent others from changing the import information, we strongly recommend you change the user ID and password. 1. According to the leftmost User List, you can add at most 4 users who are able to access the web configuration by selecting the Add option. Enter User (at most 32 words), and Password (at most 16 characters). 3, There are three levels of authority for web login users to configure the AP. First Level: The user of this level has all authority to configure all settings of the AP. Second Level: The user of this level can configure all settings of the AP except for configuring users and Bluetooth settings. The following settings are required for a basic routing network:

1. Click the General Configuration in the Index page. By default, it shows the Networking page. The Web is shown in Figure 3-5. 2. On the second block, select PPPoE and click the Advanced button. The Dynamic-IP page appears as shown in Figure 3-7. Follow the instruction of your local ISP and have all required information written into the corresponding fields. 3. Click the Apply button to save the settings. The system will store all parameters and automatically return to the Networking page. If you are not sure about the settings, click Cancel button, which leaves the previous parameters and returns to the Networking page. 4, Re-enter the Dynami AP page by clicking the Advanced button on the second block. 5. By checking Enable Auto Dial check box (be sure to have correct User ID and Password), the system will automatically dial up to the ISP as long as at least one PAN user connects to the AP. 6. _ Click Dial button. On the left area, you see the dialing status. Note: If you can not get connected to the ISP, check the DSL/Cable modem to see if it is on the connection state.
