-- 7 -/28 3. Getting Started 3.1. Common Operation The followings are key explanation for common operation.
[NUMERIC] means number keys [0]~[9]. In this manual is explained mainly operation of remote control key.
[FUNC] key works to exit in every menu.
[FUNC] key will be activated as a long key by pressing longer than 1 second.
[FUNC] key and [NUMERIC] key for combination need to be pressed one to another button within 3 second.(Lock, Skip, CH/CAT) After 3 second [FUNC] key will be canceled.
[OK] key works like select key in all menus.
- The display recover to default screen if any key input has been made for 10 sec. in the list. 3.1.1. Power On
- Remote, Front face : [POWER] button
- When you Power On, displays SIRIUS logo and WELCOME! message.
It reads Last Condition Memory.

- Remote [POWER] / Front face : [POWER Long Key]
- Displays BLAUPUNKT logo and GoodBye! message. 3.1.3. Tuning status Display Information CAT mark (in, Category Mode)
- Category Name

- Channel Number and Channel Name
- Scroll PDT information display(Artist Name and Title Song)

-- 9 -/28 3.1.4. Tuning Status Message If no antenna connected and no signal in then Antenna Error message will be popped up. If antenna connected but no signal in then Acquiring message will be displayed. If the set is getting tried to have signal then Acquiring Signal message will be displayed. If try a channel not subscribed with Direct Number Input then screen shows Call 1-888-539-
Sirius to subscribe message. If try invalid channel with Direct Number Input then screen shows Invalid Channel message.
3.1.5. Update (GSV, PSV) Message
- When Channel Map (GSV : GCI Status Vector) changed, Updating Channels message will be poped up. When update 100% completed, automatically tune all valid channels. If updates can be done instantly then no message will be popped up but doing valid channel tune.

If subscription map (PSV : Program Subscription Vector) changed, then Subscription Updated message will be popped up for 3 seconds. 3.1.6. Change Band 3 band of Preset are available.
[BAND] key is to change band. ex) B1->B2->B3->B1->
3.1.7. Direct Number Input
[DIRECT] key is to change to Direct Number Input Mode. In this mode you can input channel

In case of choosing Invalid channel displays as in the picture above Invalid Channel message for a second then disappear this message and go back to last tuning channel.
If try a channel not subscribed then screen shows Call 1-888-539-Sirius to subscribe message and does not tune the channel. If you input number over 223 displays message Exceed 223 for 1 second then disappear and go back to last tuning channel.
Input 000 to see SIRIUS ID.
-- 12 -/28 3.1.8. Favorite Channel 3.1.8.1. Preset
- Using [BAND] key select a band to preset, and input number that you want to store using
([NUMERICLong key] . Unsubscribed Channels can not be set in preset channel.
- There are 3 band, and each one can be stored 10 channels.
- Preset information is displayed in Tuning mode Right side, Upper part of the display LCD. ex)B1-1
[0] means 10, the channel stored in 0 will be shown as B1-10
3.1.8.2. Recall
- Select the band using [BAND] key which includes channel to Recall then press number that channel is stored using ([NUMERIC] key).
- There are 3 band and each one can store 10 channels.
- Recall channel information is shown in Tuning Mode right & upper part of the Display LCD ex)B3-5
[0] means number 10, if you recall 0 it displays as B1-10
3.1.8.3. Favorite List

[BAND-Long key] displays Favorite List. In Favorite List input [BAND] key to change Favorite List. (Favorite 1->Favorite 2-> Favorite 3-
>Favorite 1->)
- Favorite List are 3 in total and each one contains 10 channels.
In the selected Favorite List has no channel stored displays No Favorite Channel message. 3.1.9. PDT(Program Descriptive Text or Program Display Text) Information 3.1.9.1. Preset
- Press [MEM] key to store PDT of the channel in tuning.
10 PDT information can be saved.
- Numbers of stored PDT will be displayed(ex : 08/10) then shows the message Stored
If the PDT has been stored already then displays Already In Memory .

If all capacity 10 memories are full displays Memory Full then pops the menu to Replace or Cancel.
- You can Replace the information instead of selected information. Select a list first, Artist List then select the number to overwrite, press [OK]key to complete storaging of information. Do the same steps to replace information in Song list. Select Cancel menu to cancel storing PDT and go back to tuning mode.
- PDT will be scrolled automatically after 2 sec in case it is too long. 3.1.9.2. Recall

- Press [MEM-Long] key to recall PDT information(Artist Name & Song Title).
In the right/upper part shows PDT information index no./total PDT numbers stored.
[CHUP]/[CHDN] key are to search Next/Previous informations. 3.1.9.3. Horizontal Scroll Function In Tuning Mode displays Artist Name and Song Title. If the information is too long to display in one line it automatically scrolls information in order to show all information. If you press [DISP] key The display type changes to a Large Font showing Artist Name and song title both in each line and scrolls horizontally.
-- 16 -/28 3.1.10. List 3.1.10.1. Channel List
It shows valid and subscribed channel only. In Tuning Mode press [OK] key to see Channel List.(Move to Channel List by pressing [DISP]
key if the last mode is not Channel List) In one page is shown 4 channel.
- Search the channel for tuning using [CHUP]/[CHDN] key then press [OK] key . 3.1.10.2. Category List In Tuning Mode [CATUP]/[CATDN] keys are to display channel list of same category in tuning. It shows valid and subscribed channel only. In the upper part shows Category Name and displays 4 channels in a page.
[CHUP]/[CHDN] key are to search channel for Tuning select the channel with [OK] key.
[CATUP]/[CATDN] key are also used for changing category.
- Category List is as maximum 12 categories and is displayed only if the category has at least one channel. With [CATUP]/[CATDN] key display category.
- Each Category can contained as maximum 24 channels.
-- 17 -/28 3.1.10.3. PDT List (Artist or Song Title) If you press [DISP] key when you were in Channel List or Category List, then toggles the list.

If you press [OK]key in the List tunes the selected channel, if you press [FUNC]key returns to the channel that was tuning.
- PDT will be scrolled automatically after 2 sec in case it is too long. 3.2. Main Setup Menu 3.2.1. Main Menu

3.2.2. Channel Mode
[OK] key is used for select menu to change Channel Mode. In Channel Mode you can use [CHUP]/[CHDN] key to change other (Valid & Subscribe) Channel. 3.2.3. Category Mode
- With [OK] key select this menu to switch to Category Mode. In Category Mode with [CHUP]/[CHDN] key you can change to other (Valid & Subscribe) channel within the same Category. CAT is shown in the upper part when is Tuning in Category Mode.

- Enter current password.
- Enter new password. Input wrong password then go back to main menu.
Input again to confirm. Changed Password message is displayed if the password has changed successfully, otherwise Invalid Password message will be displayed.
- Master Password is 1379.
-- 20 -/28 3.2.5. FM Transmitter
- You can search with [CHUP]/[CHDN] key and select with [OK] key to choose a channel among 13 FM Frequency.
- FM Frequency : FM OFF, 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7, 88.9, 106.7, 106.9, 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, 107.7
- Default Frequency will be routed to FM OFF. 3.2.6. Time Features 3.2.6.1. Clock 3.2.6.1.1. Format

- Time can be shown in two different way 12Hour or 24Hour.
- Default Time Format is based on 12Hour. 3.2.6.1.2. Time Zone
- Select a time zone.
- Default Time Zone is routed to Eastern. 3.2.6.1.3. DST Observance
If you are in a zone of Daylight Savings Time(DST) observe then choose fro this menu

- Default is DST Observed. 3.2.6.2. Auto Shutdown
- Default Setting is set Disablea
- Select Enable to Power Off after one hour without any key input.
- After 59 minutes without pressing any key, pops "Cancel Auto shutdown" message. If the key input was after the message to continue to tune. Time count for auto shutdown reset according every key input. 3.2.6.3. Sleep Mode
- Default Setting is set Off
- Set a Time to Power Off automatically.

[CATUP}/[CATDN] key you can control audio level then press [OK] key to confirm audio level. 3.2.7.2. Display Option

- This menu is to control brightness of back light. There are 5 levels and STEP 1 is the brightest one.
- Default is routed to STEP 1. 3.2.7.2.2. Contrast
- Adjust contrast by [CATUP]/[CATDN] key.
- Press [OK] key to move to previous menu after set Value and press [FUNC] key to move 10 levels are available and the default is 50%. previous set and stay,.

- User Setting information(Lock/Skip/CH Preset/PDT Preset ) can be clear with this menu.
- Press [1] key to clear every user settings, and will be tuning first available channel Press [0] key to go back to Main Menu without deleting user settings. 3.2.9. Factory Default
- Either to clear memory or to set user setting value as a default, the following is default set value.
- Current Channel tunes as a preview channel 184.
- Tune Mode is set Channel Mode.
- FM Transmitter is set OFF.
- Backlight is set Step 1.
- Display Contrast to 50%
- Audio Output Level to -3db
- Eastern time zone
- Daylight savings time observed
- Auto Shutdown is set Disable
- Sleep Mode is set OFF 12 Hour Clock Format.

- Key to lock a channel. (Can not lock the channel not subscribed)
If the channel is used Lock mode press password to be released. In the channel is Released with the key [FUNC]+[1] goes to Setting Mode and you will be required to enter your password. If you want to hear Lock setting Channel Tuning you will be required to enter password.
3.3.2. Skip

[FUNC]+[8] key is to go to the menu for skip option. You can skip specific channels every time you are searching channels. (Can not set to skip the channel not subscribed)
- Skip channels are not available to choose with [CHUP]/[CHDN] only you can choose those channels by using Direct Channel input for Tuning. To cancel this Skip select the channel and press [FUNC]+[2] key to set Release.
- To change Skip to release you will asked to enter password .
3.3.3. CH/CAT Toggle
[FUNC]+[3] key is to switch Channels/Category.
- This option function is to search Channel or Category one after the other.
- Tuning in CH mode [CHUP]/[CHDN] keys are to search all available channels.
- Tuning in CAT mode [CHUP]/[CHDN] keys are to search channels under current category.
