REQUEST FOR LIMITED MODULAR APPROVAL Continental Corporation requests modular transmitter approval for the RCKFBLE module. This letter addresses the numbered requirements below. 1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding. The module is not RF shielded, and thus the manufacturer requests a Limited Modular Approval. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs. The data inputs and outputs are buffered as part of the digital logic circuitry employed by the module. Please see the schematic exhibit for interface details. 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation. The RCKFBLE module employs its own input power regulators. Please see the schematic exhibit for power regulation details. 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204(c). The RCKFBLE module meets the FCC antenna requirements. The RCKFBLE employs only trace antennas which are permanently attached to the module; no connectorized antenna ports are employed. Please see photographs of the module. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration. The RCKFBLE module was tested in a stand-alone configuration. Please see the associated test report for details. 6. The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number. The module is labeled with its own FCC ID: M3N-RCKFBLE number. See label and label location drawing contained in this application. 7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. The RCKFBLE module is compliant with all applicable FCC rules, as detailed in the test report. Instructions for maintaining compliance are provided in the Users Manual exhibit. 8. The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure requirements. The RCKFBLE module meets the requirements of FCC section 15.231 and 15.247. Please see the RF Exposure exhibit provided with this application.
