COMMERCIAL INDUCTION RANGE PLACA DE INDUCCIN COMERCIAL PLAQUE INDUCTION COMMERCIALE WIH400, WIH400B For your safety and continued enjoyment of this product, always read the instruction book carefully before using. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by Waring may cause fire, electric shock, or injury. 8. Do not use outdoors. 9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 10. The Waring Commercial Induction Range should always be on a stable countertop or table. 11. Do not use appliance for other than intended use. 12. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. 13. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. 14. Do no cook on broken cooktop If the glass cooktop should break, cleaning solutions and spillovers may penetrate the broken surface and create a risk of electrical shock. 2 15. Clean cooktop with caution If a wet sponge or cloth is used to wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to avoid steam burn; some cleaners can produce noxious fumes if applied to a hot surface. 16. D o not place metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids on the glass surface since they can get hot. This device complies with part 18 of FCC rules. For your protection, the Waring Commercial Induction Range is equipped with a 3-conductor cord set. 120, 208 and 240 volt units are supplied with a molded 3-prong grounding-type plug and should be used in combination with a properly connected grounding-type outlet, as shown in Figure 1. If a grounding-type outlet is not available, an adapter, shown in Figure 2, may be obtained to enable a 2-slot wall outlet to be used with a 3-prong plug. As shown in Figure 3, the adapter must be grounded by attaching its grounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate. CAUTION: Before using an adapter, it must be determined that the outlet cover plate screw is properly grounded. If in doubt, consult a licensed electrician. Never use an adapter unless you are sure it is properly grounded. NOTE: Use of an adapter is not permitted in Canada. 3 SPECIAL CORD SET INSTRUCTIONS A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled by children or tripped over. * Schott is a trademark of the Schott Corporation. 4 OPERATION NOTE: The Induction Range requires induction-ready cookware. If the pan is not induction ready, it will not register on the induction range. The LCD display will show ----- and STANDBY will flash (as seen in figure 1) when attempting to select a heat mode without an induction-ready pan on the glass cooking surface. The unit will automatically shut off after 60 seconds of not having an induction-ready pot/pan. 1. Before turning on the power, make sure the cookware is Figure 1 on the ceramic cooking surface. Your Waring Commercial Induction Range is equipped with small-object detection which will prevent it from operating unless you have an appropriate sized induction-ready pan in place. 2. To turn the power on, press the ON/OFF button and choose a cooking mode by pressing HEAT or TEMP button. NOTE: The unit will automatically shut off after 30 seconds if you do not choose a cooking mode. a) The HEAT button allows you to choose how many watts of power to cook with. b) The TEMP button allows you to choose the temperature at which you cook. 3. Once youve chosen a cooking mode, use the + and buttons to set the desired wattage or temperature. EMPTY-PAN DETECTION After extended periods of time with an empty pan, your Waring Commercial Induction Range will automatically shut off. CHOOSING FAHRENHEIT OR CELSIUS In TEMP mode, you can choose Fahrenheit or Celsius. When the unit is plugged in and in the OFF position the LCD screen will be blank. Press and hold the TEMP button for three seconds. The screen will illuminate and display C and F, as seen in figure 2. The current setting will blink. Use the + and buttons to switch to your desired setting. Once your desired 5 setting is blinking, press the TEMP button to confirm and then press the ON/OFF button. NOTE: The induction burner automatically defaults to Fahrenheit once unplugged. SETTING THE TIMER 1. Turn the unit on and choose your Figure 2 cooking mode by pressing TEMP or HEAT. 2. Press the TIMER button and use the + and buttons to adjust time anywhere from 1 minute to 10 hours. Once the timer display stops blinking, the timer will begin to count down. NOTE: It will count down seconds when it reaches :59 seconds. 3. When the time has counted down to 0 the unit will beep 4 times and the screen will blink. WARNING: The unit will not automatically shut off. INDUCTION-READY POTS AND PANS To use the Waring Commercial Induction Range, your pot or pan must have a flat bottom surface of 4.75 inches to 10 inches in diameter and be marked suitable for induction cooking. SAFETY CAUTION: UNPLUG FROM OUTLET WHEN NOT IN USE!
Please note that the unit will still be too hot to handle immediately after use. The Waring Commercial Induction Range has a thermal cutoff safety device to avoid overheating. If the Induction Range shuts off automatically, unplug it and allow it to cool for 20 minutes. Plug back in and continue use. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Always unplug unit after each use and before cleaning. Unplug the unit when not in operation. The Waring Commercial Induction Range should be cleaned after each use with warm soapy water. The exterior of unit may be cleaned by carefully wiping with a damp cloth. Clean cooking surface while the unit is warm, using warm soapy water. DO NOT USE COLD WATER ON WARM SURFACE. 6 Do not immerse completely in water to clean. The appliance is not to be cleaned with a water jet. NOTE: The cooking surface will be hot after use. Use caution when handling cooking utensils and cookware. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative. TROUBLESHOOTING Error Code List on LCD Display Error Code
---- and the unit beeps E1 E2 Description of Error There is no cookware, empty cookware or no suitable cookware on the range. The power will completely shut off within 60 seconds if there is no cookware or the wrong type of cookware on the unit. WIH400-Voltage is under 78V. WIH400B- Voltage is under 145V. WIH400-Voltage is over 145V. WIH400B- Voltage is over 275V. E3, E5 The heater is damaged. The thermal protection has shut the unit off due to overheating in the TEMP mode. The temperature inside the unit is too hot. E6 E7 E9 Solutions Make sure your pot/pan is induction ready. Check diameter of pot/pan; it must have a flat bottom between 4.75" and 10" in diameter. Check electrical specifications of power source. Contact the nearest authorized service facility for troubleshooting, repair and adjustment. Unplug the unit and let cool for 20 minutes. Plug the unit back in and continue use. NOTE: When cooking in HEAT mode, the maximum temperature is 300F. To cook at temperatures between 300F - 500F, use HEAT mode. Unplug the unit and let cool for 20 minutes. Once the unit is completely cooled, be sure it is positioned away from the wall and that there are no obstructions to the airflow. Plug the unit back in and continue use. NTC (Overheat Protection Sensor) has been activated or triggered. Unplug the unit and let cool for 20 minutes. Plug the unit back in and continue use. 7 MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD IMPORTANTES Al usar aparatos elctricos, debe tomar precauciones bsicas de seguridad, entre las cuales las siguientes:

No permita que el cordn cuelgue del borde de la encimera o de la mesa, ni que haga contacto con superficies calientes. 10. Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie llana y segura, como una mesa o una encimera. 11. No utilice el aparato para ningn otro fin que no sea el indicado. 12. Los nios o las personas que carezcan de la experiencia o de los conocimientos necesarios para manipular el aparato, o aquellas cuyas capacidades fsicas, sensoriales o mentales estn limitadas, no deben utilizar el aparato sin la supervisin o la direccin de una persona responsable por su seguridad. 13. Asegrese de que los nios no jueguen con este aparato. 14. No utilice la placa si la superficie de coccin est rota Si la superficie de coccin est rota, lquido puede infiltrarse adentro de la placa, presentando un riesgo de electrocucin. 8 15. Tenga cuidado al limpiar la superficie de coccin Procure no limpiar la placa mientras est caliente, incluso con agua. El vapor producido por el agua puede provocar quemaduras. Algunos limpiadores producen gases nocivos cuando entran en contacto con una superficie caliente. 16. No coloque objetos de metal como cuchillos, tenedores, cucharas o tapas sobre la superficie de coccin porque se pueden volver muy calientes. GUARDE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES APROBADO PARA USO COMERCIAL INSTRUCCIONES DE PUESTA A TIERRA Para su proteccin, este aparato est equipado con un cable de puesta a tierra. Los cables de los aparatos de 120 V, 208 V y 240 V estn dotados de un enchufe con puesta a tierra, el cual debe ser conectado a una toma de corriente debidamente puesta a tierra (Fig. 1). Si una toma de corriente puesta a tierra no est disponible, se podr usar un adaptador para conectar el aparato a una toma de corriente polarizada (Fig. 2). El adaptador debe ser puesto a tierra mediante un tornillo de metal que conecte la lengeta del adaptador a la placa de la toma de corriente (Fig. 3). PRECAUCIN: antes de conectar el adaptador, asegrese de que la toma de corriente est puesta a tierra. Si no est seguro, comunquese con un electricista. Nunca use un adaptador sin estar seguro de que la toma de corriente est puesta a tierra. IMPORTANTE: est prohibido usar un adaptador en el Canad. 9 INSTRUCCIONES ESPECIALES RELATIVAS AL USO DE EXTENSIONES El cable provedo con este aparato es corto, para reducir el peligro de que alguien se enganche o tropiece con un cable ms largo. Puede usarse una extensin elctrica con cuidado. La clasificacin nominal de la extensin debe ser por lo menos igual a la del aparato. Si el cable del aparato est dotado de un enchufe con puesta a tierra, la extensin tambin debe serlo. La placa no funcionar con cacerolas/ollas no aptas para induccin. Si intenta usar una cacerola/olla no apta para induccin, ----- aparecer en la pantalla y STANBY empezar a parpadear (Fig. 1). La placa se apagar automticamente despus de 60 segundos. 1. Antes de encender el aparato, coloque la cacerola/olla sobre la superficie de coccin vitrocermica. La placa de induccin Waring Commercial est equipada con un sensor de peso que impide usar la placa a menos que use una cacerola/olla apta para induccin. Fig. 1 2. Oprima el botn ON/OFF para encender la placa. Despus, elija el modo de coccin deseado, oprimiendo el botn HEAT o TEMP. IMPORTANTE: el aparato se apagar automticamente despus de 30 segundos si no si elige un modo de coccin. a) El botn HEAT permite elegir la potencia usada para cocer, en vatios. b) El botn TEMP permite elegir la temperatura usada para cocer. 3. Tras haber elegido el modo de coccin, oprima los botones
+/- para fijar el nivel de potencia o la temperatura. SENSOR DE PESO La placa de induccin se apagar automticamente despus de unos minutos si la cacerola/olla est vaca. CMO CAMBIAR LA UNIDAD DE TEMPERATURA Utilice el modo TEMP para cambiar la unidad de temperatura de grados Fahrenheit a grados centgrados. Enchufe la placa y asegrese de que est apagada (la pantalla digital debera estar en blanco). Mantenga oprimido el botn TEMP durante 3 segundos. Las unidades de temperatura C y F aparecern en la pantalla (Fig.2). La unidad de temperatura actual parpadear. Utilice los botones +/- para cambiar la unidad de F a C o 11 viceversa. Cuando la unidad de temperatura deseada empiece a parpadear, oprima el botn TEMP para confirmar, y luego el botn ON/OFF. NOTA: el aparato volver al modo "Fahrenheit" cada vez que lo desconecte. CMO FIJAR EL TEMPORIZADOR 1. Encienda el aparato y elija el modo de coccin, TEMP o HEAT. Fig. 2 2. Oprima el botn TIMER y utilice los botones +/- para fijar el tiempo de coccin deseado, desde 1 minuto hasta 10 horas. El temporizador se pondr en marcha despus de que la pantalla deje de parpadear. NOTA: la cuenta regresiva se efectuar en segundos debajo de un minuto. 3. Al final de la coccin, el aparato emitir 4 pitidos y la pantalla empezar a parpadear. ADVERTENCIA: el aparato no se apagar automticamente. CACEROLAS/OLLAS APTAS PARA INDUCCIN Las cacerolas/ollas aptas para induccin deben tener un fondo plano de 1225 cm de dimetro y ser fabricadas especficamente para la coccin por induccin. MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD PRECAUCIN: DESCONECTE EL APARATO DESPUS DE USARLO!
El aparato estar muy caliente despus del uso. No lo toque ni lo mueva hasta que haya enfriado. Limpie el aparato despus de cada uso con agua jabonosa tibia. Limpie el cuerpo del aparato con un pao humedecido. Limpie la placa aun tibia con agua jabonosa tibia. NO ECHE 12 AGUA FRA SOBRE UNA SUPERFICIE CALIENTE. No sumerja el aparato en agua. No lo lave a chorro. NOTA: la superficie de coccin estar muy caliente despus del uso. Una vez enfriado, ubique el aparato lejos de la pared y asegrese de que no existan obstrucciones al flujo de aire. Enchufe el aparato para seguir cocinando. E9 El sensor NTC de proteccin contra el recalentamiento ha sido activado. Desconecte el aparato y permita que enfre durante 20 minutos. Enchufe el aparato para seguir cocinando. 13 IMPORTANTES CONSIGNES DE SCURIT L'utilisation d'appareils lectriques requiert la prise de prcautions lmentaires, parmi lesquelles les suivantes :

Lutilisation daccessoires non recommands ou vendus par Waring peut prsenter un risque d'incendie, d'lectrocution ou de blessure. 8. Ne pas utiliser l'appareil l'air libre. 9. Ne pas laisser le cordon pendre au bord d'une table ou d'un plan de travail, ni entrer en contact avec des surfaces chaudes. 10. Placer l'appareil sur une surface nivele et sre. 11. Veiller ce que les enfants ne jouent pas avec l'appareil. 14. Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si la surface de cuisson est casse Si la surface de cuisson est casse, du liquide peut s'infiltrer l'intrieur de la plaque, prsentant un risque d'lectrocution. 14 15. Nettoyer la surface de cuisson prudemment viter de nettoyer la plaque alors qu'elle est encore chaude, mme avec de l'eau. La vapeur prsente un risque de brlure. Certains produits nettoyants produisent des manations nocives au contact d'une surface chaude. 16. Ne pas placer d'objets en mtal, tel que des couteaux, fourchettes, cuillres ou couvercles, sur la surface de cuisson. Ils peuvent devenir trs chauds. GARDER CES INSTRUCTIONS USAGE COMMERCIAL AUTORIS INSTRUCTIONS DE MISE LA TERRE Pour votre protection, votre appareil est dot d'un cordon trois fils de mise la terre. Les appareils de 120 V, 208 V et 240 V sont quips d'une fiche trois broches. Cette fiche doit tre branche dans une prise de terre correctement configure (Fig. 1). Vous pouvez utiliser un adaptateur temporaire (Fig. 2) pour brancher lappareil dans une prise polarise jusqu ce que vous fassiez installer une prise de terre par un lectricien. Afin d'assurer la mise la terre, la languette de ladaptateur doit tre fixe au botier par une vis en mtal (Fig. 3). ATTENTION : vrifier que le botier est mis la terre avant d'utiliser l'adaptateur. En cas de doute, demander conseil un lectricien. Ne jamais utiliser un adaptateur, moins qu'il ne soit correctement mis la terre. REMARQUE : lutilisation dun adaptateur comme celui mentionn ci-dessus est interdite au Canada. 15 UTILISATION DE RALLONGES LECTRIQUES Pour des raisons de scurit, cet appareil est quip dun cordon dalimentation court. Une rallonge lectrique pourra tre utilise au besoin, pourvu que les prcautions suivantes soient prises. Veillez ce que les spcifications lectriques de la rallonge soient au moins gales celles de l'appareil. Si la fiche de l'appareil est quipe d'une prise de terre, utilisez une rallonge quipe d'une prise de terre. Ne laissez pas la rallonge pendre au bord dune table ou dun plan de travail et veillez ce quelle soit place de telle manire quun enfant ne puisse pas y trbucher ou la tirer. PICES 1. La plaque ne fonctionnera pas avec des casseroles non adaptes la cuisson par induction. Si vous essayez d'utiliser une casserole non adapte, ----- apparaitra sur l'cran et STANDBY clignotera (Fig. 1). La plaque s'teindra automatiquement au bout de 60 secondes. 1. Avant d'allumer la plaque, poser la casserole sur la surface de cuisson vitrocramique. La plaque induction Waring Commercial est quipe d'un senseur de poids qui l'empche de fonctionner moins que vous n'utilisiez une casserole adapte la cuisson par induction. Fig. 1 2. Pour allumer la plaque, appuyer sur le bouton ON/OFF. Ensuite, choisir le mode de cuisson voulu en appuyant sur le bouton HEAT ou TEMP. REMARQUE : l'appareil s'teindra automatiquement au bout de 30 secondes si aucun mode de cuisson n'est slectionn. a) Le bouton HEAT permet de choisir la puissance de cuisson, en watts. b) Le bouton TEMP permet de choisir la temprature de cuisson. 3. Une fois le mode de cuisson choisi, appuyer sur les boutons
+/- pour rgler le niveau de puissance ou la temprature. SENSEUR DE POIDS La plaque induction s'teindra automatiquement aprs quelques minutes si la casserole est vide. COMMENT CHANGER L'UNIT DE TEMPRATURE Utiliser le mode TEMP pour changer la temprature de degrs Fahrenheit degrs Celsius. Brancher la plaque et s'assurer qu'elle est teinte (l'cran numrique devrait tre vide). Appuyer sur le bouton TEMP pendant trois secondes. Les units de temprature C et F apparaitront sur l'cran (Fig. 2). L'unit de temprature actuelle clignotera. Appuyer sur les bouton +/- pour changer l'unit de F C ou vice-versa. Une fois que l'unit de temprature voulue clignote, appuyer sur le bouton TEMP pour 17 confirmer, puis sur le bouton ON/OFF. REMARQUE : l'appareil retourner en mode "Fahrenheit"

CASSEROLES ADAPTES LA CUISSON PAR INDUCTION Les casseroles adaptes la cuisson par induction doivent avoir un fond plat de 1225 cm de diamtre et doivent tre conues spcialement pour la cuisson par induction. MESURES DE SCURIT ATTENTION : DBRANCHER L'APPAREIL LORSQUE VOUS NE L'UTILISEZ PAS !
L'appareil reste chaud pendant longtemps aprs la cuisson. Ne pas le toucher ou le dplacer avant qu'il n'ait refroidi. L'appareil est quip d'un mcanisme de scurit qui l'teint automatiquement en cas de surchauffe. Si cela se produisait, dbrancher puis laisser l'appareil refroidir pendant 20 minutes. Une fois refroidi, le rebrancher. NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN Dbrancher l'appareil aprs chaque utilisation et avant de le nettoyer. Dbrancher l'appareil aprs usage. Nettoyer l'appareil aprs chaque utilisation, avec de l'eau savonneuse tide. Nettoyer le botier l'aide d'un linge lgrement humide. Nettoyer la plaque pendant qu'elle est encore tide, avec de l'eau tide et du dtergent. NE PAS VERSER D'EAU FROIDE SUR UNE SURFACE CHAUDE. 18 Ne pas submerger l'appareil dans l'eau. Ne pas laver l'appareil pression. REMARQUE : la surface de cuisson sera trs chaude aprs la cuisson. Manipuler les casseroles et les ustensiles de cuisine avec prcaution. COMMERCIAL INDUCTION RANGE WIH400B INSTRUCTION MANUAL parts. I IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

If using the unit in TEMP or HEAT Function, not setting the TIMER Function, when the unit is used 9:59 hours, the LCD display shows OFF around 30 seconds and then the unit will stop with a beeping sound. If using the unit in TEMP or HEAT Function for an hour, and then set the TIMER, the max Timer is 9:59 hours. But the cooking time will be less than 9:59 hours. During timer operation, you can change the duration at any time with the arrow keys. NOTE: The power will completely shut off with 60 second if either (a) the wrong type of cookware is applied or (b) no cookware is placed on the unit. USABLE AND NON-USABLE UTENSILS:
Compatible Pans:
Steel or cast iron, enameled iron, stainless steel, flat-bottom pan/pots with diameter of 12 to 26 cm. Non- compatible Pans:
Heat-resistant glass, ceramic container, copper, aluminum pan/pots. Rounded-bottom pan/pots with the base measuring less than 12 cm. If the pots/pans are used without being cleaned, as this may result in discoloration or stains. CLEAN AND MAINTENANCE:
Clean after each use. Disconnect plug and wait until the unit has cooled down. Do not use benzene, thinner, scrubbing brush or polishing powder to clean the induction cooker. Wipe down the unit using a dish washing agent and a damp cloth Use vacuum cleaner to suck up dirt from the air intake and exhaust vent. Never run water over the unit (If water gets inside it may cause malfunction). WARNING: any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative. Error Code List:
