The Tablet is not difficult to operate the disconnect device from power supply cord and to fully disengage the power to the unit, please disconnect the power cord from the AC inlet. Connecting External Device Your Tablet has a wide range of built-in features and connections capabilities. 16 Connecting a universal serial bus (USB) device:
Your Tablet comes with one USB port compatible with USB devices. Note: When using a high power consumption USB device such as USB ODD, use the external devices power adapter. Otherwise, the device may not be recognized resulting in system shutdown. Connecting a Bluetooth enabled device (Selected models only):
If your Tablet has an integrated Bluetooth adapter card, it can connect to and transfer data wirelessly to other Bluetooth enabled devices, such as notebook computers, PDAs and smart phones. Enable transfer data between these devices without cables at up to 10-meter range in open space. Notes: When Bluetooth function is not in use, turn it off to save battery power. You need to pair the Bluetooth-enabled device with your Tablet before you can transfer data between them. Read the documentation supplied with the Bluetooth-enabled device for details on how to pair the device with your Tablet. Disconnect Devices:
To fully disengage the power to the unit, please disconnect the power cord from the AC inlet. Wireless Connection:
Wireless connection provides mobile access to the Internet, allowing the user to stay online anywhere the wireless signal covers. WiFi networks cover a small physical area, like a home, office, or small group of buildings. An access point is necessary for the connection. Using WiFi (Selected models only):
Your Tablet may be able to connect via WiFi network within your home or office. Consult your router or wireless access equipment documentation for information on how to connect devices wirelessly to the equipment. Battery Capacity check:
Each Battery provides an LED indicator, allowing the user to press the button and get an indication of battery capacity and status. LED Level meaning:

Troubleshooting Troubleshooting This section only describes problems that might negate the need to refer to the more comprehensive information in Chapter 2. Start Up problems:
1. When I turn on the Tablet, nothing appears on the screen. If the screen is blank, make sure that:
- The AC adapter is connected to the Tablet and the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- The Tablet power is on. (Press the power button again and check power LED indicator for confirmation.) 2. The critical low-battery error message appears, and the Tablet immediately turns off.
- Means your battery capacity is lower than 10%, Cybernet strongly suggest to plug-in AC power immediately to prevent the tablet abnormal shutdown. 3. Please check your battery connection error message appears
- Means battery may not install as well. Please press power button to force shutdown your tablet first then re-install battery again. If the message still happens please return your battery to RMA process. 18 Chapter 4. BIOS Setup The BIOS provides a Setup utility program for specifying the system configurations and settings. The BIOS ROM of the system stores the Setup utility. When you turn on the computer, the BIOS is immediately activated. Pressing the <Del> key immediately allows you to enter the Setup utility. If you are a little bit late pressing the <Del> key, POST (Power On Self Test) will continue with its test routines, thus preventing you from invoking the Setup. If you still wish to enter Setup, restart the system bypressing the
<Ctrl>, <Alt> and <Delete> keys. You can also restart by turning the system Off and back On again. The following message will appear on the screen:
Press <DEL> to Enter Setup In general, you press the arrow keys to highlight items, <Enter> to select, the <PgUp> and <PgDn> keys to change entries, <F1> for help and <Esc>
to quit. When you enter the Setup utility, the Main Menu screen will appear on the screen. The Main Menu allows you to select from various setup functions and exit choices. Warning:
It is strongly recommended that you avoid making any changes to the chipset defaults. These defaults have been carefully chosen by both AMI and your system manufacturer to provide the absolute maximum performance and reliability. Use and Care Information Caring for your Tablet Though your Tablet is designed to function reliably in normal work environments, you still need to handle it with proper care. By following these important tips, you will get the most use and enjoyment out of your Tablet. Be careful about where and how you work:
Do not eat or drink over your Tablet. To prevent the risk of suffocation from plastic bag, store packing material safely out of the reach of children, 22 Keep your Tablet away from magnet. Avoid subjecting the Tablet to extreme temperatures (below 0C or above 35C). Be gentle with your Tablet:
Avoid placing any object (including paper) on the display. Do not drop, bump, scratch, twist, hit, vibrate, push, or place heavy object on your Tablet, display, or external device. Before moving your Tablet, be sure to remove any media, turn off attached devices and disconnect cords and cables. Be sure your Tablet is in sleep or hibernation mode, or turned off, before moving it to prevent damage to the storage drive and data loss. Use a quality carrying case that provides adequate cushioning and protection. Do not pack your Tablet in a tightly packed suitcase or bag. Data Safety:
Do not delete unknown files or change the name of files or directories that were not created by you; otherwise your Tablet software may fail to work. Be aware that accessing network resources can leave your Tablet vulnerable to Tablet viruses, hackers, spyware, and other malicious activities that might damage Your Tablet, software, or data. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate protection in the form of firewalls, antivirus software and anti-spyware software and keep this software up to date. Other important tips:
Your Tablet might have both an Ethernet and a modem connector. If so, be sure to connect your communication cable to the correct one. Turn off your Tablet if you are replacing a device, or else verify that the device is not warm or hot-swappable. Before you install any of the cards, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object. This action reduces any static electricity from your body. The static electricity could damage the device. 23 When transferring data to or from a Flash Media Card, do not put your Tablet in sleep mode before the data transfer is complete. To do so might damage your data. Cleaning the surface of the Tablet:
Occasionally clean your Tablet as follows:
Any industrial grade alcohol wipe or spray or diluted detergents( non-
bleach type) , would be acceptable on Both the CyberMed Rx /
Rugged X10-body and glass. Wipe the surface with the sponge, using a circular motion and taking care not to let any excess liquid drip. Wait for the surface to dry completely and remove any cloth fibers from the surface of the Tablet. Note: Shut down the Tablet and then disconnect the power cord before cleaning the Tablet Maintenance An important part of owning the Tablet is maintenance. With proper care, you can avoid common problems. The following sections provide information that can help your Tablet run smoothly. General tips for maintenance:
24 Check the capacity of your storage drive from time to time. If the storage drive gets too full, Windows will slow down and might produce errors. Empty your recycle bin on a regular basis. Use the Microsoft Disk Defragmenter on your storage drive on a regular basis to improve data search and read time. To free up disk space, uninstall unused application programs. Clean out your Inbox, Sent, and Trash folders from your e-mail client Make a point to back up your data at least once a week. It is a good idea to perform a daily backup if critical data is stored. Use or scheduled System Restore to take a system snapshot program. periodically. Note: Always take a system snapshot before installing new drivers, updating or installing new software. Update device drivers and BIOS when needed. Keep a log book. Entries might include major hardware or software changes, driver updates, minor issues you have experienced and how you resolved them.
