Low Battery Warning for Battery Replacement Control Buttons Mode Cursor Read Left button Escape/Backlight - Used to Escape current state and to turn the backlight on, and to display message manipulates screen. Cursor button Right Directional - Used to navigate through the Main/Function Menu, to preview your messages, to Adjust hour/minute/date. Right button Read/Select Button - Used to select a pager function, to read message, to navigate through time/alarm/auto-power-on/off setting function. 4. Operation Turning Your Pager On Press and hold READ for three seconds. A start-up screen is displayed and your pager activates the initial alert. Turning Your Pager Off Press CURSOR to move the cursor to , and press READ to display the Function menu. Press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ to turn Pager off. Your pager is now off and the screen is blank. Backlight Press MODE to move within the Main menu or From the Message Manipulate Screen, select . The Backlight is on at ST/BY mode by pressing MODE. Using the Main Menu 1 2 3 Press CURSOR to move within the Main menu.

(Private, Maildrop, Diary and Function Mode) Press READ to read message or enter the Function Menu. Receiving/Reading/Manipulating Personal Messages Your pager can receive up to 20 personal messages. When a message is received, your pager alerts according to the current alert setting (audible, vibrate, or silent).

-Reading an Incoming Message 1 When a Private message received, is changed to . 2 Press READ to display your message. Press READ again to read the next screen. Press CURSOR to go back to first screendf the message. 3 note: A on the st/by screen indicate a Full Memory.

-Preview/Reading/Backlighting/Locking/Unlocking/Deleting/Storing to Diary a Message 1 2 3 4 Press CURSOR to move the cursor to , Press READ to the display message preview screen, Press CURSOR to preview the message you want to read. Press READ to read the detailed message. Press READ again to read the next screen. If you want to backlight/lock/unlock/delete or store-to-Diary the message while reading it, press MODE to display Message Manipulate Screen. 5 Press CURSOR to move the cursor to the desired function, and press READ to activate it. 6 If you want to go back to the preview screen, press MODE. Note: When an unread message exists, your pager gives a periodic reminder alert until all unread messages are read. A on the pager status line indicates that you have unread messages. Deleting Messages

-To Delete Single Message while Reading It 1 From the Message Manipulate Screen, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . 2 Press READ to delete the message.

-To Delete All Unlocked Messages 1 2 From the Function Menu, Press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "Delete All?" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to make the cursor to . Press READ. All unlocked message are deleted. 3 Note: Diary messages are not deleted with this feature. Locking and Unlocking Messages Up to 15 messages can be locked to prevent them from being deleted or from being replaced when memory is full. When a message is locked, the symbol displayed on the Time Stamp line.

-To Lock or Unlock a Message while Reading it 1 2 3 From the Message Manipulate Screen, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ to lock the message. Repeat steps x and y to unlock the message. Maildrop/Information Service Messages Your pager has thirteen Maildrop areas(Each area has five rooms for storing maildrop messages).

-Reading Messages in Your Maildrop 1 When a maildrop messages received, is changed to . Diary Message Your pager has twenty Diary areas for storing personal/maildrop messages.

-Storing Personal Message/Maildrop in your Diary 1 2 From the Message Manipulate Screen, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. The message is now in the Diary.

-Reading/Backlighting/Deleting Messages in your Diary From the Main Menu Screen, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . 1 2 Diary messages are read and deleted the same way as personal messages. Note: Diary messages are deleted one at a time. Using the Function Menu The Function Menu provides access to the many features of your pager through the use of symbols. From the Main Menu, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . 1 Press READ to display the function menu. the location of the cursor is indicated by blinking symbol. 2 Press CURSOR to move the cursor within the function menu. As you move through the Function Menu, the function symbols blinking to indicate the present location of the cursor. Press READ to activate function. 3 To exit from the Function Menu without making any changes or go back to the Message Menu, press MODE. Display Zoom When this feature is activated, the standard 4-line ( 20 characters per line) display is converted to a 2-line ( 13 characters per line) display.

-To select Display Zoom 1 2 3 4 From the Function Menu, Press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "ZOOMING" screen is displayed. "PAGER OFF" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to move to cursor to . Press READ to turn the pager off. Setting the Incoming Message Alert 1 2 3 4 5 From the Function Menu, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "SET ALERT" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to move the cursor desired number. Press READ to listen the melody or tone. Repeat steps z and { to select another pattern. Setting the Alarm 1 2 3 4 From the Function Menu, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "SET ALARM" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to enable O or disable X alarm. Press READ to move the cursor to alarm hour. 5 6 7 8 9 Press CURSOR to adjust the hour. Repeat for minutes. Press READ to move the cursor to . Press CURSOR to select Alarm Melody. Press MODE to activate the alarm setting. Note: If alarm is on, the symbol is displayed on the pager status line. Setting the Auto Power On/Off From the Function Menu, Press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "AUTO ON/OFF" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to enable O or disable X auto-power-on/off. Press READ to move the cursor to auto-power-on/off digits. Press CURSOR to adjust the hour of auto-power-on/off time. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Repeat steps { and | to adjust the minutes of auto-power-on/off time. 7 Press MODE to activate the auto-power-on/off setting. Setting the Clock 1 2 3 4 5 6 From the Function Menu, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ."SET CLOCK" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to adjust the hour. Press READ to move the cursor to next set of digits. Repeat steps z and { to adjust minutes, month/day/year. Press MODE to activate the clock setting. Setting Pager Options From the Function Menu, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ to display the Pager Options Mode.

-Adjusting the LCD Contrast 1 2 3 4 From the Pager Options mode, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "LCD CONTRAST" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to adjust Contrast of LCD display Press MODE to exit.

-Adjusting Display the Time Out 1 2 3 4 From the Pager Options mode, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ. "DISPLAY TIME" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to move the cursor to the desired display time

(4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24 sec). Press MODE to change the Display time.

-Adjusting the Unread Alert 1 2 3 4 From the Pager Options mode, press CURSOR to move the cursor to . Press READ."UNREAD ALERT" screen is displayed. Press CURSOR to move the cursor to the desired alert duration

(3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30 min). Press MODE to change the Unread Alert setting.

(FAST FULL, FAST HALF, SMOOTH FULL, SMOOTH HALF). Press MODE to activate the Scroll Setting.
