Cat, No, 60-4247 Commander Your RadioShack Commander is built to handle the road in style, whether the road is the hallway in your house or the sidewalk outside, Built to 1/20 scale, it can reach speeds up to 200 feet per minute. INSTALLING BATTERIES You need four AA batteries (not supplied) to power the Commander, and one 9V battery (not supplied) for its transmitter. Cautions:
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities Never leave dead or weak batteries in the Commander or the transmitter. Where they can corrode and demage the units. WARNING Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly; do not burn or bury them. Installing the Commander's Batteries You need four AA batteries (not supplied) to power your Commander, We recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries. Follow these steps to install the Commander's batteries. Set ON/OFF on the bottom of the Commander to OFF, 2. Usea coin to twist the battery compartment cover's latch clockwise until it stops, then hold the small wheel on the cover to open. 3, Install the batteries in the compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+and-) marked inside. 4. Replace the cover, then tum the latch counterclockwise until it stops. If the Commander moves slowly or does not move at all, replace the Commander's batteries. Note: If you will not be using the Commander for several days, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage electronic parts. Note:
Before playnig the Commander, you need to put the driver back on the seat. Follow these steps to install the driver. 1, Put the driver's hands to slot in the motor bike handlebars. 2, Put the driver's feet on the pedal & be sure the feets rings be slotted into the axle, then use a coin to twist the engine's latch clockwise until it stops. Installing the Transmitter's Battery The transmitter requires one 9V battery (not supplied). Follow these steps to install the transmitters battery. 1. Press and slide the battery compartment cover off the transmitter. 2. Put the battery in the compartment according to the polarity symbols (tand-) marked inside, 3. Slide the cover back into place. Be sure it snaps in. When the transmitters range decreases, replace its battery. OPERATION Driving the Commander Set ON/OFF on the bottom of the Commander to ON. Press and hold down the button to drive the Commander move forward with wheelie action. Release the button to stop the Commander. Press and hold down the button again to make it reverse in circle. When you finish driving the Commander, set ON/OFF on the bottom of Commander to OFF. ween HELPFUL HINTS These hints can help you get the most enjoyment from your Commander. Running your bike continuously for long periods generates high heat levels, Heat causes wear and tear on the motor, To help keep heat levels down, when your bike's battery power run down, let the bike cool at least 10 minutes before installing new batteries. If the Commander's motor runs but the Commander does not respond to the transmitter, move the transmitter closer to the Commander and try again. If someone uses a CB nearby, it might interfere with control of the Commander. If this happens, move the Commander away from the CB. You cannot operate your Commander near devices with transmitters that use the same frequency (49 MHz). CARE AND MAINTENANCE The following suggestions will help you take care of your RadioShack Commander so you can enjoy it for years Do not expose the Commander or its transmitter to temperature extremes, and do not store them in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Wipe the Commander and transmitter with a damp cloth occasionally to keep them look new. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean them.
