Charging Indicator CHARGING THE SPEAKER Using the Charging Cable provided, plug the Micro USB Tip into the Micro USB Charging Port and plug the other end (USB Tip) into a USB port on your computer or USB wall charger (not included). A red LED indicator light will illuminate while charging and turn off when completed. A full charge will take approximately 4 to 5 hours. To turn on and off the speaker, slide the ON/OFF Switch to either position. POWER ON/OFF BLUETOOTH MODE Pairing a Bluetooth Enabled Device for the First Time to your Bluetooth Speaker NOTE: Refer to the user manual for your Bluetooth enabled device for instructions on pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices. 1. Keep the speaker and your Bluetooth enabled device within 1 metre at all times during the pairing process. 2. On the speaker, slide the ON/OFF Switch to the ON position. You will hear a voice prompt indicating what mode you are in. (If you are already in the Bluetooth pairing mode, skip to step 4.) 3. Press the Mode (M) button (Fig 1) on the speaker repeatedly until you are in the Bluetooth pairing mode. 4. Once you are in the Bluetooth pairing mode, you will hear BLUETOOTH MODE and the LED Bluetooth Indicator Light will start to flash rapidly. 5. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth enabled device and search for Bluetooth devices. When the search is complete, select BTSPK34 from the Bluetooth device list. (If a password is required, use 0000 to finalize the pairing process.) 6. When the Bluetooth connection is successful, you will hear CONNECTED and the LED Bluetooth Indicator Light will start to flash slowly. This means you are connected and the speaker is ready for use. NOTE:
If pairing was unsuccessful, turn off the speaker first and repeat the steps above to re-pair again. After successful pairing, paired devices will remember each other. Unless pairing information is deleted, re-pairing is not required after the first time. If you want to pair the unit with other Bluetooth enabled devices, please disconnect/remove the existing device and pair with the new device according to the steps above. 7. Once you are successfully connected, you can use the controls on your Bluetooth enabled device to increase or decrease the volume. E-3 HANDSFREE SPEAKERPHONE While the speaker is in Bluetooth Mode and successfully paired to your smartphone, you can answer phone calls through this speaker and use it as a speakerphone. Press the Call Answer or Call End (Fig. 5) Button and to pick up and hang up a phone call. To increase or decrease the volume of the phone call, press and hold the Volume Up or Volume Down Button USB & MICRO SD MEDIA MODE This speaker allows you to play music from an USB thumb drive or a Micro SD memory card with MP3 formatted files. 1. After you turn on the unit, insert the USB thumb drive or Micro SD card containing your music. The unit will say MUSIC and the speaker will automatically start playing your MP3 formatted files. 2. To increase or decrease the volume, press and hold the Volume Up or Volume Down Buttons 3. To skip to the next or previous song, press the Next Track or Previous Track Buttons. 4. To insert the Micro SD card, use your fingernail to help push it in all the way until it clicks in. To remove the Micro SD card, push it in all the way and it will click out. The USB thumb drive or a micro SD memory card (not both) can be left in the speaker or taken out. It will not affect the function of the speaker as you cycle through the different modes. FM MODE 1. On the speaker, slide the ON/OFF Switch to the ON position. You will hear a voice indicating what mode you are in. 2. Press the Mode button (Fig 1) on the speaker repeatedly until the unit says you are in the FM Mode 3. Press and hold the Play/Pause Button and it will start to auto scan all available FM stations from 87.5 to 108.0 MHz with strong signals and save them. 4. Press the button (Fig 4) or + button (Fig 2) on the front of the speaker to tune the saved radio stations. NOTE:
You should use the charging cable supplied and connect it to the charging port. This acts as an antenna for the FM radio and will help with reception. Do not use the FM Mode while charging the speaker. This will cause radio interference. If the FM reception is weak, try repositioning the unit near a window until you get the best reception. Warranty Period encompasses separate Coverage Periods for Parts and Labor, with each Coverage Period to begin from the original date of Customer purchase. Parts are covered for a period of 1yr. Labour is covered for 90 days. If Customer returns a defective Product during the applicable Warranty Period, Borne Electronics will, at its option during the specified Coverage Periods for Parts and Labor (as applicable), either:
(i) repair the Product or (ii) replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product, in either case free of charge to Customer for Parts and/or Labor (as applicable) during the specified Coverage Period only, and excluding applicable shipping charges for which the Customer is responsible. The foregoing states the Customers exclusive remedy and Borne Electronics sole liability for breach of the limited warranty contained herein.
