Battery Bay CONNECTING TO THE TOWER SPEAKER E-4 REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY INSTALLATION A battery will already be included inside your remote control. For first time use, please pull out the plastic insulation tab to activate the battery connection with the remote. Your remote is now ready to use. See illustration below. To install or replace the battery in the remote control, follow the below steps:
2. Turn the remote over on its backside and locate the Battery Bay. 3. Slide the plastic tab on the Battery Bay to the right with your right thumb and hold (1). 4. Simultaneously, use your right index finger to pull out the battery tray (2). 5. A CR2032 battery (3V) may only be used. 6. Once battery has been replaced, slide the battery tray back into the remote. NOTE: Positive (+) side of the battery must face up. See illustration below. The operating range of the Remote Control to the Bluetooth Tower Speaker is approximately 6 meters and at a 30 angle on either side of the Bluetooth Tower Speaker. See illustration below. E-5 GENERAL OPERATION This speaker has multiple functions:
Bluetooth Mode Audio Line In Mode (Auxiliary) Audio Line In Mode (RCA) 1. Plug-in the included AC adapter into a wall outlet providing 120V, and the other end to the Bluetooth Tower Speaker 12V / 1.5A DC Input Jack on the rear side. 2. Turn the Power Switch on the back of the Bluetooth Tower Speaker to the ON position. A Blue indicator light will illuminate under the `Power` logo at the top of the Speaker. 3. The Bluetooth Tower Speaker is now powered on and ready to use. 4. To put the Speaker into Standby Mode, press the Power Button on the Speaker or the Remote Control. A Red indicator light will illuminate beside the `Standby` logo confirming the Speaker is in Standby Mode. 5. To increase or decrease the volume on the Speaker, press and hold the Volume Up or Volume Down Button on either the Speaker or Remote Control. 6. To skip songs forward or backward, press the Next or Previous Buttons on either the Speaker or Remote Control. 7. To pause and resume playback, press the Play/Pause Button on either the Speaker or Remote Control. 8. To mute the sound at any time, press the Mute Button on the Remote Control or the Speaker. BLUETOOTH MODE 1. By default, the Bluetooth Tower Speaker powers on into Bluetooth Mode. (If you have switched to another mode, use the Mode Button either on the Remote Control or on the Bluetooth Tower Speaker to switch back to Bluetooth Mode. A Blue indicator light will illuminate beside the `BT`
logo. 2. Once the Bluetooth Tower Speaker is in Bluetooth Mode, you will hear an audible tone indicating the Speaker is in pairing mode. On your device, navigate to its Bluetooth settings and turn ON Bluetooth. Then allow for your device to discover other Bluetooth devices. When you see
`BTSPKT01` appear on your device, pair with it. Another audible sound will be heard confirming the Speaker has been paired with your Bluetooth device successfully. NOTE: Please refer to your Bluetooth devices user manual on Bluetooth pairing. NOTE: Paired devices will remember each other. Unless pairing information is deleted, re-pairing is not required after the first time. NOTE: If you want to pair the unit with other Bluetooth enabled devices, please disconnect the existing device and pair with the new device according to the steps above. 3. Once paired, play any audio from your Bluetooth device as usual and the sound will be heard from the Bluetooth Tower Speaker. NOTE: If sound cannot be heard, make sure to raise the volume both on your Bluetooth device, and on the Bluetooth Tower Speaker. E-6 AUDIO LINE MODE (AUXILIARY / RCA) 1. Once the Bluetooth Tower Speaker has been powered on, press the Mode Button either on the Speaker or Remote Control to change the source to Auxiliary. A Blue Indicator light will illuminate beside the `AUX` logo. 2. Insert either a 3.5mm Auxiliary or RCA audio (red/white) cable into the backside of the Speaker and the other end of the cable to your audio device. 3. Play any audio from your audio device and the sound will be heard from the Bluetooth Tower Speaker. NOTE: If sound cannot be heard, make sure to raise the volume both on your Bluetooth device, and on the Bluetooth Tower Speaker. Need help? Please call us. Product is sold to Customer for personal, non-commercial use only. Product is not warranted for Customers commercial or rental use. In addition, Product is not warranted against failure, and should not be used by Customer for any application where (i) there is a risk that any data stored on Product will be breached or otherwise compromised, or (ii) the data stored on Product is relied upon for medical or lifesaving applications. Borne Electronics expressly disclaims any warranty for any of the foregoing uses to the fullest extent permitted by law. Customer assumes any and all risks associated with such uses of Product, and agrees to indemnify Borne Electronics for any damages claimed against Borne Electronics for such uses. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY E-8 APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL BORNE ELECTRONICS BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST PROFITS OR REVENUES, LOSS OR INACCURACY OF ANY DATA OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE).
