NOTES BEFORE FLIGHT Assemble: Please make sure the propellers and motors are securely mounted on the correct location. Make sure that A/B propellers are correctly mounted. Keep aware of rotating propellers and motors during fore-flight check. Maintain: Please do not disassemble and repair the main body of this product as sensitive electronic components are involved which may be damaged during nonpro-
fessional handling. Flight: Play Cicada K with caution to minimize the chance of damaging people and properties. Cicada K can preform with high speed. Flight Signal Do not attempt to operate this model near buildings or other objects which obstruct a clear view of the sky as these obstructions restrict GPS reception. Flight Interference Do not attempt to operate your model within 200 meters of potential electro-magnetic interference producing areas such as broadcast towers, power stations, high voltage lines, and more. Interference can cause control failure. Flight Restricted-Zone Do not operate your model near airports, military bases, or other restricted airspace areas. Flying this model in a restricted airspace zone is illegal and may result in criminal litigation. Flight Site To limit the potential for damaging accidents, do not fly over crowds or vehicles. SAFETY FLYING Before starting your model ensure that there are at least 20cm of clear and open space around your model and that you are well away from any crowds, power lines, or other obstructions. Always keep the model in sight. To avoid damage caused by possible GPS errors, please ensure that the area around this model's Return To Home point is free of lakes, buildings, and other obstacles. If the intense collision occurs, please pull out the battery to reset the model before power on the model to fly again. This product is not suitable for use by children under 14 years of age. All minors, including those over 14, should be supervised by professionals whenever operating this model. BATTERY SAFE Cicada K adopts Li-Po battery 1. Do not disassemble the battery. 2. Do not place the battery into fire or water. 3. Do not charge of use the battery in high temperature environment. 4. Do not spear through the battery. 5. Do not use the battery on other devices. 6. Do not use leaking or distorted battery. 7. Do not place the battery in a microwave oven or high pressure vessel. 8. Do leave the battery under sunshine for long time. 9. Please place the battery out of easy reach for children. 10. Please use the official charger and follow the guide for charging instructions. INSTALL BATTERY 1. Open the package and slide the battery into the battery department until it solid touch the receptacle. 2. Slide up the joint to lock the battery. UNINSTALL BATTERY 1. Enter APP, and choose flight scene. 1.Before power on, please insert the Micro SD card with the contactor facing downward into the model. It will not be able to take pictures and videos without Micro SD card. 2. Install battery, short press to power on the model (the same to power off), and LED will be on. 3. After powering on the model, place it on an unobstructed, level surface, wait until it completes initialization. 4. Switch on WiFi of your mobile or pad, find WiFi name Cicada_K_ XXXXXXXX, connect and input the password (the password consists of the last eight digits of the WiFi name). Outdoor Mode Indoor Mode No GPS positioning Outdoor Mode: Suitable for open places with strong GPS signal and less obstacles, such as parks, squares. Indoor Mode: Suitable for windless environment. GPS location and Go -Home function are disabled in this mode. 6. Choose Flight Scene, and enter the operation interface. Strongly recommend to choose outdoor mode for new user for the first flight, in order to avoid operation risk. 7. To start the motors, slide the "Slide to take off " button, and then press the take off button, the model will take off automatically. 8. Key Pad Mode (Default Mode). Left Right Holding the up arrow will cause the model to ascend until released. Once released, the model will hover in place. Holding the right arrow will cause the model to rotate to the right. It will hold position when released. Holding the down arrow will cause the model to descend. When the arrow is released, the model will hover in place. Holding the left arrow will make the model rotate left. It will hold position when released. Holding the "forward" arrow makes the model move forward. It will hold position when released. Holding the "right" arrow makes the model move to the right. It will hold position when released. Holding the "back" arrow moves the model backwards. It will hold position when released. Holding the "left" arrow makes the model move left. It will hold position when released. 10 11 8-2. Stick Mode (Optional in Menu). In "Stick Mode" your selected control sensitivity has no affect on model movement. The degree of change in model motion and heading is governed by the distance the slider is pushed. Left Right Slide up to make the model ascend. Slide right to rotate the model right. Slide down to make the model descend. Slide left to rotate the model left. Slide up to move the model forward. Slide right to make the model move forward/right. Slide down to move the model backward. Slide left to move the model forward/left. 8-3. Gravity Sensor Mode (Optional in Menu). Left Holding the up arrow will cause the model to ascend until released. Once released, the model will hover in place. Holding the right arrow will cause the model to rotate to the right. It will hold position when released. Holding the down arrow will cause the model to descend. When the arrow is released, the model will hover in place. Holding the left arrow will make the model rotate left. It will hold position when released. Right Press and hold within the designated side (Right side) to enable accelerometer-
based control. Press any place on the right side of the screen;
tilt the mobile to right side, the model will start to move right. Press any place on the right side of the screen;
tilt the mobile to left side, the model will start to move left. 9. Go-Home Function. In Outdoor Mode, pressing the go-home button at the top of the screen makes the model fly back to the place where the GPS was last enabled. Indoor Mode, the go-Home function is disabled, fly the model back manually. 10. Landing. Force landing: When emergency occurs, slide the "Slide to cut off " button, the motors will stop. Automatic landing: Press the landing button at the top of the screen puts the model into a slow vertical decent without cutting the power. Slide the "Slide to cut off " button when the model is closer to the ground for a much quicker decent. Manual landing: Manually reduce the altitude until the model lands safely. Slide the "Slide to cut off " button to stop the motors before approaching. Press any place on the right side of the screen; tilt the mobile forward, the model will move forward.
