PRELIMINARY Estimote Beacon User Manual PRELIMINARY Getting started Congratulations on purchasing your Estimote Proximity Beacon. Read this guide to get started. Estimote Proximity Beacon G1.12 is a Bluetooth wireless low energy technology enabled device. It wirelessly communicates with other Bluetooth low energy technology enabled products. The device is equipped with a high-end accelerometer with motion detection features. The batteries can supply power for over 2 years of continuous use (on default settings). After installation, the Beacons begin transmitting 2.4 GHz Bluetooth signals, similar to WiFi. They can communicate with smartphones that are as close as four inches away, or as far as 230 feet away. Applications To download the Estimote app for your iOS device please visit the App Store on iTunes, the App Store on your iOS device or download iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/. For Android visit the Google Play Store at https://play.google.com/store. In both cases, search for Estimote, download the app and proceed to follow the app instructions.
