Power button:
When the device is off, a single press of this button will turn it on When the device is on, a single press of this button will turn it off At all times, holding this button pressed for 5 seconds will perform a hard shutdown of the device. RJ45 port: the Ethernet connector is used to power up the device through POE (Power over Ethernet), it also charges the battery. It accepts an input voltage between 36 and 60 volts USB port: reserved for configuration and troubleshooting, can also be used to charge the battery. Battery operation vs Powered operations:
Whether the device is used in power by an external source (POE/USB) or when its running solely on the internal battery, it performs the exact same scanning function. It keeps looking for RFID tags at the same periodical rate and performs the same actions whenever a tag enters the field. The main difference is that when the network cable is connected, the scanner will synchronise its internal database with the cloud. This function can also be performed when operated in battery mode, but then the wifi has to be associated to an internet providing access point. Installation To install the device, simply unscrew the knob and attach the clamp arount the desired structure. Tighten the knob by hand until the device is fix on the structure until it requires too much manual force. At that point, the device can be locked in position by pushing down the locking lever. The box is sealed and waterproof so it can be used in outdoor environments including snow and rain. Regulatory Information Notice to Users:
