ANTENNA Caution: Both the transmitter and receiver antenna must be in the upright or vertical position to operate at maximum capability. If the transmitter antenna is held horizontally to the ground and the receiver antenna is positioned vertically, they will not perform properly. Your RC-3 transmitter and receiver are equipped with a permanent UHF antenna. This antenna allows ease of operation and ranges out to 100+ yards. LIMITATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS 1. Your transmitter and receiver antenna must both be in the upright or vertical position to function properly. properly. 2. A distance of at least 10 feet must separate the transmitter and receiver for the RC-3 to work 4. 3. Power consumption will increase significantly, so recharging your caller battery will become necessary more often than you are accustomed to. Remember, the higher the volume, the greater the power consumption. In order for your RC-3 to work at its maximum distance, the 9V battery installed in the transmitter must be new and in good working order. A weak battery will cause poor transmission between the transmitter and receiver. When in doubt, install a new battery. We recommend that you use a high quality alkaline battery. Do not recharge batteries!
5. You will find that the caller will be more easily transported in the CB-1 Camo Caller Bag, as wires may catch on brush. Use a rubber band or cable tie to bundle excess wire. (See accessories below for CB-1 description). 6. The polarity of the speaker wires on the 612 unit must match the polarity of the wiring of the RC-3. Should you correctly attach your RC-3 to your 612 and find that it does not work, it is possible that the polarities do not match. This is corrected by reversing the wires to the 612 speaker. If you are not comfortable making this change, contact our customer service representative at 1-319-395-0321 to schedule a no charge service adjustment.
