RF Exposure Safety Notice This remote control transmitter is not intended to be operated closer than 20cm (about 8 inches) to your body. The transmitter can produce a radiated RF field similar to that of a standard cell telephone, although the duty cycle of this RF field is much lower than that of a cell telephone. Using the transmitter closer than 8 inches to your body can increase your exposure to RF energy levels thought by some to be harmful. Additionally, operation in close proximity to your body can detune the antenna causing a decrease in operating performance. The following statement is required by the FCC to be included in this RF exposure notice even though it does not pertain to you since you cannot change or alter the built-in antenna:

The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all parsons and must not be co-

located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. End-users and installers must be provided with antenna installation instructions and transmitter operating conditions for satisfying RF exposure compliance.

Instructions to Integrators for use of the FOXPRO 505MOD20DB Modular Transmitter The 505MOD20DB modular transmitter has received regulatory approvals in accordance with FCC CFR47 Part 15 Subpart C 15.247 and with Part 15.212 Modular Transmitter Approval for modular devices in the United States, and Industry Canada under RSS-210 and RSS-Gen. in Canada. This approval allows for the incorporation of the module inside finished products without the need for regulatory testing for an intentional radiator (RF transmitter) provided no changes are made to the module circuitry. Changes or modifications to the module could void your authority to market products containing the module. Integrators must comply with these instructions so as to ensure compliance with FCC and Industry Canada regulations. The only antenna authorized for use with the 505MOD20DB modular transmitter is a single element wave monopole made of wire with a length of 3.1 inches, plus or minus 0.1 inches. The products that contain the module must be labeled in accordance with Part 15.19 on the outside of the product so as to be easily seen by the consumer. The label must be permanent and include the following information and statements:

This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment OFF and ON, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

- Connect the equipment into a different outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.

RF Exposure Caution: To satisfy FCC RF exposure requirements for mobile and base station transmission devices, a separation distance of 20 cm or more should be maintained between the antenna of this device and persons during operation. To ensure compliance, operation at closer than this distance is not recommended. The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. The integrator must not deviate from the FOXPRO Inc supplied software settings for operation of the modular transmitter so as to ensure compliance with the FCC and Industry Canada certification.
