Switches the keyboard on and off. 2) Micro USB Charging Port:
The Freedom Expression Slim is powered by an internal rechargeable battery. This will give the average person around 100 hours of use before it needs to be recharged. The keyboard will automatically go into power saving mode (switch itself off) if it is left turned on for 15 minutes without any input. To take the keyboard out of power saving mode, simply switch the keyboard off and then switch it back on again. To recharge the Freedom Expression Slim:
Use either the Micro USB cable supplied or a standard Micro USB charger (such as a mobile phone charger). While charging the power warning light will show up as solid red. Once fully charged the power warning light will switch off. Charging can take between 3-4 hours to fully recharge from flat. 3) Pairing Button/Indicator Lights (Blue):
Used for putting keyboard in pairing button. 3.1) Bluetooth Indicator Light (Blue):
Flashes rapidly when in pairing/waiting to connect mode (once per second). Flashes slowly when connected (once every 8 seconds). 3.2) Power Warning Light (Red):
Flashes when batteries need to be replaced. 4). Apple Home Key Skip Back Skip back to previous media track 3 Connecting the keyboard to an Apple iOS Device Pairing the Keyboard 1) Turn the keyboard on and press pairing button, which is situated on the top right hand corner of the keyboard, for 5 seconds. 2) On your Apple iOS Device, go to Settings". Then from the settings screen select General. 3) Now under the General settings select Bluetooth. Once your device finds the keyboard select Freedom Expression Slim from the list. 4 4) Your device will now give you a 4 digit passkey. Enter this key onto the Freedom Expression Slim and press enter to complete the pairing (also on the Freedom Expression Slim). 5) Now go back to the Settings page and select Keyboard. 5 6) Select International Keyboards. Now select QWERTY and US International PC. Optional: You can also add additional keyboard layouts for other language inputs. Select the International Keyboards button again and then select the Add New Keyboard option. 7) Now your Freedom Expression Slim will be connected. From this point forward you just need to switch the keyboard on and off when you need it. It will automatically reconnect when switched on. 6 General Trouble shooting and FAQ. Q) My device is not seeing the keyboard when Im trying to pair it. A) Please ensure the keyboard is turned on and that you have held down the pairing button for at least 5 seconds. Also make sure that the Bluetooth LED on the keyboard is flashing. If the LED is not flashing check the keyboard has sufficient battery life. Q) Some of the keys are not matching what is showing on screen. A) The Freedom Expression Slim is based on the US International keyboard layout. Some devices will require you to change your input layout settings to US International. Q) The keyboard drops connection or I get key repeats A) This can happen if either the battery power on the keyboard is low or if there is another Bluetooth device connected at the same time, which is taking a priority connection.
