SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS SMARTFIND OPERATION Installing Batteries Key Ring Receivers Each key ring receiver uses one CR2032 button cell battery
(included). 1. Use a small precision screwdriver to remove the screw on the back of the receiver. Remove the battery cover. 2. Install the supplied battery into each key ring receiver, ensuring the '+' side of the battery is facing up. Using the Key Ring Receiver The SmartFind Personal Item locator has two key ring receivers. Each receiver is color- and number-coded to match a corresponding STG-1213 Manual button on the transmitter. 1.Attach keys to color-coded key ring receivers. 2. press and hold the appropriate color-coded button on the transmitter for five seconds. 3. If the key ring receiver is in range (60 feet), it emits an audible beep. 4. If no beep is heard. change your location and press and hold the color-coded button again for five seconds. Attaching the Slim Receiver The SmartFind Personal Item Locator also has two slim receivers. Each slim receiver is color and number-coded to match a corresponding button on the transmitter. The slim receivers can easily be attached to many common household items,such as a cell phone. TV remote control. PDA, eyeglass case or wallet,using the included double-sided tape. 1. Remove paper cover from one side of the double-sided tape strip. 2. Insert sticky side of the tape strip into the recessed cavity located on the back of the slim receiver. Press firmly for five seconds to securely attach. 3. Remove paper cover from the other side of the tape strip. 4. Press firmly against the item. Do not overtighten the screw. Slim Receivers Each slim receiver uses one CR2032 button cell battery( included) . 1. Pull out the battery door (the colored area). 2. Install the supplied battery into each slim receiver, ensuring the
"+" side of the battery is facing up. 3. Replace battery cover. Make sure it dicks into the main body. Transmitter uses 2 AAA batteries (not included). 1. Grasp the upper and lower sections of the transmitter and firmly pull them apart to access the battery compartment. 2. Install 2 AAA batteries into the transmitter. Be sure the polarity
(+/-) of the batteries matches the directions in the compartment. Low Battery Warning When the battery becomes depleted the key ring receiver/slim receiver beeps three times per minute to remind you to change the battery. Using the Slim Receiver 1. Attach a colored slim receiver to an object you easily misplace. 2. Press and hold the appropriate color-coded button on the transmitter for five seconds. 3. If the slim receiver is in range (60 feet), it emits an audible beep. 4. If no beep is heard,change you location and press and hold the color-coded button again for fives seconds. STG-1213 Manual If the Key Ring Receiver/slim Receiver Does Not Respond to Transmitter The key ring receiver/slim receiver may be outside the 60-foot range. Walk to another location and press the transmitter button again. The transmitter button may not have been held for five seconds. Retry holding for five seconds. It unsuccessful, press and hold one of the other buttons on the transmitter. Batteries may be weak or drained in the transmitter or receiver. Check the batteries and replace as necessary.
