() Ami APP 11 Foreword Before using this product Please read this user manual carefully in order to ensure your safety and the proper operation of this product. Keep for future reference. Thank you for purchasing a GODOX product. Godox Ami smartphone ash is light and portable with built-in lithium battery. The Ami ash offers:
Operation with phone APP: With built-in Bluetooth 4.0 Module, which enables Ami to connect the smartphone through Bluetooth, thus setting ashes or LED video lights parameters on the APP interface. Lightweight and portable: Built-in lithium battery with no carriage burden. Stable color temperature: 6000200K over the entire power range.

Warning Always keep this product dry. Do not use in rain or in damp conditions. This product contains high-voltage electronic parts. Touching the high-voltage circuit inside it may result in electric shock. Do not disassemble. Should repairs become necessary, this product must be sent to an authorized maintenance center. Stop using this product if it breaks open due to extrusion, falling or strong hit. Otherwise, electric shock may occur if you touch the electronic parts inside it. Do not leave or store the ash unit if the ambient temperature reads over 50C
(e.g. in automobile). Do not re the ash directly into the eyes (especially those of babies) within short distances. Otherwise visual impairment may occur. When taking pictures for babies, keep the ash unit at least 1 meter (3.3 feet) away from them. Using bounce ash to reduce light intensity is also recommended. Do not use the ash unit in the presence of ammable gases, chemicals and other similar materials. In certain circumstances, these materials may be sensitive to the strong light emitting from this ash unit and re or electromagnetic interference may result. Please disconnect the charger after getting fully charged. Conventions used in this Manual This manual is based on the assumption that both the camera and camera flashs power switches are powered on. Reference page numbers are indicated by p.**. The following alert symbols are used in this manual:

Battery Features 1. This ash unit uses non-detachable built-in Li-ion polymer battery which has long runtime. 2. It is reliably safe. The inner circuit is against overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and short circuit. 3. Take only 1 hour to fully charge the battery by charging through the micro USB port. *Long press the < > Power Switch for 2 seconds to control the on/off of the ash unit. Turn off if the ash unit will not be used for an extended period. The ash unit will enter sleep mode after a certain period (approx. 30 minutes) of idle use. Note: Short press the ON/OFF button < > can test the ash.

Flash Mode This ash has one ash modes: Auto (auto ash: A). The camera and the Ami will work together to calculate the correct exposure for the subject and the background. Flash Connects with Smartphone 1. Press the < > Button to turn on the Ami ash. 2. Search Godox Ami in iPhones APP Store and download the APP. Or install the APP by scanning the QR Code with your smartphone. 3. Open the APP and choose < >. Bluetooth ISO 160 4. Search Bluetooth of devices. 5. Approach the Ami ashes to the smartphone nd the Bluetooths whose name begins with "Ami"
and choose the one which has the strongest signal to connect. 6. Back to the APPs Camera interface after being successfully matched. 7. When successfully matched, Amis Bluetooth indicator is off while the red recycle indicator is lighten. APP Instruction 1. Open the operation interface of APP. 2. APP
(1) Bluetooth link icon: click to enter the Bluetooth link interface and choose the corresponding Bluetooth ID to link Ami ash. For example, Ami-xxxx (x:0--9,A--F). When there are several Ami ashes in the same occasion, approach the Ami ashes to the smartphone and choose the one which has the strongest signal to connect.

0.0 Protection Function 1. Low Battery Protection When the battery level is too low, the ash cannot be used and the battery level indication is blinking. 2. Short Circuit, Overcurrent and Overvoltage Protections With built-in hardware to protect circuit. Auto power off will occur when running into short circuit, overcurrent and overvoltage. 3. Over-Temperature Protection:
Over-temperature protection: when the intervals between the two ashes is within 10 seconds, the over-temperature protection will be activated after ring 40 times in full power with approx. two-meter distance. When over-temperature protection occurs, the blue lamp, not the battery level indicator, will blinks in 1 second's cycle until the over-temperature protection is relieved. Now if continues to re ashes, the recycle time will be longer (max. 8s). And the over-temperature protection will be relieved if stops ring for 3 minutes. The over-temperature protection will be activated when the temperature of ashs internal component is over 80C and be relieved below 60C. The over-temperature protection will be activated when ring in full power for 40 times with approx. two-meter shooting distance.

There was a highly reective object (e.g. glass window) in the picture. Do not cover the light sensitive part. The light sensitive part shall be placed towards the photographed object. Clean the dirty places of light sensitive part with cotton swabs. As the max. shutter of APPs camera part is relatively low, overexpose is easy to be occurred in outdoor light. Maintenance
- Shut down the device immediately should abnormal operation be detected.
- Avoid sudden impacts and the product should be dedusted regularly.
- It is normal for the ash tube to be warm when in use. Avoid continuous ashes if unnecessary.
- Maintenance of the ash must be performed by our authorized maintenance department which can provide original accessories.
- This product, except consumables e.g. ash tube, is supported with a one-year warranty.
- Unauthorized service will void the warranty.
- If the product had failures or was wetted, do not use it until it is repaired by professionals.
- Changes made to the specications or designs may not be reected in this manual.
