IMPORTANT: Standby Power function will NOT operate when the Master Power Switch is set OFF. Master Power Switch under the cap on the back panel must be set ON for Standby & your Sol Jam to operate. Bluetooth When turned on, the Sol Jam will search for your Bluetooth. Refer to Set Up Recommendations 1-2-3 part for details. 3 EcoCast Press button to cycle through 3 modes: Speaker Mode, EcoCast Transmitting Mode, and EcoCast Receiving Mode. You can also PRESS AND HOLD to reject an incoming call. NOTE: To use this feature, the Sol Jam MUST be paired with your Bluetooth device. Party Lights Press button to cycle through 8 Party Light modes: White, White (Low), Green, Red, Blue, Music Sync, Color Fade, and Off. When the Sol Jam is turned off, press button to turn on the LED Battery Level Indicators. They will remain on for 3 seconds. IMPORTANT: Battery Level function will NOT operate when the Master Power Switch is set OFF. LED Status Indicators There are 4 LED Status Indicators located on the Top of the unit. Each LED indicates a different feature status: Power, Charge, Bluetooth, and EcoCast. When turned on, the Power LED above the Standby Power Button will shine Green, indicating Power On Status. Connect the USB-C Input on the Back Panel to a power source. The Charge LED indicates Charging Status. FLASHING RED: Charge in process SOLID RED: Full charge complete Connect your smartphone, or other personal device, to the USB Output on the Back Panel to charge your device. Solar charging is most efficient if the entire solar panel on the Sol Jam is directly facing the sun without any obstacles in the way. The efficiency of the solar charging varies based on a variety of factors: angle of the sun, global location, time of day, time of year, and cloud cover. If the Sol Jam battery is full, the solar charging circuitry within the Sol Jam turns off until the battery is drained and needs recharging. Connect the USB-C port to the USB cable and a 5V power source. Charge the unit until the LED Charging Status Indicator and all four Battery Level Indicators are green, indicating a full charge. NOTE: The LED Charging Status Indicator will only turn on while the Sol Jam is connected to a 5V power source. It will flash red while charging and switch to solid red when the unit has reached a full charge. Approximately 4 hours of charging is required from a low to a full charge. If all the speakers are turned off, then turned on, the speaker(s) in EcoCast Receiving Mode (Speakers B, C, and D) will automatically re-connect to the speaker in Transmitting Mode (Speaker A). If they are not automatically re-connected, please follow the above steps. You can also pair the Sol Jam with any other ECOXGEAR speaker bearing the EcoCast symbol
. The EcoCast functionality is only available while using Bluetooth as your Audio Source at a maximum range of 30 feet between speakers. While connecting the Sol Jam speakers, make sure that the speakers are within a few feet of each other. Bluetooth Pairing & Your Audio Connecting With Bluetooth:
Connect To Your Smart Device & Play Audio When your Sol Jam is turned on, the LED Bluetooth Status Indicator on the Top Panel will flash blue, indicating the unit is ready to pair. Turn on Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device (Smart Device) and set the device in pairing mode. Available Bluetooth connections shall appear. Select the ECOXGEAR speaker from the list of discovered devices on your Bluetooth device. Wait for a few seconds until the connection is completed. NOTE: Bluetooth connection feature is found in the Settings section of most mobile phones and other Bluetooth enabled devices. When the ECOXGEAR selection is made and the Bluetooth connection is completed, your Sol Jam will announce: Your phone is connected. The Bluetooth Status Indicator will shine blue. Once connected, select and play your desired audio. Pairing Mode: If the Bluetooth Status Indicator is not flashing or if you wish to place your Sol Jam in pairing mode, press and release the Bluetooth Button on the Top Panel. Your Sol Jam shall announce, Ready to connect, when ready to pair to a new device. NOTE: Your Sol Jam shall sync & wirelessly pair with most Bluetooth enabled devices. The unit remembers the last device paired and will automatically search for previous connections when the speaker is turned on or when a device comes back into Bluetooth range. If a connection is lost due to range, the speaker will look to re-establish that connection. If Bluetooth is turned off on your Smart Device, the Sol Jam may not automatically look for the device. RECOMMENDATION: If you are not familiar with Bluetooth pairing for your Smartphone or other Smart Device, refer to the User Guide for your Smartphone to learn how to add and pair a new device (Sol Jam for instance) to your Smartphone using Bluetooth. Bluetooth Pairing & Connections: Once paired, should you have an issue switching between Bluetooth connections between devices, open the Bluetooth Section within the device currently connected to the Sol Jam and delete the Bluetooth connection. Back Panel: Functions Master Power Switch Sol Jam has a separate Master Power Switch and a Standby Button. The switch MUST be set to the ON position to power your Sol Jam. Once the switch is set to ON, use the Standby Power Button located on the Top Panel to turn the unit On/Off. NOTE: When not in use for extended periods, turn the Master Power off to preserve battery life. IMPORTANT: Standby Power function will NOT operate when the Master Power is set to OFF. Input Connect the USB cable to the USB-C Input (5V, 2A) to charge your Sol Jam. RECOMMENDATION: Use the USB cable included in the box. NOTE: Charge time from low to full charge is approximately 4 hours. While playing audio, Sol Jam can be charged or charge your device. Battery play time shall be reduced depending on the time and size of the device charging while connected to your Sol Jam. CAUTION: Do NOT charge if unit and/or connections are wet or damp. Audio AUX-IN Connect an audio device using the 3.5mm cable connection as an alternative to a Bluetooth connection to your Sol Jam.
